I applied for this card and got approved, so I made my first purchase and after a week of waiting for my first order I tried to track it to find out that it was canceled..those people sent you a card and tell you that you’re approved then they cancel your order because they want you to mail copies of your SSN and ID AFTER RECEIVING YOUR CARD!!!!! What a logic!!!!! Who would do that? Honestly? It’s okay to not approve people or decline the purchase, but to give them a card then after they use it you tell them that they’re not approved yet and they need to mail more things! I won’t send a copy of my SSN to anyone after giving it online and getting approved. That’s so misleading! I ended up closing my account! They should’ve told you before they approve your account that they will need you to send those copies so you won’t have to close the account and affect your credit score. I have more than 5 cards! Never had this kind of bureaucracy before. You don’t give people false impressions like this and waste their time. My size was sold out when I’ve tried to make another order and pay the full amount! Also messing with people’s credit score is so unacceptable. You do it all in reverse! The card approval should be after I meet your acquirements not before. You don’t give people an account and a cart number then ask for more things. If you needed more verification you should've asked and let people know from the beginning!! It’s not just confusing but It doesn’t make any sense. Thankfully I found my size in a different store. I will make sure not to spend my $$ in this store again. I really didn’t need their card. I was just trying it and I ended up wasting a whole evening trying to understand whether if I have a card with them or not. I didn’t even get an empty sorry although the person who answered me admitted it that their process doesn’t make any sense! He said it should be in the right order in a perfect world! Guess what! Other stores made it perfect. He said those stores are not Nordstrom. True. they’re not. They are better than Nordstrom and have more logical intelligence, ethics, transparency, and communication. Don’t apply if you’re an honest person who wants to live in a perfect world when people don’t take their word back, give false hopes and play with people credit score like it’s not an important thing. Nordstrom card really deserves the bad reputation I’ve heard of it from everybody I asked about before applying. I should’ve listened. DON’T APPLY

Same thing happened to me with Nordstrom and this card 3 weeks ago. Most stressful shopping experience I've ever had, as they held me up at the cashier (I'm disabled with a service dog) to take down information over their phone that they would not email nor mail me, asking me to send them utility bills and proof of social security number. I have an 830 credit rating. The amount of work needed to pay my initial Nordstrom purchaseon this card before they put a hold on it required me to call them several times since the card would not activate nor let me pay online when I finally received it this past week.

These people are not honest. I was shopping one day last month at racks when one of the ladies in green persuaded me to apply for a card and get a $40 note within 2-3 business weeks or when my card arrives. The card came in the mail with no $40 note in it. When I stopped by to inquire about it, it became another rope to pull which was never mentioned when i was applying for the card. I left soo disappointed and with no such $40 note.

I got the card in March and I received my $40 note, not on paper, not in mail, they discontinue this practice. You need to log onto your card account. Nordstrom.com

For the people who regularly shop at Nordstrom, this credit card is extremely useful. Because the price point at Nordstrom seems to be higher than other stores, the rewards points will build up extremely fast. You receive 2 points for every dollar spent and for every 2000 points earned, you receive a $20 gift card for Nordstrom. You also get the benefit of earning 1 point for every dollar spent that is spent OUTSIDE of Nordstrom. Therefore, you can receive even more benefits for gift card credit points. Overall, this store card is most useful if you shop at Nordstrom a lot. If you don't, it would be better to look elsewhere.

The Nordstrom credit card seems to be a decent card for people who regularly shop at Nordstrom. The best perk of having this card is the point system, that eventually gets the card holder a $20 gift card after they have earned 2000 points (or spent roughly $1000 to $2000). This card is also a VISA card, which means that it can be used wherever VISA is accepted. This card seems to have the same terms as another card I have, the GAP card. The idea about having the points is the same, although GAP gives points for every $50 you spend. The negative aspects about both the Nodstrom card and the GAP card are that if you have bad credit or if you make a late payment, you will have a very high interest rate. Overall, I would only recommend getting the Nodstrom card if you shop there regularly. Otherwise, it serves no purpose for you.

Nordstrom Credit Card is nothing really special but its your average store brand credit card. It gives you double points when you shop at Nordstrom, one point per dollar when you shop at other stores. Every 2000 points accumulated gets you a pretty standard gift card bonus. Apparently theres promotions or gifts they send you throughout the year which seem to make the card pretty worth your while if you shop constantly at Nordstrom. They are an expensive store so points will accumulate quickly anyway. APR is decent and might be better than average cards, so its definitely worth it to pick up if you shop frequently with Nordstrom or Nordstrom rack.

Like most store cards, the Nordstrom Credit Card is quite limited, this one in seemingly random ways. It does offer those with great credit the opportunity to have a good rate, so it is somewhat usable as a reward card/regular credit card. However, balance transfers aren't allowed and there are no introductory interest rates. Also, the Nordstrom Credit Card has a pretty weak reward plan, but unlike something like the Valero Card, it's at least useful for something. This card is ok if you like Nordstrom and shop there frequently. Otherwise, I'd go for a more bare-bones credit card with a good rate and no fees, like Slate by Chase.

The Nordstrom Credit Card seems to be no different than many other credit cards in the market. While I do like the $35 maximum late fee, the rewards system leaves a lot to be desired, especially since the only reward is a Nordstrom Note. Earning the points seems rather straightforward (rather than having to remember which percent goes with which purchase) but at a 1-1 dollar/reward dollar ratio, it is low compared to other cards. Personally, I would look for another credit card that offers more in terms of rewards, and is more flexible in the rewards given. Not a bad card, just not for me.
