I'm a college student and this card is a great way to start building small credit on a very limited budget, although it is a basic card with no rewards its still a nice card to have. I use mine for purchases such as gas and food. You do not have to have a bank account with PNC, I just went in place my security deposit and a week or two later I received my card

This is a relatively standard credit card with a minimal deposit requirements and fair reimbursement rates. If you're someone with poor credit, PNC will not dissapprove you so that's a huge bonus to those that have a limited credit history. Furthermore, you must have a bank account at PNC before you are able to use this card, and all funds associated with this card must be linked back to your bank account. Overall, I feel as if the services and rates provided with this card is reasonable and I'd recommend this card for anyone who is beginning their ventures with credit cards.
