Alternative Credit Card Option
If you're looking for a similar credit card, you should consider the Office Depot Credit Card, instead. This card also requires at least fair credit for approval (a credit score of 640+). Plus, you can earn 2% back in rewards on all eligible purchases made at Office Depot.
You should also note that while your credit score is an important factor, there are plenty of other things that will impact your chances of being approved for the Office Depot Credit Card, too. Some other key criteria include your income, existing debt load, and number of open accounts, among other things. Altogether, these factors comprise your overall creditworthiness and dictate your chances of approval.
Most of the time you won't need your ID to use your Staples credit card in store, but there can be times where you may be asked for it depending on the situation.

I have used this card since Staples for almost 4 years now. It is a great card to have. It was very easy to get approved online. I filled out the card application online, was approved, and they mailed the card to me within a week. I use the card often for work and house supplies. Setting up an online account is very easy and quick. Customer support is handy 24/7. No annual fees and decent APR makes this card a must have for anyone who needs a lot of office supplies. Staples awards it's also a nice plus for frequent buyers. I highly recommend this card.

I would recommend the Staples Store Card to any business owner that can pay off the balance every month. The 5% cash back is great as well as the $0 annual fee. Plus there is no limit on the rewards that you can earn and the rewards never expire. But there are some downsides about this credit card to be aware of. First, the annual percentage rate is astronomical at almost 30%! Second, there is no incentive to get you to sign up. Maybe 20% off your first purchase with the card would be appropriate like other store credit cards do. Overall, unless you are a Staples power shopper, I would not get this card.

I really do like the Staples Store Card because of their great reward system! It comes in especially handy for small business owners who frequently need office supplies. The Staples rewards is well above average compared to other store credit cards. The biggest turnoff about this card is their 28% interest rate. Their interest rate is definitely on the high end when you compare to other store cards. I think it would be great if they offered some type of intro rate for the first 12 months, sadly, they don't give this option. They do have great online services. Also, compared to other store cards, their customer service is always top notch! Their grace period and late fees are pretty average compared to other store cards. Would only recommend this card to small business owners who could benefit greatly from the rewards.

The Staples Store card offers a decent, but uninspired, rewards system of a straight 5% rebate on any item purchased at Staples. This is a higher rate than most cards offer, however it is through the Staples Rewards program which you might be able to sign up for without the credit card. The lack of an annual fee is good, but you'll need that money to afford the extremely high APR with no introductory rate to cushion the blow. Perhaps decent for people that spend extremely large amounts at Staples and can pay the bill in full to avoid the finance charges, I can't see recommending this card to anyone else who doesn't desperately need to build their credit.

I really enjoy that I am able to obtain bonus points for purchases made at Staples, but seeing as they are one of the biggest office supply stores I guess I expected more from them. Don't get me wrong the card comes in handy when I need something for school and I don't have the cash, and at Christmas time when I need to buy electronic presents!

Compared to other store cards I have, the Staples store card is about average. It’s great for small business owners or anyone who purchases office supplies with some regularity, because of the automatic enrollment in the Staples Rewards program, with which you get 5% back. It could also be a good card for a student looking to build their credit buying things they would need anyway, since it is available to anyone with Fair credit or higher. The APR is pretty high so I would never carry a balance on this card. The late fee is also comparable to other store cards I have had, such as Kohls or Macys cards.

As far as store credit cards are concerned, the Staples Store card is an excellent choice. There is no annual fee, which is always excellent. Also, there is a chance to get reward points, which is 5%. The interest rate is high, but if you are an individual that may have a need to buy office supplies quite frequently, then this card may be for you, especially since the card does offer rewards that could redeemed later for different items. I feel that it would be great for small business owners who are looking to save money. but still run a business.

I run a small business out of my home and have found the Staples store card to be useful in building bonuses for extra supplies like paper or, unironically, staples. It takes many miscellaneous items to run your business day to day, and we go through a lot of it over here. The high interest rate isn't a plus for sure, and if I didn't shop at Staples so often I would never use this card, but if the pros outweigh the cons, I recommend that any small business try out the Staples store credit card and see if it works for you.

The Staples store credit card is one of many store cards that you can get from various stores around most towns. You automatically get 5% back on all items which is a really nice plus if you shop at staples often. This card, although it does not have any fees or cash advances, does in fact have a VERY STEEP interest rate of twenty-eight percent. Overall, this card is above average in terms of other store cards around but isn't the best. If you haven't ever used a store credit card or don't shop at staples very often then I suggest getting a different card similar to the Amazon credit card or something similar. The reason I give it a 4 star rating and not a 5 star rating is because of the steep interest rate. if the interest rate were closer to 22-25% then it would be a phenomenal card.

The Staples Store credit card is yet another store card, but this offers some decent incentive to use. There are no fees for cash advances which is always nice, and you get automatically enrolled into Staples Rewards program where you get 5% back on all items!! Some downsides of the card is that it has a pretty steep interest rate at 28% which can deter some people from trying it. I suggest trying a different card if you are not one who shops at Staples to often, A card I would suggest is the Amazon CC, you get rewards on every purchase, and has great rates. Overall the Staples card is not bad, and is actually above average, if you are a fan of the store give it a shot.
