Truly the worst customer service. I've talked to three agents because they can't keep track of what they are doing. I was so glad to talk to an agent without a strong accent but they have not been helpful in the least.

Steer clear. Don't expect the fraudulent Virginia Surety Company ever to take any of your rightful Purchase Protection Claims seriously; they will all be denied, with bogus terms and conditions invoked. Pay your annual fee to a company that is actually willing to allow you to use the services you are paying for.

Apparently made a mistake by enrolling to Citi credit card . Wasted $95 . Very Poor customer service ,call transfer happens from one agent to another on and on for hours , no matter how trivial is your query, low credit limit despite having excellent credit score, available balance not getting updated immediately, even paying balances, are some factors which would make it difficult to earn bonus points on offer. There are no other rewards or offers associated to this card . Customer service agents poor English is difficult to understand. Merchant returns disappears between pending to posted transactions , adding to lots of confusion. Soon I am going to cancel this card .Will not recommend Citi credit card at all , unless you have no other options left on this earth , as far as credit card is concerned.

Don't waste your hard inquiry!!! I got denied and then spoke to the reconsideration line still declined. I have never been declined a credit card and I have a great credit score, great income, and no debt. The next day I applied for the Capital One Venture Miles Rewards card and got approved. That card is much better you get 75,000 miles and you get free to lobby and TSA check-in.

I just signed up for the Citi Premier credit card. I've gotten the card in the mail and activated it promptly as you would with any other credit card. However, for some reason, I am unable to add it to my apple wallet. When I call Citibank to troubleshoot the issue, they tell me that the card is not activated and that they need to send me a code, and ask for my phone number. I give them my phone number and they tell me that they can't use it. No idea why they can't use it. So then I give them my husband's number, and same thing, can't use it. Then I try my fathers number, can't use it. Then they want a fix line, so I go to my husband's work and call them again, give them the number, and, yes, you guessed it, they can't use it! They tell me it has to be a number associated with my account, which my cell phone is, but we've already established that they can't use it. Then she wants my work phone number, but yes we all know by now that that didn't work either. So now they're sending me a letter in the mail that contains some kind of secret information that I will need to give them when I call for the 3rd time, not to mention that it takes 10 days to get the letter and I've now had this stupid card for 2 weeks and I still can't use it! What kind of a joke is this? I've NEVER had to deal with anything this ridiculous. This is ridiculous!!!

Customer service is poor. They give vendors an excessive amount of time to respond to disputes (compared to other cards I've had). They simply are not pro-customer.

Scammers! Got approved for only 2k, need to spend 4k to get the bonus. Made a payment of 1k to continue using the card. It's been 7 business days and the amount hasn't posted. Called Citi and said payment is on hold for verification. My bank already posted the payment the day after I made it. Not sure what the hold is. Also, I already have another card with Citi and that payment took 2 business days. I had to pay for a 1k purchase on another card and now may not make the 4k needed to get the bonus points. It's like they don't want me to make the 4k purchases in 3 months, since they take like 2 weeks to post a payment.

Worst Experience Ever - Card was approved and then issued after two weeks and then locked without an explanation. After several phone calls we received an email from Citi requesting a social security form by mail to allow a third party vendor access to verify the social security information, after they had already sent the card and after we had already started using it. The whole thing felt like a scam and every time we called to see if they had received the form, we were treated as if we were responsible for the situation, when Citi did not do their due diligence before approving and issuing the card. After a week of having mailed the form, they still can't confirm if the form was received or by when their third party will process the information. When we asked for them to close the account and refund their service fee, they told us we had to wait until they finished the whole process, so we could close it if we still wanted to, through their customer service. Needless to say, we are now concerned as to what type of third party vendor they do business with and what they will do with our information.

Honestly, It's incredibly difficult to find how a lot of sites are generating their ratings for credit cards in general. I'd guess that most people have pretty polarizing opinions or they wouldn't even bother leaving them (myself included). Maybe? Just speculating. Anyway, here goes. I got my Premier card last week around Wednesday or Thursday and activated it immediately. I then attempted to use it on Saturday for a fairly large purchase right off the bat (a little over $2,200 or so). This amount is well within the limit of the card, but being the first purchase on the card it's understandable that it was flagged as potential fraud. The transaction was declined but I told the cashier to try again just in case, but no dice. I got the standard text message pretty quickly after asking me if I had just charged the card for that amount "reply y/n...", you know the message. I replied with a "Y" and got back a confirmation text that I was good to go. Great, I had the cashier rerun the card, still declined. Annoyed, I check the app this time and was pleased to find that I could also acknowledge that it was in fact still me attempting to run the same transaction for a 3rd time. At this point I got another follow up text message to which I again responded with a "Y". I had the cashier run the card for a 4th time which again failed. At this point I gave up and put the purchase on another card because I was frustrated and ready to leave. As I was leaving I attempted to call the phone number in the app for support which, after answering a couple of questions put me in what I assume was a queue with no noise. No sounds, no confirmation of waiting, nothing. I waited on that line for around 10 minutes or so before hanging up and calling the number on the card. This was a better choice, though not by much. After answering the same questions though a different system I was placed in the queue again, this time with annoying elevator music (but that's better than not knowing if you're actually waiting). Anyway, after waiting for around an hour I eventually talked to someone who emphatically promised me that the issue had been cleared up and I was good to go. He gave me his name several time as though it meant something that HE was the one assuring me. Great, all set. UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING. I woke up to a slew of new please confirm this transaction message from the day before (the same aforementioned transaction attempt) and a missed call/voicemail. I eventually got a second call (which I also unfortunately missed). I kind of assumed that this was follow up due to some disconnect between systems so I didn't pay too much mind until today. It's now Wednesday of the following week. I checked the app and I now have the same warning message that says I have to again contact support to use the card. Holy $***. Are you even sure it's meant to be used? It's been a week, probably about 2 hours of my time trying to call at this point, and I haven't put a single transaction on it yet! I mean, it's not even that nice looking of a card. Anyway, I can't tell you anything about using the card but I can tell you that if you ever have an issue it would also be a great time to start your tax returns.
