Absolutely would not recommend this ghetto company. They close your account when they want. The cards take forever yo come. Your deposits sometimes dont post on time. Customer service is the absolute worse they have attitude problems. The help feature never responds if you email them. And they always seem to have issues allowing you to see your account history. I have never in my life dealt with such an unprofessional company as this. Im
surprises they're still around.… show more

This is the worse Pre-Paid debit card I have ever dealt with. After being advised a card was being sent, I registered for Direct Deposit. One of my employers sent a direct deposit for $175.00. After one week, I called the listed customer support number which is routed to the Philippines and she said she couldn’t explain what the problem was of returning my funds. I searched for a customer support number in the United
States but found none. The individual on the other end informed me that a “Mango” technical error had occurred and a replacement card would be mailed. This was 3 weeks ago and not a communication what so ever from Mango. I have submitted 4 letters of complaint to retrieve my money and have not received one response. This Company has been the pits for me, and I would not recommend them to my enemies… show more

I purchased an item with my Mango Money card and returned the item. The vendor refunded my money to my Mango qccount almost a month ago and yet they Mango Money will not return it to my account. Multiple customer service reps have agreed that I should have it in my account and have "escalated" my issue on multiple occasions. This has gone on for two weeks and everytime I was told it would be
resolved in 24-48 hours. I sent an email to the email address that I was given by a support rep during a call during the day. They would still not "transfer me to a surpervisor." Soon I will need to report this to the authorities as theft. They refuse to refund the money even after admitting that they have received it.… show more

Transferred $600 from spending account to savings account. The money completely disappeared!!!! Unbelievable. Have been trying to get a hold of support, NO LUCK. They don\'t respond to their online service requests and the customer service line just says "they are currently busy, try calling back". This card SEEMS TO BE A SCAM. BEWARE OF THE "HIGH SAVINGS INTEREST BAIT" seems once you deposit to the savings all your money vanishes.

DON'T USE THIS CARD! I was supposed to have gotten my check direct deposited this past Thursday. They stopped the direct deposit without permission or notification to me. Said a letter was mailed but it wasn't. They were very rude and not helpful. My check had to be returned to my employer and hopefully posted tomorrow. Rent and car payment due and I had no money because of this unprofessional company. You have been warned.

I never leave reviews but I had to for this company because something about Mango isn't right and needs to be investigated! They closed my account with no notification. When I called for help the staff were very rude. After trusting them with my name, SS, address, recent transactions they said they could not assist or give a reason and the account is closed. Thank god I withdrew my money and didnt make another deposit before
this happened. If anybody is thinking of purchasing a card from Mango PLEASE look elsewhere. Nobody should have to go through this experience.… show more

I used to love my mango card until they switched from master card to visa. For some reason now all I have is problems with them, they mess up and won't deposit my money on time and it's taken me over a week one time to get my money and the only reason I got it that time was because my boyfriend made them stay on the phone for hours until it was on there.
When they say they'll call you back they never do. I have had them for years and they were always great and customer service at master card helped if I ever had a question, now visa doesn't do anything to help. They lied to me before telling me they sent my money western union and I'd get an email with the number to pick up my money and after that hung up on me and when I checked my email there was no message from them so I kept calling and they would pick up and hang up on me, I was pregnant and extremely high risk and couldn't deal with them so I had to have my boyfriend do it because they were making my blood pressure too high. They didn't care that I had bills to pay and kids to feed. I DO NOT recommend them!!… show more

I never write reviews but after six weeks of the worst service, lost funds and failure to keep their commitments I must offer a sincere warning to all current and future consumers. This card is nice for someone who may be unable to get a checking account or doe snot have easy access to a bank account, but otherwise, it is absolutely awful. If you ever have to deal with customer service, just don't bother. The mastercard program with Mango Money was easy to use and easy to understand. The switch to the Visa program was a disaster. The new Visa website has very limited functionality compared to the MC, and it looks like the site was designed by a child. This does not inspire confidence in your customers. More importantly, either they changed the rules for interest calculation, or have simply gotten their accounting wrong. With the new awful
website it is more difficult to verify the calculations. Either way, my interest payments on the Visa program were substantially less than with MC, and my latest interest was $0, with the error message "Deposit to Savings - DECLINED". I have cancelled my account after seeing that. They say it will take 4-6 weeks to get my money back.… show more

This card is absolutely horrible. If you ever have to call customer service, expect to be on hold for at least a half hour. Then when you FINALLY get to talk to someone, they will more than likely lie through their teeth to you about things and blame all of the issues on MC, not themselves. Since they took my money off of my Mango MC before I even got my new Visa card (which
is stupid in itself) and I had NO access to my funds, I had late fees on my bills. They took 3 WEEKS to get me my new card; I'm sure it would've been even longer if I didn't call and complain about not having my card or any of MY money so they expedited my card (which they said was going to be overnight and it took 3 days). They told me I can dispute my late fees and get them returned, but it could take 90 days. I don't think I'll have a Mango card 90 days from now because I'm switching to another card. Their website is absolutely horrible as well. Their mobile app freezes a lot and won't work sometimes. They should've just stuck with MC.… show more

I've always loved this card. I have direct deposit so my fee's are waved. I'm sort of careless when it comes to my finances so not having to worry about overdraft fee's and whatnot was great. Unfortunately Mango recently switched from MasterCard to Visa. This wouldn't be a problem for me. I don't care what kind of card it is as long as it works the same. However, they emailed me on the 25th of
August telling me that that would be switching to visa and to order a visa card because no more direct deposits would be made on MasterCards from them. So I ordered the Visa right after reading the email because I knew I had a paycheck being deposited on the 4th of September. When the 4th rolled around I got a text saying my check was deposited......on the visa.....which I had not received in the mail yet. I had bills to pay so I called costumer service in hopes that they would be able to transfer my money onto my MasterCard since I had that one already in hand. The costumer service representative said there was nothing they could do. They said they would have to send my problem to someone else who would return my call between 24-48 hours...SERIOUSLY?! I HAVE BILLS TO PAY NOW! Anyway! So the next day to my happy surprise my Visa was in the mail. I went to activate it online and got an error telling me to call. I called them and they said they couldn't activate it because it was popping up with an error, they couldn't do anything about it and would transfer it to someone else who would return my call within 24-48 hours. "but you can still access your account and check your balance" Thanks! so at least I can admire my paycheck! So I have an entire paycheck just sitting in an account that I have no way of using. I loved this card, but this is so messed up. Whenever they allow me to actually access my money I will be withdrawing it all and closing the account. It's a great card until you have a problem, and then it's a HUGE problem. (by the way, I tried to log onto my account to admire my paycheck and I couldn't log in without having an activated card, go figure.)… show more

The Mango Prepaid card brings ease, convenience, and low risk to the market of prepaid cards. Unlike some of the other cards, such as mastercard’s accountnow, they protect you from fraudulent charges. The Mango Prepaid card seems like a good idea in theory. I like that you can open a savings account, make direct deposits and transfer money with a text message. I currently use an amazon rewards card and a PNC bank debit card and neither one of them have the ability to move money with a text message. I think that would be very convenient. However, the fees of the Mango card are majorly flawed.
A $3 per month maintenance fee is a lot. I would be much more apt to pay a small yearly fee if I'm going to pay anything. I also think the ATM transaction fees are a lot. I currently receive ATM fees back up to $10 monthly on my PNC bank debit card. This would be a better solution to the transaction fees.… show more

The Mango Prepaid Card is a good prepaid card. There are low ATM fees only two dollars. It also has a low monthly fee, and with direct deposit you can open a savings account with six percent interest. You get free direct deposit with just two small deposits in ninety days. The reload options are very conveniet you can reload it most places that do money transfers.

I love this account for its savings. I signed up for the prepaid card as a way to access my money in between accounts when I moved from Hawaii last year and I discovered that the attached savings account offers 6% interest! For a starving artist/recent college graduate that's huge. I kept my account open even after I got a new bank and it's where I keep the bulk of my savings. I'll be sad
once I hit the 5,000 dollar limit. But the $200 a year in interest is worth the $3/month charge any day. The only problem I've ever had with Mango is that it seems to consistently have trouble syncing with my Mint.com account. But as long as I can check it myself online, that's really not much to complain about. LOVE this account.… show more

The Mango Prepaid Card sounds like just a regular credit card. However, I really will never understand why people are willing to pay a monthly fee to use the card when there are tons of other ones that require no monthly fee. 6% is an okay rate, I suppose, but it could be better.

I recently reviewed the Mango credit card. I like that there is no activation fee and that you can receive text and email reports for the activity of the card. I like that the minimum direct deposit is only $50 to activate the card. The $2.00 ATM fee is mildly reasonable, but would be more competitive if it were free. The fraud insurance is a good thing.

I like a few of the features of this card, such as the fraud protection and the direct deposit feature, but I'm not terribly won over by the ATM fee or the monthly fee associated with this card. I like that they give you an option to open a savings account and 6% is a decent rate in today's economy. Overall I think this card is about average, but the features offered do make it
a more attractive choice in the end. I think I may apply for this card and see if I like it after a few months.… show more

I think this is a decent card, but it does not replace a checking account by any means. There is a monthly charge (granted it is $3) that banks simply do not have. There is also a $2 ATM fee which can add up very quickly if you need to pull cash out multiple times a month. It is insured though up to $250,000 which is great and there is a free service to reload
money onto it. However, what if you lose the card? Does Mango insure your money against that as well? Again, a checking account is definitely preferable but this will do in a pinch.… show more

The mango prepaid card is a pretty good card. There is no activation fee. I don't like the fact that there is a 3.00 monthly fee and a 2.00 atm transaction fee. It does have it to where there is no cost for direct deposit. That is a good thing as well. I like The Mango prepaid card because it offers free direct deposit after depositing $50 dollars in the account and also because they give you 6.00% APY. Also your money is insured by FDCI for up to 250,000. Another good thing about this prepaid card is that it functions as a little bank without paying more service fees.
