There's no rush. I have heard people that got their accounts closed after 18 months from inactivity, but that's rare. And although not using your card won't hurt your credit, it's better to use your card a little than to not use it at all.
The highest credit limit for the Citi Diamond Preferred card can be over $10,000, according to multiple reports from cardholders on online forums. Citibank does not typically disclose the maximum spending limit for any of its unsecured credit cards. Not everyone is likely to qualify for the highest credit limit,... show more

This card seems okay, but not the best. Besides the fact that there are absolutely no rewards offered, the transfer fee and interest rate is quite high, as well as the standard interest rate. I want my card to be working for me and this one does not.

The 0% APR for the first 18 months and long-term interest rates are attractive compared to most other offers and the concierge service is a plus. However, the Citi Diamond Preferred lacks the lucrative rewards programs that most of today's cards boast. This card is especially attractive to recent graduates needing a credit line without the interest rates until steady pay comes in, though consumers looking for a card to use everyday to rack up points may want to look elsewhere.

The Citi Diamond Preferred Card doesn't seem to have a high interest rate or an annual fee which is a good thing. If I were looking for another credit card I'd go with this card simply because there is no interest rate for the first 18 months.

The Citi Diamond Preferred Card is really a step above the rest. The first 18 months you get a 0% interest rate and after your first 18 months, your interest rate will only be between 12% and 20%. This interest rate is great compared to other cards! Their cash advance rate, along with their fees, are about average. The card also offers you access to online discounts, which could be as good as some companies reward programs. They even offer concierge services, presale tickets, preferred seating, VIP packages, and entertainment experiences. The perks on this card really outweigh a lot of competitors! For someone who goes to sporting events, concerts and other events, this card is really a must have!

One might initially shy away from the Citi Diamond Preferred Card because it does not have a listed rewards program, but a shrewd financial planner will be able to use the other outstanding features of this card to potentially earn or gain more than any rewards card could offer. As budget appealing as just about any of the top rated credit cards available on the market. The card first of all offers a year and a half time frame of free interest on all purchases including balance transfers. Although the standard 3% fee is attached to transfers, allowing 18 months to erase these balances is truly enticing. After the introductory period the interest rate will establish at a rate between 11.99% and 21.99% depending on the cardholders established history to date, ranking it in the top tier for interest rates available. The Citi Diamond Preferred Card also offers a concierge service to assist in booking travel arrangements, so as a travel related credit option it stands above most. With an outstanding introductory interest free period, followed by an excellent interest rate, in spite of not having a rewards program, the Citi Diamond Preferred Card is an outstanding credit card choice from a long-term financial standpoint.

First thing I always notice about credit cards, the annual fee. With the Citi Diamond Preferred card, there is no annual fee. Perfect! Also, the interest rate can be pretty good, with the lowest end being in the 12% range. That is good compared to some of the other cards, which normally have around 18%. This card does not have any rewards, which is why I took one star away from it. I do like how it gives your priority access to presale tickets to a number of different events. Very cool! I would say if you have the opportunity to get this card, I would not pass up on it.

The Citi DIamond preferred card which was offered through my bank wasn't bad. Although my fiance was the one who primarily used it she was able to build her credit with this card. I would call this a "beginner's card" and I wouldn't recommend you use it forever because of the steep interest rate. It was very comparable to the Matrix Card that I was using at the time. Thanks to Citi Bank we're on our way to both building our credits with this card so we can eventually buy a house.

I have The Citi Diamond Preferred Card.It does have Concierge service which Is its only perk. It is what I call my emergency card. It is the card I keep in my wallet for that unplanned purchase I need to make. You never know what will come up with kids (especially boys). I chose this card over another when opening it because of the lower rate I was offered. I was offered the lowest 12% rate, however I read the fine print and the rates can be quite high if your credit is a bit blemished or you want a cash advance. But why not just charge the stuff you need to the card. Plus the cash advance rate is less than a payday loan so that's a plus either way you look at it. I have never needed to dispute an issue or anything like that but dealing with them initially was not a hassle nor what I felt to be a pushy process. They also don't up my line of credit or change anything without asking me first.

The Citi Diamond Preferred card is a solid but unremarkable credit card. At its lowest interest rate of 12% it's a good value, but that interest rate can scale up as high as 22% depending on credit rating. The introductory rate of 0% for 18 months and the lack of an annual fee make it a good, but not outstanding card. With no rewards program to really make it stand out and incentivize use , the only perks really seem to be the concierge service offered with the card and the opportunity to access pre-sales at certain events, which are not enough to make it stand out from the crowd.

The Citi Diamond Preferred credit card is an excellent card. It's a straight forward card with some simple benefits added in. Unlike a lot of cards the Citi card doesn't have a million little ways to earn extra pennies and then gouge you with high interest rates. It's just a credit card with a low interest rate of 12 percent and some convenient services. It does have the standard high interest rate of 25 percent for cash advance but that's the only bad thing about it. It's nearly identical to my Bank of America Premium card except the Citi card offers a few services to its members. The concierge service is great and easy to use and their presale tickets have something for everyone. Altogether I've been very happy with this card and it's been more useful than your average credit card.
