Yep, there is a fee. It can be up to $15 if the balance is less than $100, up to $27 if the balance is between $100 and $250, and up to $37 if the balance is $250 or more.

I think that I would only choose this card if no other cards were available to me. It seems like a decent card, but there are a few things that put me off. First of all, and this may sound silly but, I don't like the look of the card. While the look of the card wouldn't deter me from a great offer, it would dissuade me from taking up an average offer like Chase Slate. With so many other offers available, a great credit card really needs to have something to set it apart like rewards. For now, I'll stick with my shiny red BOA card.

I don't like the fact that this card offers no rewards. With the interest rates that one pays for this card, a person could have a different card with the same rate that pays in rewards.

I personally prefer my Bank of America Cash Back card to this card, even though BoA can sometimes be a hassle. This card really needs some sort of incentive to get customers interested in using it, such as cash back, gift cards to specific store/restaurants, etc. I also do not care for the look of the card. I much prefer the regular landscape card as opposed to the vertical card this one uses. Although, I do enjoy the metallic feel this card has, it is very unique.

I am absolutely in love with my Chase Slate card. This card is amazing, I just use it and pay it off each and every month. Here is a list of positives about it; easy management online with paying your credit card off each month. Friendly customer service each time I call. Another reason i really like this card, is that if i ever have a problem I can just travel to my neighborhood Chase branch and get my questions answered and taken care of. There are however some disadvantages to this card. As mentioned previously it does not offer any rewards incentives that many other Chase cards offer nowadays. Also in my personal opinion the interest rate applied on this card is a bit high compared to other cards offered from different competitors.

Honestly I don't like Chase in general so I'm not a big fan of their credit card products, with the exception of the Amazon.com card, Slate is no different. There isn't really any special reason to choose this card over any other and the fact that Chase is poor at customer service makes it worth avoiding. Honestly the only thing about it that I ever liked while I was using it was the design of the card itself which I thought was pretty unique and attention grabbing. Rates, fees and other features are pretty much standard, and the other big downside is that it offers nothing in return for using it. Why would anyone choose a non-rewards earning card these days?

The Slate from Chase credit card is a mediocre credit card at best. There are no incentives to get the card in the first place, except for the 0% APR introductory offer. There are no rewards or cash back offered with this card, and the standard APR on this card is about average, from about 13 to 23 percent. The great things about this card are the no annual fee, and that it is backed by Chase bank. Also, the 0% APR offer lasts for the first 15 months, whereas a lot of other credit cards only have the introductory offer for 12 months. All in all, the Chase card is mediocre unless you want a card to take advantage of the no interest introductory offer, or don't have the option to get a rewards card based on your credit.

My wife recently got this card (Slate from Chase) after having a Chase Freedom Card for many years. While it does not have all the bells and whistles, and fancy rewards that a lot of other cards have, it does have an excellent company behind it. We both have had several cards from Chase, and their customer service has always been helpful. They called, stopped the charge, and issued new cards the second they saw a charge in a foreign country five minutes after using it at the local store. The best part about upgrading to the Slate, is the long 0% interest, it is a great plan, just in time for the holiday.

The chase slate seems better than it is. It presents itself as a good card that offers amazing benefits but I think it is perfectly average. There are many better offers out there including the freedom card from chase. Its interest rates are average, the introductory period of 0% APR can be matched by different cards that would give you more, like rewards which this one doesn't. Its cool looking because it is vertical when most cards are horizontal and it does give you more control over your finances so it is good for first time credit card holders who are still trying to make sense of it but for big time spenders with more credit knowledge I would go with a better card since so many are out there.

The Slate card does not have particularly amazing rewards, but it is simple and functional. I was able to attain the card with a mediocre credit score and use it to built my credit back up. The blueprint aspect makes it very clear what you owe and how long it will take to pay off the debt. I appreciate how clear and straightforward they make it! I found it to be very easy to transfer balances, with zero interest rates, from other cards. Overall, a good experience with Chase and one I'd recommend for anyone looking for a starter credit card.
