While I love torrid as a company and for their modern take on clothing -this card is awful. Crazy high apr even for great credit. No way to auto pay. High late fee if you pay past 8pm the day it's due. Will be paying this card off and letting it sit. It's no better than the LB card. Will continue to shop at Torrid but going to ditch this card as soon as I
can before they raise their apr again.… show more

This is a wonderful credit card get great you get great coupons and discounts I highly recommend this card the first time you usually get 35% off your purchase and they send you a promotion that if you sign up for insurance on your card you get a $25 gift card which is great cuz you can cancel it right away and you still get 25 bucks

I love Torrid, but their card SUCKS! I originally received it with a $250 limit, had some hard times financially and they knocked it down to $100. COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE!!! I was just grateful they allowed me to keep it. After 2 years, they bumped it up to $400. I didn't shop, I was just excited. That was November of 2019. January 2020 they dropped it down to $100 again because of "Lack of real estate."
November 2020 it soared up to $600. I have a zero balance, pay it off monthly or the very least within 3 months. January 2021 my balance dropped again to $100 because "lack of real estate." I rent. How is that fair? I don't get it. I've written and asked and now waiting on an answer. The yo-yo of credit limits is having a negative impact on my credit which I am working very hard to improve due to not working (thanks 2020!) and although I love the benefits of the card, it may not be worth it. I will update once I get an answer.… show more

For the most part they are ok. My complaint is that I added a new checking account for a payment and input one number wrong. I had no idea though because I didn’t receive an email, letter or call about the missed payment. I got my next statement and wondered why my balance had gone up. Called customer service and was told not only would I get a late fee but a returned check fee
AND have my card suspended for 3 billing cycles. So I’ve been paying on a card that I can’t use.… show more

I love Torrid. I have shopped there for years. I recently got pre-approved for their card with a score in the mid 500 range. The APR is definitely high but you do get 5% off every purchase you make. I use the card and go online and pay it off the following day. For context on my credit profile- I have a car payment, deferred student loans, Kohls, Nordstrom, and Capital One cards. I have
deferred student loan debt and 1 personal loan. All are in good standing and paid on time. I do have a few medical collections and old charge-offs that I am working on clearing up as well.… show more

I was encouraged to get it as an employee and received enough credit to buy around 3 pairs of jeans and be maxed out. I lost my job due to the pandemic and was put on a payment plan WITH autopay, and so I stopped watching for the payments since they were only ten dollars, out of the blue my credit drops 45 points and come to find out I’m 60 days late on this
card and owe more than I have in a credit line. I never received any calls, notices, or emails either. The customer service was no help, and I was forced to pay them before closing the account. I do not recommend.… show more

I just went to buy jeans that were on sale. I noticed the discount and tax amounts changed out of my favor when I entered my Torrid card info. Thinking something wasn't right, I tried it with my AmEx info. There was a $15 difference in final costs between the cards, with Torrid's cost being higher. How does that even happen??? I'm so glad I was paying attention! This card is getting cut up.

Card is a scam for late fees and interest. Customer service over seas is terrible and receive different answers to same question depending on who you speak with. Would not let me close out card and when you make a payment on the due date it is still late because the latest answer is now due by 6 pm Eastern time which is different than I was told.

I loved shopping at Torrid and got their credit card. I've made my payments on time and out of the blue, they dropped my credit limit. Customers shouldn't be treated that way especially when making their payments on time. If they're late constantly, I can understand. I'm beyond livid and doubt I'll be shopping there anymore.

I have had my card for about two years. I’ve never made a late payment, have a great credit score, and they are constantly changing my credit limit. First it was $250, then $400, then $70, then $100. I most likely will not be using this credit card anymore.

Truly the worst credit card. Great at first, but they must have NOTHING to do at customer service, as they called me six times in one day because my payment was late on $45! I had my card for a while and never made a late payment. Then I got hit with a late fee for paying on the due date at 10:00 p.m. Apparently, their day ends at 9:00 p.m. and if you pay after that time, it gets counted as late. I called and told them I was under the impression that the day ended at midnight, because that is literally how everywhere else works. They were
like, "too bad, so sad" and would only offer me a discount on my late fee. I closed the card. I mean, you're going to punish me for paying ON MY DUE DATE? Just, no.… show more

I had my card with them for about 2 years or so and just found out today that they closed my account a month ago. Apparently they check your credit reports periodically and they decided based off what they saw that they were going to close my account. So they did that on Feb 7th and then sent me a general email on Feb 8th telling me to login for info on my account. Nothing
urgent in nature at all, so i didn't think much of it until i looked at my credit reports today and saw the changed account status. I called and spoke with someone and he informs me that it was due to inactivity and that they emailed me the day after they closed it. So i asked to speak to a manager. The manager informed me that it was closed because of questionable recent credit history. Im not denying that i was in arrears on other accounts, but i simply question their practices here. They gave me zero chance to prevent this from happening. I had only had one late payment with them. I always paid my balance in full. So i felt i should've been given some consideration in the matter. At least 30 days off notice at a minimum. The one time that i was late making a payment they called me no less than three to four times a day plus text messages and emails until i paid them. So it seems that they are able to communicate abundantly when it benefits them, but not when it benefits their clientele. They offered to let me reapply for another card. I'm like, seriously?? So you just injured my credit and you want me to injure it some more by applying for another line of credit???? Very unprofessional. Very sketchy. Beware of this company!!!!!… show more

I called for the payoff amount on my account in November, 2019. I paid that amount and once it cleared my bank, I called and closed my account. When I closed my account, I was never told about any extra charges, in fact, was told account was closed and I was good to go. Then I received a bill in December with interest charges only. Their IVR system said account was closed so I figured
they had corrected their error. However come January, I am still getting a bill, their explanation was because I paid it off before the bank’s billing cycle which is much later than my due date I accrued interest. The interest rates are calculated at the end of THEIR billing cycle and not your due date therefore the amount quoted to you before THEIR billing cycle, whether it is their IVR system or a real person is incorrect. Which is BS. Thinking Comenity Bank had corrected their error back in Dec., I had not made a payment, then I receive a January bill with additional charges, $1 interest and $29.00 late fee for a total of $30. I called regarding these fees and after going through IVR hell, finally reached a real person who agreed that fees should be waived but he did not have that capability so transferred me to a ‘manager’ which was like talking to a brick wall! Needless to say, charges were not waived and when this amount is paid, I figure Comenity Bank will again charge interest because my due date is before THEIR billing date and I will again have a balance. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS CHARGE CARD! Not only is interest rate way too high In this economy but their system is set up to penalize the consumer.… show more

I love Torrid and I’ve gone there quite often, I always have paid my card on time and never had a problem with it up until now. On the 30th of December I used it to pay for the clothes I had picked out, and typically if I use the card at the end of the month, it’ll go onto the next months payment and I’ll get an email telling me when my payment is
due. Nope. For some reason it had the payment due for the 1st of January and I never got an email telling me that it was due. So they of course charged me with the late fee and still had yet to email me letting me know. It wasn’t until I went onto my account and saw that I had a payment past due that I realized what happened. I’ll bet you can imagine my face seeing that. So I call customer service, also another grueling experience with the automated voice system, and eventually get on with a representative just to tell me the best they can do is give me a $15 credit towards the bill. Because that $15 sure is going to help my credit score! I love Torrid but sure won’t be using this card anytime soon! And yes I do realize that I can check my account, but I rely on that email to remind me of upcoming payments. Won’t be making that mistake again!… show more

I have had this card for about a year. Never paid late and always paid more than minimum. I just received one of their "secured" notifications that they are lowering my credit limit due to a lack in mortgage and high balances on other cards. First off, none of my other cards are over $600 limit. Second, I paid cash for a $170k house and now have a fully liquidable asset. Third, it is literally
2 days from Christmas and I used my cards to buy Christmas due to the discounts associated and I did that only a day or so before the reporting cycle. Instead of waiting it out to see if I pay them off, they lowered my limit. I will no longer support a company that punishes their customers for making responsible financial decisions. I will be closing this account and do not recommend anyone use their cards or even purchase their overpriced cheaply made clothing.… show more

This card gets one star because it works like a credit card should in general and because it’s the lowest I can go. There are two main issues I wanted to write about:
1) There is no option for automatic monthly payments. I have requested this option several times but I had been years now. I can only assume that there is no incentive for them to add this functionality to support their customers because the
late-fees are an extra revenue stream that they don’t want to lose.
2) I currently have a zero balance Becca I’m not using the card anymore after the issue with automatic payments (see above.) But there has recently been a breach of my Torrid account information by Chase Bank. I have received text messages telling me I must call about my account, and just now I received a call from a scamming call center telling me that I “only have a $45 balance and let’s just rake care of this now and set up payments.” I told them I had already double-checked my balance because of the texts I had received and it was zero.
Beware of this card!
And Do. Better. Chase Bank!!!… show more

Torrid offers a pretty good selection in plus size apparel. Not great quality in everything. Buyers beware. Some products are paper thin that get damaged even if you hand wash! Another suggestion. Pay cash or use other credit cards. Don't rely on TORRID credit card. They will play with your credit raising and lowering it if you don't use it often! You won't be given enough notice when they plan on lowering it. You will

The APR is only high if you don't pay your bill in full. You shouldn't be spending more than you have. You can also pay your bill in the store. I have a Lane Bryant Card through the same bank. Torrid is an amazing store! I opened this credit card actually as a gift for my fiancee. She is a bigger girl and has always had trouble finding clothing she likes that is decently priced and in style. Torrid was literally the answer to our prayers. Even their card is a good deal. Okay, so the APR is rather high if you let a balance carry over, but if you don't, then there are no problems. I liked having this card, it allowed me to buy my girlfriend cute things when I didn't necessarily have the money at that moment, and then pay it off with the next paycheck. That's a benefit when you see something you like, and it is the last one left in the store.

The benefits are mediocre at best. Torrid emails and mails coupons every once in a while. Considering how expensive this store is, I think the rewards/discounts suck. This card is also connected to Divastyle. This is not a major credit card, it can only be used at Torrid stores and on their website, issued by Comenity. The Torrid card application listed a 24.99% APR and this is definitely high, especially for those people who procrastinate
on making payments… Or can't resist spending money that they don't have. This card is a poor choice if you ever carry a balance. The Divastatus rewards gives a $10 rewards certificate per 200 points earned and that’s a 5% rebate. Aside from that, there are also specials and promotions and whatever the first purchase discount may be (which was 15% off the first purchase as I’m writing this).… show more

This card is just okay for me. You have the convenience of having it be attached to your diva style account and not having to use both cards, but that is legitimately the only perk to the actual card. All the perks already exist as long as you're a Divastyle member. The interest rate on the card is really high, which is typical for a store card, but still. You can be a Divastyle member
