this is my favourite card as they treat me for what I am - a very credit savvy person who can get credit anywhere as I have never missed a payment and always pay my balance in full every month. So they know I can go to another company at any time. If a question or mistake arises, they take care of it and treat me with respect. I do not like paying fees or charges, if you look around you do not have to, especially in this economy - they understand that. Take charge of your finances and they will respond in kind. I have had my card over 20 years and do not plan to change to another.

I’ve had my Citi diamond preferred card for almost two years now and I’ve never been happier. I was given eighteen months interest free and after that I received a very low interest rate. I’ve used it to purchase everything form plane tickets to diapers and have never had an issue. With the extra cash program I’ve been receiving all sorts of discounts on name brand items and gift cards. Plus I’ve got 24-hour concierge service.. All I have to do is give them the information and they can make dinner reservations and reserve a hotel room if I so request it.

My favorite thing about this card is the 18 month 0%APR on balance transfers. This made my life so much easier when trying to consolidate my debts. With no annual fee I don't feel like I am getting ripped off like some credit cards. The rewards are wonderful and I take advantage of the presale concert tickets all the times. I have dealt with customer service on a few occasions and they are always helpful and attentive. Willing to do whatever they have to do to fix the problem that we are dealing with. They talk up there 0%liabilty on purchases I didn't make, this seems like a positive thing, but I have never personally had to use this.

My Citi Diamond preferred card has done all I want it to do and more. With a 0% rate for the first year and a half, I can make all the purchases I want without worrying about fees and whatnot. Of course, I am conscientious with my purchases, and never go over my limits. The rewards are amazing, and the customer service (security, mistakes they make and correct, and so on) is amazing. I have never been wrongly charged. The balance transfers are nice, because it can be used to transfer money to other accounts at a rather low fee. There is no reason not to get another card, due to its amazing benefits, rewards, and Citi’s customer service.

My Citi Diamond Preferred card is one of my favorite balance transfer cards that I have. They always have the best balance transfer offers, which it seems they have new offers every month. It seems lately if you open a new card with them they are for 18 months no interest, but when I opened my card last year it was 21 months no interest. Of all the cards with balance transfer offers, it was the best one available. I now receive about 2 balance transfer offers a month, and they are generally no interest for about 13-14 months. I like the Extra Cash from Citi concept as a rewards program, too. The daily deals for that are actually really good deals from what I've seen. Overall, a good card, especially if you need to transfer some balances to take advantage of the low interest rate!

This Citi Diamond Preferred Credit Card is amazing. It has done always what I needed at the time. Once when I had a problem they were very kind and gave me the best support I could imagine. That is the only time I have ever had a problem and had to contact them for support. Also it does not have a annual fee. If ever my friends need to get a credit card I will definitely tell them to get this credit card. It works amazingly well and I am so very happy with it. It has way surpassed my expectations.

The Citi Diamond Preferred card is my go-to credit card. The interest rate isn’t the best, but when I really appreciated the 18 months with no interest, and from time to time the card offers me a no interest balance transfer. The balance transfers can also be used to deposit money straight into a bank account if you need a little cash. This means you can get money straight in the bank without having to pay the higher cash advance rates (you don’t get the cash immediately, however). It is easy to schedule online payments on their website. If you don’t have the credit to get a better interest rate, this is a great card to use in the meantime.

This card has done what we wanted it to. We love the rewards. The black color is pretty sweet, and it is great to have them as a credit provider. Once, our number was stolen, and they called us to tell us that there were unauthorized transactions, and they took care of everything. We just love, love, love it. I am so thankful that they provided me the opportunity to write this review. GO CITICARD!

I’m trying to find a connection between Diamonds, Platinum, and Simplicity. Does Citi think it’s easy to get diamonds and platinum? I don’t know, but the Citi Diamond Preferred Card, Platinum Select Card and Simplicity Card all offer basically the same terms. None offers rewards or charges an annual fee. All charge 3% balance transfer fees. All require excellent credit. And all offer 0% on both purchases and balance transfers for 18 months. So should you pick one? Should it be the Diamond Preferred Citicard or another? How do you choose. Here’s my pro/con list for the Diamond Preferred Card, I think it will help.
Pros
- 0% on purchases for 18 months: A year and a half without having to pay interest on a big purchase? Yes please. The same length of time to only pay the minimum each month and let my money EARN interest? Course. - No annual fee: You don’t want to waste money on an annual fee when your trying to save on interest. - Lowish regular rate: The Diamond Preferred’s regular APR is 11.99 – 21.99%, depending on your credit standing. This is the same as the Platinum Select and slightly better than the Simplicity’s 12.99-21.99%.
Cons
- 3% balance transfer fee: This can cost you hundred(s) of bucks, so it makes the Citi Diamond Preferred Credit Card ill-suited for balance transfers. - High credit requirement: It sorta stinks that you need excellent credit to get the Diamond Preferred Card because the people who you’d think would really need help paying off debt are those with lower scores.
When you get down to it, there is really no difference between the Citi Diamond Preferred Card and the Citi Platinum Select Card; either would be a great choice for paying off big purchases. Neither would be better for balance transfers than the No Balance Transfer Fee Chase Slate Card.
