A horrible company. I applied for the credit card and was approved for a 300 limit. I waited a few days got an email saying that the card was shipped. I waited five more days then paid the 95 fee. I thought with the card on the way I would be able to use the funds on the card so spending the 95 dollars wouldn't hurt at the moment. My last 95 dollars I should say. I waited everyday for 2weeks and the card never came. I called and asked to cancel it and have my money refunded. I was told that it would be refunded back to my debit card, the one I used to make the 95 dollar payment with , within 2 business days. Waited 3days, no refund. I call back, again I'm told that they would be refunding me my money back, they had 2 business days to issue the refund. 3 days go by, no refund. I call again today and they tell me that they just started the process and would be mailing me a paper check, an out of state paper check. I was livid. After almost an hour on the phone, I was told they would be issuing a refund in 2 business days, back to my debit card. Bottom line, steer clear. All they do is give a line of B's, give you the run around and will not refund your money . They are crooks.

Let me get this straight karen, U applied for a card, (using your name and USPS valid address), u DIDNT receive it in the mail,..... So u cancelled the whole account after paying the 95 dollar fee?? Then u expected a refund from a credit card company within 3 days, and they are thieves? U realise that account u opened is probably on your credit report, better u changed ur address with the postal service if u really wanted it

This company was a huge mistake! My credit is slowly recovering from student loans from when I was very young. I currently have a credit card through my bank and have kept a spotless payment record for over 2 years now. This card has a massive intrest rate, which isnt an issue because I pay my cards in full each month. To start off, they charged me a fee to enroll in the program that had to be paid before even shipping the card ($99 I beleive). When I finally hor the card in the mail, I activated it and it already had another $99 processing fee on my statement. I had the card two months, paid the first statement in full, the second month I tried to use my card for fuel and it declined. Knowing I had paid it in full, I called the company to which I was told I had been flagged for fraud due to some issue with my address and social. They asked me to fax them a copy of my license and a copy of my social card. I sent my I.D. immediately but had to file for a new social card, they explained I could use a written letter from my employer as well. That week I broke my leg and was off work, called my HR coordinator and had her fax the letter with the info they requested. I called several times only to be told they havent received my paperwork just yet and it can take up to 10 days for them to get it and get my account situated. About a week later I get a letter saying my card was canceled because I didnt get the paperwork to thwm in time. Now im out of the $200 investment to use this card. A coworker of mine had the exact same thing happen to him. I do beleive they have a pretty elaborate scam going, I would recommend to anyone building credit, just pay the down payment on a secured card woth half the rate these crooks charge, ultimately you will be paying the same amount to use their "unsecured card". These people are trash!!!

I gave first Premier one star, because it was the first card that I received once I started rebuilding my credit. Honestly, this company really deserves zero stars and a big red flag. But I am begging everyone who reads this to never do business with First Premier. They take advantage of people who are in desperate situations. They have the highest interest rates and that's not enough. They hit you with a monthly fee, just for having an account with them and they charge the maximum annual fee. If you make your payments on time, they will offer you a credit increase, but then they will charge you an additional 25% of the increase, just for accepting it. They even play this trick with a hardship plan if you beg and plead. Once you start paying the amount that is agreed upon on a hardship plan, they will send you a statement that asks you to pay a different amount. Next, they tell you that its your own fault, because you should have ignored the statement and continued to follow the previous agreement and therefore they kick you off of the hardship plan for the duration of your credit with them. People, please do not do business with First Premier. Get a secured account to start with or go with another credit card company. Tell everyone you know that First Premier Bank will take advantage of you and rip you off.

This is the worst credit card my husband or I ever had. We've had it about two years now. Never used it, but have paid so much money between monthly fees and annual fees, etc. When I discovered that interest was being charged on the $12.00 monthly membership fee listed under purchases, I called them. I was told that the $12.00 fee was for "purchasing a service from them, and that was why I was being charged the interest fee". Really!?!

Generally it's an okay credit card for rebuilding your credit so far but some things are kind of ridiculous for example I submitted $250 in payments a week before Christmas so that I had no balance and that I would have extra Christmas money on there what they don't tell you is they decided to put like up to a 20-day hold because I did it through a checking account and they can hold the money for up to 20 days before giving you any available credit so even though they've taken $250 out of my bank account I have 0 available credit and I was paying it before my due datewhen I called customer service they said it would be held for another three to four days at least and that it's because my checking account is not considered a guaranteed form of payment even though they already took it out of my checking account I'm pretty sure when you take something out it's already guaranteed by the fact that you took possession of that money I find that to be a little ridiculous and I'm starting to feel like because they're holding it for two days after my statement date it's so that they can charge me the interest on it so I can't wait to see the bill to see if they charge me interest for paying it two weeks early

I had credit with First Premier Bank Master Card. I started with a $700.00 credit line and asked for a credit increase they approved $100.00 and billed me $25.00 for the increased. I paid of the account and ran into some unexpected expeditures. so I called First Premier Bank Master Card to ask for the account to be reopened. The Representative I spoke to said the account was reopened with the $800.00 credit line. The next day I telephoned to confirmed that the account was opened and to make a purchase. The account was not reopened and I was told it was in the stage of my identity been verified and was given a Fax number for me to fax over credentials. I faxed my drivers license, social security card, my voter registration and my ATF License. It has been 5 days and still the account has not been reopened. I’m canceling the account and will never ever do business with this bank again. They have absurd annual fee, monthly maintenance fee and their interest rate is very high . First Premier Bank are Loan sharks. BEWARE I DO NOT RECOMMEND READ ALL THE REVIEWS OUT OF 5 STARS RATING THEY RATE 1 AND THAT 1 STAR IS REALLY NOT MERITED. MORE LIKE A 0 STAR SHOULD BE THEIR RATING. BEWARE IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH FIRST PREMIER YOU WILL BE SORRY

They flagged me for fraud immediately, and shut my card down saying they have never gotten my paperwork. They have a scam going to steal peoples money under false pretenses aside from their insane interest rates. I'd love to file a lawsuit against them, a friend of mine had the same happen to him. So in just us 3 people they've made $600 and will cancel your card if they "dont receive" your paperwork. Forcing you to repay the $200 to start the account again.

This is just the beginning of a long, frustrating company. They're thieves and from all other reviews, they charge you when you should be rewarded for a credit increase and boom! Pay $25. Contacting the BBB. ESPECIALLY since covid19, they will not take advantage.

0 stars but made me choose 1 star and that’s being generous.. Paid balance in full and cancelled account. Received another bill. I don’t care how bad your credit is. Do NOT get this card. 36% interest rate!! Plus a monthly fee PLUS a yearly fee. NOT worth keeping and the monthly payments are stupid high. Customer service is atrocious too. Do not recommend.

This card and company is all about taking your money. I got this card to help build up my credit. I didnt realized this card had a monthly fee. Also a high yearly fee of $79. I asked them to close the account like a month or two after. Since then im akway getting some extra fees or a late fee. Speaking of late fees there isnt a grace period and i definitely dont like. I would be 1 day late and they tack on a late fee immediately. This is real ridiculous. They are nothing more than loan sharks.

The 0 annual fee cards may be for people with higher credit, therefore higher income. U r right, u need a luxury credit card with at least 120k CL, but CAREFUL the annual fee may be a bit high, 500 dollars. Ask about getting a prepaid debit card. Maybe no fees
