I have been looking at getting the First Progress Secured Rewards MC for the past few months, on and off, but after seeing this information I think I am leaning more towards getting it. It looks like the approval credit rating for this and a lot of other cards has to be like astronomical to qualify, which is a little frustrating if you've got good credit but not perfect credit. This card has no annual fee as opposed to the First Progress card's $39 annual fee BUT it all pales in comparison when it gets to the interest rates! This card charges SO MUCH interest! That's unbelievable. The First Progress card literally is half as much, plus you have a month grace period. It seems like if you're someone who buys a lot of gadgets and electronics, this card might be good in the way of saving money on purchases and money back, but beyond that I do not see why this card would be appealing considering its strict application limits, incredibly high interest, and lack of ability to transfer your balance. I loved the camera I got from Radio Shack, but I'll go elsewhere for a credit card.

I wish instead of getting 5% back with the Radio Shack Store Card, they would just give us the 5% off immediately. When I use my target credit card it immediately takes 5% off my purchase right there, with no waiting fee. Aside from that I think this card is great!

The Radio Shack Store Card is a good card by my standards. I go to Radio Shack often for most of my electronic needs as I found the staff friendly and helpful and the products of good quality. As a result, this card was an easy decision for me. The deferred interest if you spend $150 for 6 months or $300 for 12 months was easily surpassed by me and I love having no interest. The discounts, especially on the batteries, are great too. Would highly recommend.

The Radio Shack Store Card is a great card to have. I have had other store cards before like this one but the experience was very different. I had the best buy card before and they made you feel like just another customer. Using my Radio Shack store card is great, they are very personable, and I used the deferred interest payments around Christmas last year. It was nice to have a "same as cash" deal from a retail store during the Christmas rush!

If you shop a lot at Radio Shack this is the card for you. Please remember to get the maximum rewards out of this card it is best to pay off the balance before the interest fee kicks in. The twelve month no interest with a minimum of a $300 purchase is a great deal for the large purchases. This compares pretty favorable to the current best buy card that I am using. The no interest is much more favorable on this card than what I currently have.

This is a store credit card that people with poor credit will not qualify for. Radio Shacks are almost non existent in some cities so obviously, don't apply for one unless there's one in your area. You receive 10% off all purchases which adds up if you do a lot of big purchases at this store. There's 0% interest for 6-12 months with minimum purchase requirement. If you buy batteries, the do give you 15% off, but again, this is a store card, so the benefit of having this card stops once you leave a Radio Shack store. There is no reward point or cash back system. I would not apply for this card unless I purchased large amounts of electronics from this store to take advantage of the 10% off.

There are several things that I like about the Radio Shack credit card. First, it seems to have a lot of discounts for customers who shop frequently at Radio Shack, especially if you need a lot of batteries (15% off). If you are a regular at Radio Shack, this is the card for you. I also like that it has no yearly fee and no interest for the first 6 months. With that said, there aren't really many benefits if you are not a regular shopper there. Cons include no balance transfers and no cash back rewards at any other institution than Radio Shack. I have an American Express card that offers much more cash back in my day-to-day life (6% on groceries, 3% gas), although it does have an annual fee attached to it.

I like that there is a 25 day grace period and that there is a maximum late fee. This to me shows that Radioshack is not out to get my money, but to help sell their product and satisfy loyal customers. The only negative that I could think of is the interest rate. On my discover card the interest is not nearly that high. I think that they are a little unrealistic, but then again there is a 6 or 12 month same as cash option.

I feel as though the Radio Shack Store Card is a great feature that can definitely assist loyal customers in saving money. I would be more enticed to shop at the store more often based on the rewards involved. Additionally, I have gotten my last 3 cell-phones from radio shack and each time it was cheaper than getting the phone through Sprint directly.
