I have $500.00 credit limit I charge $213.00 and the following week they droped my credit limit to $100.00 leaving my account in bad shape to the credit monitoring , just sucks.

They just lowered my credit line for no reason at all. I have an over 800 credit rating and haven't missed a single payment on any card I have yet they still lower it. I think it's because the company is in trouble

I am extremely dissatisfied with JCPenney Company. The company lowered my credit available down to $500.00 earlier this year (2020), without any reason given. Also I recently made a return to the store which does not show as a credit on my account. I have the receipt, but was unable to solve this discrepancy by phone and will have to go into the store to straighten out. The items I returned I had ordered through
the mail and part of that order was of such poor quality, unbelievable. Quality and service has gone down. I have not cancelled the JCPenney credit card due to always striving to improve my credit score. They live to toy with your credit limit. They decreased my card limit to 1/9 of my previous limit twice this year. This is by far my worst credit card experience with over a dozen banks. Do not get this card and i hope jc penny goes under.

SYNCB/JCP is not a good credit card to have. They are very totalitarian. They closed my credit line account because I made the mistake to submit a payment through an old bank account that got declined. But, as soon as I received the notification that the payment had been declined, I corrected it. A few days later they sent another notification saying that they were closing my account. I had a credit line of $3,500

They have the worst customer service ever. JCP canceled my order and I fought with JCP for over five months. I just now gave up because they paid off my account with auto pay. The amount we are talking about was under $21. They added interest to that amount when I was in the dispute stage. I will never purchase anything no matter what from JCP. What a joke, they claim they couldn't find the
amount I was disputing even after giving it to them time and time again. They do provide my statements. Like others I would give them a minus 100 if I could. No wonder they are going out of business. I would get messages saying thank you for your patience, blah, blah, and they never did anything. I spoke with a supervisor and for under $21 they were going to research it. Again, after five months of dealing with them. They won, it was such a waste of my time for something they canceled. Beware when purchasing items. Let's face it Amazon will monopolize all our shopping, and they deserve too with places like JCP's credit card synchrony bank. Their interest is outrageous, 25.99% and that's with excellent credit. Thankfully they only got $2.51. because I've always paid my balance off. I only had a JCP card for the discounts, definitely don't need Synchrony. A customer with JCP since 1970 and with Synchrony Bank for 20 yrs. and that's how they treat people.
The card has been shredded! That was the last of Store Credit Cards for this person! Beware and shop with AMAZON! At least Amazon listens to their customers and has Chase for their bank!… show more

I had scheduled auto pay for my JC Penney Credit Card. Well after two months I had enough extra cash to completely pay off my balance. They still charged me auto payments for 3 months after that! $145 was taken from me after I had already paid off my balance. I will never shop at JC Penney ever again.

Had the card since 12/2019. Had a 1900 credit limit. Never got higher than 500 balance, always paid more than the minimum and kept a low balance. They without warning lowered my limit to just over my current balance. I immediately closed the account and paid it off right after hanging up the phone. I will mever shop jc penney or use synchrony bank again.

They reduced my credit line to $110 without notifying me. I have a very high credit score and am very unhappy with them. It was embarrassing when my credit was denied at the store because my purchase was slightly higher. Would give them a zero rating if I could. I am cancelling and going elsewhere.

They will close your account without any notification even if you have a zero balance and have always paid your account on time! I have never been late and my account was closed for no reason at all. I have three other credit cards and 2 have zero balances and one has about $300 on it so there was no reason to close this account that was in good standing and always has been.

I had them for awhile and i had a bad experience in which i had them 5 years and i couldn’t not make one payment and they did not care or extend even though i have seniority and been in good standard last 4 years and I immediately went to collection and which there was new term policies made on my account prior before I went collection. I just paid it off for the first time and they told me it was just reviewed and my credit wasn't good enough but it was the best it's been in 5yrs , I just got approved for a 320,000 dollar mortgage days ago. The absolute worst card you can have! Beware! Not only high finance rates, but customer service is awful. I had card for 20 years. Perfect payment history. IF you pay card off completely, as i did. JCPenney decreased my credit limit because I was inactive. This hurt my credit score.
I call to cancel because I read other reviews stating they will/can close my account if I do not make a purchase.
When I call, the customer service rep talked down to me and got very rude. "It's going to hurt your credit more to close this account." I let her know I understand that, but I'd rather take the hit now on

I give this card a 1 star. There is little if any customer service. If you return product, they do not take it off your credit card and you have to spend hours on the phone trying to get if off. Their Customer support puts you on hold and never comes back on, and eventually you get dropped. This is a regular occurance. Customer support will not follow up with email to show what they

Customer service operators are really nasty and incompetent. They are trying to tell me I have two cards opened and they closed one. I lost the card a couple of years ago and I reported it to them and they sent me a new one. I recently received a letter from them telling me that that card has been cancelled. I called them and the automatic system took more than 8 minutes to finally let
me speak to a human. The human that helped me was not much better than the automatic system. I could not quite understand her because of a language barrier. She finally put her supervisor on, who was of no help with this issue. She insisted that I opened up two accounts and they are cancelling one because it is inactive, because of no use. I clearly explained to her that the number in question was in fact the card that was reported as lost 2 years or more ago and that the card I have now replaced that one. I couldn't get her to understand what their error was. A lost cause, so I am searching to see how I can report how unprofessional they were and to get this resolved. I've been a cardholder for over 3 years. They upgraded my account to a jcp MasterCard with a 5000 credit limit in September. I've had the same bank information but suddenly their Autopay system stopped working when I got upgraded and they charged late fees. I ended up having to manually pay each month from my bank account. After a few rejected payments, they closed my account without notice. I finally received a letter in
the mail stating my account has been closed due to late payments. I called to try to get them to reopen it but they would not. Next I spoke with the MOD who said sorry there is nothing can do for you I am the highest person you can talk to and I am going to know disconnect the call. I have always made my payments on time and gone above and beyond monthly payment amounts and keeping account in good status. As with my credit I feel they should not base our credit history with outside sources when I been clearly a good, faithful and loyal member to jcp and to now treat me this way am no longer happy with the company. I am so upset with what JCPENNEY credit card services did to me that feel like I no longer want to for the rest of my life shop at jcp. I shopped at all the jcpenney outlets here in San Antonio TX so much that everyone new me and was always happy to see me and greet me.
