As a college student with little credit history, I recently decided to sign up for a credit card in order to build a credit rating. I could not be happier with my decision to get the Discover More Card. 0% Interest on things I pay back quickly is very important for someone like myself who needs to make every cent count, and the cashback bonuses help me save up for things like books (or, realistically, alcohol). I don't often use credit cards as I prefer to pay with cash or debit, however, I have yet to have a bad experience with my Discover card, and in all am very pleased with it.

I too was drawn to the Discover card for the low introductory rate. To be honest I had often gotten offers for Discover but never really considered them. To me it didn't seem to be as widely accepted as the Visa, Mastercard or American Express Cards. I have one of each of those as well. I did enjoy the break from interest that the Discover allowed for the transfer, however I found that I did not often use the card. I did find some places that accepted it but still chose one of my other cards. I wanted to pay the balance off before the introductory period to benefit from the interest break. I also was more accustomed to using one of the other cards. I did use it a few times but not as often as I thought I would. On one occasion when I was making a purchase I used my Visa because I did't see that the store accepted Discover. I did find out after the transaction that they did take the Discover card, but it was not displayed on the sign. I am not sure how often this happens but it makes me think that perhaps the Discover is still not enjoying the widespread use of the big three companies. There are some very attractive features with this card. I think It will take more time for this card to catch on though. I used it more as a tool for paying off a large balance. I think that in order for this to be a truly useful card it needs to become more of a "go to" card like the others. For this to happen stores will need to display the acceptance more consistently. It is also not as accepted in other countries from what I have seen in the places I have traveled. I was not able to use it on a recent trip to Canada and only the Visa was really widely accepted when I went to Mexico. I have no complaints about the service of the company and the billing. I just don't seem to use it.

This is my go to credit card. I have been a loyal Discover card user since 2001. It started with the American flag card design and moved on to a personalized design with my first initial on it. I put all purchases on it and reap the rewards in the form of 5% cash back and 1% cash back. There are extra rewards for having your cable and phone bills automatically billed to the Discover card. It seems like every few months it's time for me to receive a $50 cashback reward. The cashback reward can go directly to Amazon.com purchases which is convenient to buy gifts for others. The ShopDiscover feature is also great. Thanks Discover for being awesome.

I'm a new Discover credit card user, but I'll let you know my experiences so far. The main thing that sets cards apart from each other is the rewards program associated with them. Discover's 5% cash back was good enough for me to sign up. I get gas and go out to eat a lot, so now it is just like getting some extra cash for doing things I already did!
I originally had an issue when signing up, but their customer service was kind and quick. My issue was solved in minutes and I didn't get aggravated at all during the process. It is good to know that if I ever need them again, they'll be there.

I've had this card, but ended up opting to use others which are more convenient. The biggest drawback for me was the fact that Discover isn't welcome everywhere. Their cashback program is fairly generous once you've reached their level (after $3000, they give 1% cashback on any purchase). If you don't reach the spending amount, however, the cashback is a measly 0.25%.
That, coupled with the relatively high APR (compared to other cards), didn't make this card worth it for me after the initial trial period. I could see the benefit of using this card if you use it for revolving utility bills and have auto-payments set-up (so you can earn rewards quicker), but as a card for everyday use, I would recommend others. There are perks for those that shop at specific stores, but for me, a card's convenience ranks higher than the rewards it will give back to me. I'd rather know that I'm getting a flat % back in a reward program than having to check to see if a store is under their specialty list first.
In terms of customer service, I did have an issue with an online merchant, and Discover was good about resolving the matter quickly and without unnecessary headache. Overall, I'd say it was a decent card, but there are others out there that have comparable rewards programs, better APR, and more convenient.

I just got this credit card about 5 months ago. It has been a great card for me. It is my first card. The application process was easy but made me feel like the employees of Discover were working hard to verify that I was the right person. The website is very easy to navigate. I am using this card to build my credit score, learn how credit cards work, and to have a credit card in case of emergency. As far as student credit cards go, this one does the job. The low interest is really nice, I like having this card in my wallet.

The Discover Card was my first experience using a credit card. My parents wanted me to learn how to use a credit card at an early age, and they wanted me to have access to funds in an emergency, so my mother gave me a Discover under her account when I was a teenager. At that age, the card was very easy to use and my mother was able to keep up with my usage with her monthly statement. She was also able to earn rewards, which was maybe only a small consolation prize given how much I spent! I liked that I was able to use the card almost anywhere, though there were maybe a few times it was not accepted--that became more rare over the years. The Discover was a great entry point for me into the world of credit, and I have since learned by using it how to manage my finances without any credit card debt!

I used to have other credit cards like Visa, AMEX, etc. but recently switched over to this Discover More Card with an 18 month promotional balance transfer and am really glad I made the switch! I really enjoy their cash back rewards that allow you to get even more out of using a credit card. It is a nice bonus to know you can get a few free things out of constantly using a card. I did a balance transfer to which will end up saving me money in the long run which is a nice feature too. One of the best things about my new card is that the customer service is excellent and they are willing to help no matter what question you have. I love my new card and will proudly use Discover from here on out.

Discover More Card has really been an awesome card during the time I had it so far. The intro rate is 0% and that makes it awesome for big spending that I need. I can buy the things I want and pay 0% extra and just pay it off eventually over time. Without this card I would not be able to buy many things that I love and wanted to get, but thanks to the fact that I have this card I have bought many items of my desire and out of current reach. All thanks to Discover and this awesome card. I would definitely recommend this credit card to anyone that I know.

I absolutely love my Discover More card. I've had it for almost three years now, and I'm so glad that I decided to go with Discover. I have never had any problems with the card. Every time I have a question I've found that the Discover customer service was so fast, nice, and very helpful! The best part about my Discover Card is the cashback bonus feature. It's so easy to accumulate, and they have a huge number of gift card options to choose from. The only problem I've ever had with Discover in general is that some places do not accept it. It's very rare that this happens, but one large company that doesn't accept it is Subway. It can get kind of annoying, but it's not really a huge issue.
