Elan is the only credit card provider that gave me a ridiculous credit limit of $500. No other institution ever gave me less than 5K credit limit. This credit limit is so useless that after contacting them and trying to increase credit limit and getting a refusal, I simply closed this card after having it for less than a month. I have an impression that someone in Elan gets bonuses for number of opened account, and they seem to open as many accounts as possible without caring about actual usefulness of the given credit limit for the customer. Now I have a useless opened account record in my credit history that will reduce my chance of getting some other credit cards. Elan's negative particularities among credit card providers didn't stop there. They are the only credit card service I dealt with that doesn't clearly mark the institution that withdrew money from your checking account whey you paid your credit card balance. Their withdrawal looked so generic that I started to suspect that it's an unauthorized charge and had to waste my time to investigate this charge. On top of this, you have to wait until you accumulate $25 in cash back before you can redeem it. It's rare to see this kind of limitations today in Credit Card world. And if that wasn't enough, I was only allowed to deposit my cashback to Fidelity accounts and no external accounts. It is literally the most poorly managed and the worst thought-through credit card I dealt with. I think that Fidelity is damaging its credibility by dealing with Elan. I was actually pretty shocked that Fidelity would put its brand of such a pathetic credit card service. Thinking that Fidelity would never deal with such a low quality company, I applied for Fidelity credit card without even researching reviews. I was too optimistic.

Avoid due to terrible customer service from Elan regarding fraud. I had a fraudulently charge 1 day before they put a fraud lock on the card and issued a new one. Disputed charge and one month later they re-added the charge as the merchant just sent my address they easily stole from the site they hacked (no tracking number, receipt, link to the page on there non-existent website). Bare minimum and deficient effort from Elan on this investigation. After a week of calling to get this taken care of there is only one person on the whole earth in this company they claim can resolve it, some fraud analyst. That person called and left a message only once in the whole week when I was on another call, with zero ways to get back in touch directly with them. The supervisor #1110107 in the fraud department was unprofessionally rude and said you were called (voicemail once guess count) and just wait for another call back and nothing he could do. Customer service at this card processor cannot ever help you and puts the customer and the person who can at arms length making it impossible for a connection. Find another card with the same rewards and who ACTUALLY has Zero fraud liability. Fidelity should really investigate the customer service of this co-branded card. Done using the card and considering pulling all my retirement accounts to another Brokerage.

I know I used to work for their customer service trust me we do not care and supervisors are just random agents as well not actual supervisors. If you call back you will just get a new supervisor. Also the supervisor number you provided is not their badge number its just a random number we create

The worst customer service ever. Besides being aggressive, the two customer service agents did not help. My account is frozen. The refuse to help and claim that a supervisor has to call me to solve the problem. I called last Thusday. We are Wednesday today. No phone call received.

I worked there for 3 years none of us cared about your issues. We put it in a pending file and if no one gets to it within 72 hours the call back is then dismissed. The supervisors are not supervisors they are random agents who don't care at all just like I was. No actual manager will take any calls you just get transferred we were trained to act like managers on the phone

Very bad customer service. The have flagged and rejected my charges. Not only that they then block my account even though I have replied to their text authenticating the charge. To add insult to injury, Fidelity blocked my card even after my authentication and did not inform me. I found out when i tried to charge the card at a retailer and had to come empty handed. I have been a loyal customer of Fidelity for more than 20 years with a six figure balance in my 401K accounts with them. Its time to fire Fidelity. They don't deserve my business.

I worked there for 3 years and none of us cared about any customer's issues. Just a bunch of kids that work there out of high school we put you on hold and laugh at the situation. The company is majorly compromised you think your account information is safe but from it. They hire anyone without doing a background check so anyone can steal your information

Could not log on to my account so called customer service. Waited and waited before getting an agent. When I did she was an idiot. Could not hear her; only faintly. Finally understood that I had a fraudulent $38 dollar charge. Rather than refusing it, she cancelled my card and said she was mailing me a new one in a few days. She would not call me back so that I could hear her. I am going to apply for a new card with another company so that I never have to deal with anyone from VISA again. I know I am wasting time as other complainers have already told me that Iam wasting my time.

I have never missed a payment with all my other credit cards, but with this card for a year already missed payment twice, each time missed due day by two days. Why? they missed sending the monthly statement notification through email. The first time I thought maybe it was somehow my fault, and started watching. The second time I am sure there was no email notification. If you miss a payment they charge a hefty fee plus interests, effectively negated the 2% cash back. I will not be using this card anymore. Very disappointed as I have been a Fidelity brokerage customer.

This card will HURT your credit. I paid off the card with a loan to reduce my usage and try to get into a property. Elan financial who issues the card reduced my credit limit bringing up my usage to 80% from 11%. This was the second time they have done this so I closed the account and paid it off immediately. If you want a stable credit score, this is NOT THE CARD FOR YOU.

This is a great card but they lie to you about their zero APR promos and their customer support usually has no idea what they are talking about. There are other 2% back cards, I might consider those instead.

Awful customer service. The service rep was yelling at me for asking how much fees they have charged me over the last year. She was trying to "educate me and make me understand" why I got charged 20% APR over two months even though my account was on auto-pay. Horrible!!!

Though cashback is great, I wouldn't use it as customer care doesn't resolve your issues whether it's with rewards or disputed transactions. The answer is "it's done and nothing can be done". I lost >200$ because customer care mentioned that it's done and nothing can be done even though I reported the case as soon as I could
