This was the first credit card I got. I applied for it while I was in college and still have it. Citi is a good company, their online account and payment system is super easy to use. I frequently use the rewards points to shop on Amazon.

I believe Citi is one of the best credit card companies out there. They have great customer service and their website is very easy to use. This card in particular has great rewards (things you actually want to get!) compared to most other credit cards. Getting a credit line increase is also fairly simple process too! I would definitely recommend this card for a student's first credit card or for someone's "main" card. I think the rewards and customer service are wonderful and make this card worth getting.

I am a sucker for bonuses, so the 10,000 point signing bonus is a big draw here. Also the fact that you get a gift certificate $100 when you redeem these points, talk about bonuses! I also love that you can earn 5 points when you spend on things such as restaurant and movies. This is the perfect card for date nights.

This card is simply awesome! The customer service is great, and the reward points that you get with the Citi Forward card are really good too. You can get 5 points per dollar if you buy things at places like restaurants and bookstores (even Amazon!), and for other transactions you get 1 point per dollar. The good thing is that you can redeem these points to pay for travel, entertainment, or even exchange the points for cash. I have used other cards like Capital One and they don't offer a rewards program this good.

The Citi forward card is fantastic. You really can't be the rewards you receive with this card. The 0% on intro APR for balance transfers is great for moving any revolving debt away from any high interest cards that I had. The rewards were similar to the CapitalOne Venture card except for the fact that this one gave me a bonus points which I was able to redeem for a gift card when I spent $650 in the first 3 months. I would recommend this card to anyone who is looking for rewards credit card.

I never miss payments, so I can't speak for the late fees or interest rates-- but the rewards on this card are great if you use the card selectively. It's not the main card in my wallet, but I use it any time I'm in a restaurant or bar. As someone in their mid-20s, I eat out a bunch and go to bars which get classified as restaurants-- and those purchases earn a cool 5 points per $1 spent. The points are worth $0.007 when redeemed on Amazon, so you're effectively getting 3.5% cashback on your drinking habits. Perfect for someone who likes to go out a bunch.
Just keep another card in your wallet for your every day purchases!

The Citi Forward card has a points rewards system which is more confusing than simple cash back. I prefer cash back cards such as my Bank of America card. The interest rate is average, but I do love the intro rate of 0% for 12 months. That would be very beneficial, especially if you have a large purchase you need to make in the near future but don’t want to pay cash. I would consider getting this card if the rewards system was up to par, but since that’s one of my biggest concerns with credit cards, I’ll have to stick to my cash back cards which work better for me.

Offered through Visa , the Citi Forward Card looks very similar to the Citiv Preferred Card on the surface. One immediate difference is the rewards program, which albeit is standard in relation to most top rated reward programs – 1-point for each $1 spent, with a max limit of 5-points. The card offers one full year at a 0% introductory rate on all purchases, including balance transfers, which is 6 months less than the sister Preferred card. But one facet of the Forward Card is the availability to those applicants who have a credit score that falls only under the good criteria. Most rewards cards with appealing introductory interest offers, plus balance transfer options, only extend credit to those reaching the excellent tier. The Citi Forward Card will allow those who have only attained a good ranking assistance in climbing the ladder to achieve the elusive excellent status category. There is no annual fee, plus some other appealing extras like a $100 store gift cards when 10,000 bonus points are attained. There are ThankYou Points generated at $650 worth of purchases if the cardholder elects to go paperless with their monthly statements. Considering a good credit history is sufficient to attain the Citi Forward Card, plus the enticing interest charges and rewards program, the card presents itself as an excellent source of credit.

My brother has the Citi Forward Credit Card and swears by it, he got it while in college. There is no annual fee, no sign up fee, no monthly fee, and a low APR of around 13%. My brother also uses his rewards all the time, and when getting 5 points per dollar at restaurants and movies, he earns them quickly. There is also 0% APR the first 12 months, how can you go wrong with that. If you pay on time and under the limit, you also get other rewards and bonuses. Lots of incentives for college students. If people are looking for other cards and do a lot of online shopping, the Amazon Credit Card has a lot of decent reward opportunities and also no annual fees. Otherwise,

The Citi Forward credit card has some very attractive features but also falls short of perfect in many ways. I personally like the 0% APR for the first 12 months. An offer that caught my eye was the 10,000 initial bonus points that will help you to begin accruing reward points quickly. However, you need to charge $650 dollars on the card, sign up for paperless statements, and redeem your 10,000 initial rewards points within the first three months in order to get your $100 gift card. You can also gain anywhere from 1 to 5 points per dollar charged to this card, but you only get 5 points per dollar when you purchase books, music, or movies. Another down side is that the cash advance rate on this card is a reasonably high rate at 25.24%. Although, my Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card is only slightly lower at 24.9%. I have not had a positive experience with Capital One customer support in the past and I think that switching to this card will make my life simpler when dealing with Citi Bank's fantastic customer support.
