You can check if your Macy's credit card is still active by calling 877-493-9207. Well, this one doesn't have an annual fee, so unless you left a balance on it, there are two ways to tell.
Either you try using it (bad idea), or you just call the issuer....

You don't have to activate your Macy's Store Card. When you receive the card, it's already activated, so you can use it for purchases right away.
If you got approved for the Macy's Credit Card instead, then you can activate the card online or over the phone at (888) 257-6757.

this is a ridiculous card with their interest rate and now with the interest rate at 24.50 people this is 24.50 dollars to evrey hundred what is wrong with these guys are they on crack. My wife has a card so i have her closing the account and pay it off. macys next time i shop at your store i am paying with my own personal creit card from Capitol One which i only pay 1.36% on it. throw away the card it aint worth it. Macy's you want my buisness learn how to lower your interest rate. you get good discounts but you pay triple back with the credit card. if i would of none what my wife was getting into i would of had her not apply for this credit card.

This is the worst experience with customer service I have ever had. They will never receive any business from me again. They don't take the payments I have set up autopay and I have paid in store and they still have no record.

Macy's Store Card gets 1 star as a credit card, but 5 stars as a discounting device for Macys shoppers. Basically, don't use it anywhere but macys.
I used to work at macs, and I can tell you that this card will give you pretty big discounts. Most Store cards give you 2-5% cash back on in store purchases, but Macys will give you 10-30% off sticker price if you use their card.
Outside of Macys, I wouldn't recommend using it. Also, make sure you pay off your balance in full! If you aren;t going to be able to do so, this card isn't for you, since the interest rate is so high.

I love the Macy's store credit card! It gives me access to great coupons and discounts. I give this credit card a five star rating as long as you pay your bill in full right away to avoid the high interest rates. If you are someone who likes to carry a balance, this is not the card for you. If you are someone who pays bills right away and shops at Macy's anyway, getting this card will save you money!

I received a Macy's gift card in the mail as a gift, and I have been loving it so far. You do have to look out for the interest charges, they can add up and sneak up on you, but other than that the card is very reasonable. I get discounts by just using the card at the store. Macy's customer service is always very helpful if you have any issues as well. All in all I would recommend this card so long as you are aware of the interest.

Beware of the predatory lending practices of Macy's! Last winter I paid all bills before a protracted 2+ month vacation. If Macy's charges you interest, it does not appear on your current bill. This will make you late and cause late charges and interest on the next bill. I thought I was current on Nov 20, but by early December I was receiving two phone calls daily about my overdue bill. It turns out that after I paid my bill and left town, a $6 interest charge appeared and then set in motion late charges, interest, penalties, etc, such that when I returned home Feb 1, I owed $58 and I hadn't even bought anything! So I paid the bastards just to stop the daily harassment. A week or so later I received a new Macy's bill for $2 interest.
I hate the predatory credit practices of this fucking company and I vow not only to spend another dollar there but to discourage anyone I can from shopping there.

I have always had a great experience with my Macy's card. Not only do find that I receive great discounts sent in the mail and also provided by just using the card, but the payment process has been quite easy to set up for automatic payments to keep my balance paid off or under control. I would definitely recommend this card over so many others and can honestly say it has made me an even bigger fan of Macy's.

I have always had a Visa card and was wary when my wife wanted to get a Macy’s store card. It turns out that the benefits and customer service is the same as my other card. In addition to this, you get great discounts and coupons!

Macy's is very engaged with their customer base and I get offers for rewards and coupons all the time. It's usually based on things that I actually like, which is not many things. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to shop at Macy's.

I didn't think I'd get approved, but I did! The Macy's card has been a great asset for me. Anytime there's a sale, I know my Macy's card will get me the biggest discounts. The fees are upfront, and I have nothing bad to say. Thanks Macy's, I'll be seeing you soon!
