Unless you shop at Radio Shack frequently, I would think having this store credit card would be unnecessary, using any other credit card would do for making a random purchase at this store. I saw it offer free shipping and 15% off of batteries, those are very good things to offer from Radio Shack. The APR seems a little bit high, higher than my rate on my Discover card by almost 6%. It doesn't seem like a card with the energy to apply for so that it would collect dust in a wallet when there are much better cards out there to use when shopping Radio Shack.

The Radio Shack Credit Card would be good for someone who would actually shop at radio shack, but only if they had an excessive need for batteries or were to be ordering things off of radioshack.com in excess of $25 for the free shipping. It does not give any rewards (points for dollars spent to use towards gift cards or bill credits) so it is essentially a credit line to the store. You'd be better off using a card with rewards for purchases and finding a promo code for free shipping.

Radioshack has a credit card? I prefer to go to Best Buy or shop online because they seem to have a larger selection. But the card looks ok...not interest for 65 months is good, but a year is better. There doesn't seem to be much for rewards, or theft protection, which is a big negative for me. I mean, why use a credit card if there is no incentive? It also says it may not be available to new applicants...that makes it pretty difficult.

The Radio Shack Credit Card, although having 0% interest rate for the first 6 months, has a very high interest rate after that at 28.99 %. This high interest rate similar to many other "store" credit cards, but the difference for let's say the Gap credit card is that it has rewards. The Radio Shack Credit Card has no rewards making it virtually useless to have. The only reason someone would get this is if they make a large purchase at Radio Shack and feel like they could pay it off in 6 months, giving them some more time to pay it off as opposed to having to pay it all once.

Firstly, with the Radio Shack Store Card you have to be aware that Radio Shack has been bought out by Sprint and is having it's stores either closed down or turned into Sprint stores. So as a store card what utility it can have is limited in time and use. Even without that though, this card isn't the best. Interest is high and there's only a few benefits. No points, but you do get a discount on store-stocked batteries and free shipping on orders over 25.
Given Radioshacks financial status, I would recommend staying away from this one and getting something like the Discover Student Card or any other bog standard card which will be around for the foreseeable future.

The Radio Shack Store Card doesn't have a lot of bells or whistles. It doesn't offer any rewards points but does have some decent bonuses if you're a regular Radio Shack customer. If so you can get free shipping on Radioshack orders over 25, 15% off on store-stocked batteries, and a o% apr for the first 6 months. These bonuses are pretty decent but it's contingent on you shopping at Radio Shack regularly.
Also bear in mind the financial state Radio Shack is in and perhaps a card with them might not be the best option. Still, if you're a regular shopper with them and their online store, this card is definitely the right one for you. Otherwise you would do best to look around at other alternatives which offer broader rewards or benefits such as the Capital One Rewards Card.

I have been a card holder with Radio Shack Store Card for awhile now. I wasn't too sure about it at first because I read so many negative reviews but I have to say, I am pleased. The best part about this card is I do alot of shopping in store and online. This was the ideal card for me. I run a small business and we are always in need of electronics. If you're looking for one of the best store cards, I would recommend this one.

I am a Radio Shack credit card holder, and I have been very dissatisfied with my experience. My main reason for getting the credit card was because you were supposed to get a discount on any battery purchase made using the card. I purchase hearing aid batteries frequently and have found that almost NONE of the store associates know about the discount program, and they end up charging me full price for the batteries. I have also had instances where I have made card payments on time, but Radio Shack still assesses a late fee. Customer service is much harder to reach than with other cards I've had. And now that Radio Shack has declared bankruptcy, I'm not sure what will happen to my account.

The terms and conditions of this offer are very straight-forward and the fees are clear. I enjoy that there is not an annual fee. The grace period of 25 days is nice for people that get into a financial slump and could possible not make their payments on time. A couple of the things I dislike are that there are no rewards associated with this card for purchases like 1% cash back or 5% off. I compare this to Target that offers 5% off purchases when you use their card. On that same token, I would rather utilize my own credit card not tied to any store and earn rewards back. Personally, I do not think that this card would benefit me in any way as it does not offer any rewards and the APR is quite high at 28.99% in my opinion.

It seems like a good offer. I like the 25 day grace period and a max late fee of $35, as well as the zero percent rate up to six months you get with the Radio Shack store card. I also like the five percent back and $25 dollar gift card with a purchase of $150, compared to the Kroger 1-2-3 rewards card, where you have to spend up to $1,000 to get $5 in groceries. The only downside is the normal rate. The Kroger rate is a max of 23.99% where this card's normal rate is 28.99%.
