Save 5% on almost every purchase with this card when you use it online or at target.com. With that, I save anywhere for $200-$400 a year

At start of covid instead of store payment I called to make. I was informed I must have my bank checking acct#, or she could not help me. Figured covid problem. In May target called me said she was wrong he can make a payment with my debit card. Said he would remove late mark but never did. I have one late on all my credit. Them. Not Good at all.

Will not raise your limit. I called them and all they will say is have you updated your income and that’s the only response they will give you

$300 credit limit for two years, absolutely no increase, plus I have excellent credit. Spend about $500 per month at Target. Have to make a payment twice per month in order to get the discount. Love Target, just not TD Bank that issues the card, and doesn’t allow you to ask for a CLI.

I’ve had the target card since 2008, I like that I get rewarded each time I use it, it gives me 5% of right at the checkout, 5% doesn’t sound like much, but that covers the sales tax each time.

Love target! Good products. Purchased Casper king down pillows online with target. Free delivery. Have used their grocery delivery during the pandemic. Excellent service.

The rewards aren't really enough to make me excited to use it. Yes, they do have the free two day shipping but Target prices seem to be higher than other places so it's not really saving me much. They did start me out with a $1200 limit though, which helped lower my credit utilization but other than that.... worthless card pretty much.

I use the card for groceries and it does give 5 percent back on all purchases, 5 percent back makes the milk cheaper than Walmart, but that's a loss leader to get you in the store, most groceries are much higher than Walmart, waiting for 18 months with usage for the Visa Upgrade, then more usage.

Yes I would recommend Target store card for future purchases for emergency and family products. Always good to have little insurance on the side just in case for those hard times.

If you don't use your credit card frequently, Target screws you and lowers your credit limit. This is discrimination and unfair if you are not a frequent shopper.

Amazing my g. Makes shopping simple and I couldn’t have done it without the ease of the target card and the target app. I’ve bought a heater, underwear, and toothpaste!

I will most likely cancel this card for the fact that I was never notified that there was or would be a decrease in my limit. They also gave me no reason for the decrease in my limit.

Very organized and easy to understand your credit on this particular app. I am amazed at how much information they are able to pull up just by your social security number. Thanks for developing this app to help people view their credit report information online.

ZERO STARS!
The Target RedCard is one of the worst cards to have. Before I explain why this is one of the worst cards to have, I will disclose some information used to evaluate my creditworthiness. Over the past 24 months my credit score has been anywhere between 802 and 823. I make 160k+ per annum and never utilize more than a 3% of my overall credit.
Upon opening my Target RedCard, I was only given
a $2000 credit limit. After about a month I asked for an increase which was denied. Around 3 or 4-months later I asked again and was only granted a CL of $3500. This means that if I do not want this cards balance to adversely effect my credit score by keeping it under 10% of the balance I can only spend a max of $350 on any given month.
A few months after the increase to $3500 I purchased a NetGear router, Air Pods and few other less expensive items totaling around $550. Durning this same billing cycle Target decided they should decrease my CL to $1000 without any written or verbal notice. The > 50% utilization caused my credit score to drop around 17 points. Furthermore, they were unwilling to increase my CL.
Credit score declines from an increased utilization percent are temporary. Once you pay it off, your credit score should return to where it was previously (given there are no other changes in your credit). So no big deal, right? Wrong! Out of nowhere Target decides to close my RedCard. Targets decision to close my card is permanent and has several deleterious effects on my credit.
1. I have had this card for many years and it reduced my average age of credit history.
2. Shows up as closed account for which no more payments can be made and it remains on credit report as closed for another 7 to 10 years.
3. To get another Target RedCard I would need to reapply which results in a hard credit pull. As you know this also dings your credit score.
4. It will most likely effect your overall credit card utilization rate. Not so much for me since the last CL on my RedCard was only $1000.
In summary, this is one of the worst credit cards for new and long time credit card holders because of business practices employed by TD Bank. This card is not worth the 5% back even when you consider a signup bonus gift card of $25 or $50.
DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.… show more

Lowering credit limit when utilization is always under 5 percent. And credit score is 714. Always have paid blll in full every month. Card sucks

Convenient and you get 5% off on all purchases. Drive up pick up too. Negatives: They don’t accept requests for credit line increases. Credit line increases come only when they decide to increase.

It is a great card to shop with plus free shipping BUT IT IS INSANELY DIFFICULT to pay my bill. I cannot pay it through the app and the website?? I have had to change my passwords 3 times in the past 6 months when going to logon to pay because they are no longer recognized. I know they are correct bc I've created special ones just for their webpage and have written them down,
so I know I am entering exactly right the new password. But it won't let me log on. I've reached out to Target several times about this, but they feign innocence. It is my belief that they time-out passwords on purpose so that, by the time you can get online to pay your bill (especially if you're not someone like me who sets it up at least a week in advance) because cut off payment is 5pm on the day it is due (what other credit card does not accept same-day payments on the day a bill is due? IT'S ALL ELECTRONIC, TARGET!!), you're then too late and they can charge you a late payment fee. SHAME ON YOU, TARGET!… show more

It has been a great store card that is easy to manage with 5% discount on everything bought with it. Based on my average credit score I was only given a 300$ limit not the best, but I'm hopeful it will increase with my score going up.

Interest rate is lower than most other retail cards and offers 5% cashback. However, Target's everyday higher retail prices keeps my shopping limited to specials.

Card is ok, had it for over a year now and paid off my card in full, yet they will not raise my limit on this card. I have other banks with 20x's the limit on this card and they still don't even bump me up $700 more in limit. They started me at $300 and will not increase me. What a shame, guess my travel rewards visa card will get the business.

Below is the email I received from target red card. I entered a new bank account to pay my red card and I messed up a number, so it was returned. I figured since it was my 1st issue that they would waive the $29 fee with no problem. The 5 managers I spoke with (all at different times) all said they can’t wait the fee and that’s their policy. They would not transfer me
to anyone above them and told me the Only way I can connect with somebody at their corporate office is by writing a letter. They also didn’t care that I was canceling my card and going to shop elsewhere. Worst Service EVER! ARCHIVED RE: Transactions Jan 07, 2021 Hello Rachel, We're sorry to hear that you weren't able to receive the help you needed when you called us. After reviewing your account, we found that your bank returned the recent payment of $121 payment because the bank account saved online was deemed as an invalid bank account. Your RedCard account was charged a fee due to this returned payment. We're sorry, but we’re unable to remove the returned payment fee from your account. We understand that this may not be the outcome you were looking for, but we hope you understand that we must remain consistent with our credit policies, in fairness to all our accountholders. Unfortunately, we're unable to arrange for a phone call to you through an online message request. We're sorry for any disappointment. After about a year of having the card Target decided to lower my credit card limit from $1,000 to $500 without any explanation or warning. My highest balance was $34 which was paid before interest could accrue. WHY??

After 2.5 years of making ongoing, on time, DOUBLE monthly payments... NEVER EVEN ONE LATE PAYMENT... This card arbitrarily lowered my $2,600 credit limit to $600.... NO WARNING, NOTHING.... My balance at the time was only $530, it had NEVER been higher than $700....
So, imagine, it SIGNIFICANTLY lowered my available credit & immediately raised my usage percentage...
ALL because a medical billing company FAILED to bill my secondary insurance, they ERRONEOUSLY flagged my credit score with
a collection and despite having called them TWICE within the last 4 mos, with my secondary insurance information, they FAILED to run my secondary insurance... It took me opening a dispute for them to FINALLY charge my medical insurance and erase this garbage from my credit score... Jerks!! They are playing with people's livleyhood!
Despite calling target MULTIPLE times and asking them to look at my credit report, again, to see the change they informed me it was an irreversible change and they would not be looking into my claim, period done.
They said they will review my credit score in the future... One of their reasons were "credit history not long enough" LOL.... they gave me $2600 2.5 yrs ago, but 2.5 yrs later, my credit history is too short? Really...? Sounds real smart...
I'm done with ?, the only reason I went there was because I had their credit card
.... And after seeing how they treat their LOYAL CUSTOMERS with not even one late payment in 2.5 yrs, I'm done shopping there! I promised them in the phone I would pay my balance due and be done with them... Buh bye, Target!!… show more

Love my RedCard! Applied a year ago with a CL of $500. After a few months it was increased to $700. I use it regularly and pay it off each month. Target is an excellent company. I don't work there but have friends who have and they give the company rave reviews.

Careful, this caused me 70pts on my credit score. Reported a missed payment to the credit bureaus on $25 bill. This was in March. I was sidetracked by spending my grandmothers last week with her and the emergence of a global pandemic. I have twice explained and submitted a request for review - but they are not going to help. The 5% savings at target sure had cost me a lot with my credit. Beware
- this is the only card I have ever gotten a late payment on and with it being a balance at $25 it is extremely frustrating. Check the recent ratings looks like in the last year this card has gotten really BAD!!!… show more

Second payment to these leeches, made on time (actually early,) on my next statement, there's a 29.00 return fee. What? Called them, and got exactly nowhere. Not our fault, TFB. I have NEVER had a late payment, on this or any other credit card. Will pay off the 121.00 balance at the minimum, then destroy the card. Will not ever shop at Target again.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Will destroy this card! Not worth the hassle! They do not care if you were burned by Shipt, robbed for over $50 in merchandise. Cancelled service last day. Was STILL charged $99 for the annual fee. Notified them I did NOT want their shitty plan Immediately, THAT DAY!!!! Was told that charge would not go through, would be removed. Nope. Had to make 6 calls over 5 days. Transferred and put on
hold multiple times by idiots who "did not know how to handle this situation". F****n morons! Stay away from this card! Stick with Visa who protects and looks out for the customer! Still, to date and at the moment, ON HOLD and NO REFUND! Next, reporting to BBB and Ripoffreport.com.… show more

On time paying customer for over 20 years. Received one credit line increase within the first five years. Good credit and never late on payments; never extended an increase. No real advantage to the card.
