It's great when you're rebuilding your credit, but once you've done that, it's terrible. You'll end up paying a monthly fee for years just so you don't have to close it and the credit limits are downright paltry, even when you have excellent credit. I haven't made a purchase on this card in half a decade!

Unable to get a representative on the phone. I filed for a credit card dispute. The response letter came Oct 13rd 2022 In the letter they asked me to reply by Oct 23rd however I received the dispute response in the mail on Oct 24th?! I feel like they intentionally lost my dispute so I would have to continue to pay high interest..

Extremely high interest rate, annual fee, no credit line increase, in spite of me being on time throughout my history with them, and there is an annual fee. There is no incentive for me to use this card on a regular basis. So whatever I charge on there, I pay off at the end of the month. Great customer service though.

I applied for this card when I also had a Mission Lane card with $300, a Citi Bank Secured with $200 and a Credit One Amex $300 and the Merrick Bank came to me with $800 - it is leaps and bounds better than any of the others. I love the Citi card software but there are no Credit Increases and I've had all of these cards since Feb, March of this year. I'm now at 650 and I really want another Capital One. I had the Secured Platinum and the Journey before and they both increased my Credit a lot. I love Merrick Bank and would recommend anyone to apply for it if you're in the mid 600's. Make sure you're at around 640 before applying!
