They will decrease your limit for no reason. Even though you have excellent payment history and credit score. It would seem they should do the opposite and increase my limit.

"Citi Thank You"--Travel Deparment refused to refund points on cancelled-because-of-covid airline reservation, said I called 22 hours before flight rather than 24 hours(which their "policy" allows). Medical reasons(delayed test results) made it impossible to call sooner Inflexible and unforgiving when we should all be pulling together and "cutting each other some slack." All this on top of paltry points for over-priced products(cheaper just buying fares online).

Sounds like a scam due to the poor wording. Just got one of their emails and the email is legit because it mentions my actual Thankyou account number: "With your new you can start earning ThankYou® Points for amazing rewards". First of all your new WHAT? Where's the next word? Second who's dumb enough to fall for the 'amazing rewards' part? Who uses these garbage words to describe a program that is far from anything 'amazing'? It sounds like they have children running this program so I'll go 'amazing' lengths to avoid it. Makes me question Citibank's standards just for being connected to such a lousy product.

Don't fall for Thank you points. For every $2500.00 you spend you get back $25.00. If that isn't paltry enough, try using them to book a hotel. You "use" your points and then, on top of that, you pay more in dollars than you would if you just booked on line. I know.

Card still open in online banking and showing active in account, just no points left. customer services will do nothing about it and I have to take all the loss of my points because they decided it and never let me know or showed in my account. don't use, there are cards much better than this

After being a customer with 2 credit cards for years and paying on time more than minimum payment every single year, we got royally screwed. We made a balance transfer to our card on July 7. We asked when the due date normally was, July 13. So, the first due date for the balance transfer would have been August 13. We made a $450 payment, WAY over the minimum on July 15, but they would not count that towards the August 13th due date and assessed a $35 late fee and flagged us as late. I'd be fine if that was automatic, but they saw what happened and revoked the late fee. Instead, I was transferred 8 times, and put on hold 11 times, to finally have a "manager" tell me I'm the one who screwed up and paid during this July 13-17 payment no-man's land. Well, goodbye Citi, I'm sorry you don't care one bit about your customers. Going with some smaller bank or a company like discover.

I have been a Citi Preferred Thank You card user for the last 2 years. I first got it because it had an offer for 20,000 points and I was interested in taking advantage. I also had a Bank Of America Amex card, but it seemed this one would earn points quicker. And so it has proved it does. With what I spend, I have earned a lot of points that I have changed for Gift Cards. My favorite thing is that I can do so with as little as 5,000 points. I don't loose value if I have less points. For example, my Amex card would only give me 20$ for 5000 points, and 350 for 35,000. Where as this card give me a 50$ gift card for 5,000. So that is my favorite thing about the card. I also just had fraud on the card (more than 1,000 of fraudulant charges). Citi's service quickly reversed the transactions, cancelled my previous card and FedEx'd me a new set of cards. It took me about 10 mins to have all of this done, with little hassle. So I am really impressed with their service. The other feature I like is that I get my FICO score, which is very useful. Android Pay also works very well with this card. The only things i would improve would be to have more points (some cards are now offering more cashback).

I received my Citi Perfered card back in Jan, With a offer of 20,000 points after sending 1,500 in the 1st 3 months. I have spent well over that and didn't get my signing bonus. So I contact them online chat twice now, and they say that can't find that offer, which is still being offered now but they say my account doesn't have that offer attached to it, so the gave me 2,000 and a courtesy. Needless to say once I pay off the balance they can take their card and shove it.

I have this card and the Citi® Diamond Preferred® Card, which I have also written a review about. I trust Citibank and they have always been good to me. I needed two cards, one for personal and one for business. I have had no problems with either card. This card is especially good if you like to use the rewards program. I don't so I can't really comment on that. All in all, good card and good company.
