The U.S. Bank College Visa Credit Card limit was $300 or more, but the card is no longer available. U.S. Bank currently has a few credit cards that could work well for students, but all of their credit cards require at least good credit for approval. If you're a student with at least good credit, the U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa card is a great option. It gives 1 - 5% Cash Back cash back rewards depending on categories. U.S. Bank doesn't list minimum or maximum credit limits for its credit cards, but your limit is likely to be $300 or more.

This was my first credit card, and it is not a great card at all. I’ve had it for I would say around 9 years. They’ve never once allowed me to increase the limit. I have problems with purchases with it all the time. I’ve had them replace the card with a new one, and surely enough it still declines all the time. It’s completely unreliable no matter what the balance on it is. I’m not sure if it’s a processing issue where it takes along time to process the payment and reflect on the cards balance, but if this was my only card it would’ve left me stranded at the gas station many times. There are a lot better options out there for cards.

This is a great card. I don't really know if there is a rewards program, because I do not use it. But, this was the first card I had and it really helped me to build my credit and helped me become responsible with a credit card. I would recommend this card to a friend.

I've had this card since I was 16. At first it was great, but they've slowly been cutting away at the Rewards program and find excuses to put minimum fees. Their minimum fee at $35 is one of the highest compared to all my other credit cards. If I weren't stuck with this card as my oldest line of revolving card, I would get rid of it. At the very least, I won't be using it any longer especially when I can be spending that money on something like my Amazon card which gives me lots of rewards. I definitely recommend NOT getting this card.

I've had this card for almost four years. I started out with a $300 credit limit, which apparently is a common amount for students. I have never applied to increase my credit limit because honestly, I just don't have a need to. I've never made a late payment, paid the minimum payment, or used over 60% of my credit. Due to this, my credit score has gone up. I had a few problems with customer service when I changed my name and tried to get that reflected on my account, but to me, that's understandable. Besides that, their customer service department has always been more than helpful. Also, I've never been charged any fees (particularly because besides a late fee, they don't exist), which I absolutely love. Fees are the exact reason that I haven't applied for other credit cards. I really love their online pay function, too. I've set mine up with autopay and it's extremely convenient! Overall, I'd highly recommend this card for students. If you're looking for rewards, though, this obviously isn't for you.

I got this card after I stopped using my citi student card. This card gets too stars from me since I had it over 3 years and never had a late payment. They won't increase my credit amount. When I open this card my credit limit is $300.Mind you, when I first opened this card I made like $5000 a year and now I make way more than that. I still remember when this card was "dark blue" design. Like any student card, this one has no annual fees or any real benefits. Every bank offers zero fraud liability, in fact I don't know a bank that don't. I feel that there grace period is a little short. Usually it is about 35 days. The only benefit is that I bank at US so I can pay my card off online immediately.

I got this card back when I started going to college and needed something that wasn’t always pulling from my checking account. I turned to US Bank as I had a savings and a checking account with them. They were really nice helping me determine whether or not this was the right card for me. Since then I have never had any issues with the card or the bank in general. They are very good at sending reminders to pay the balance and the amount you can get approved for is amazing for a broke college student. My campus also had a branch which made it that much easier to deposit money, pay off the balance, and ask any questions I had. I have never had any security issues either and would highly recommend this card for any college student looking to build credit.

I’ve never run into issues with this card, I absolutely love it. Everything is clearly spelled out when you sign up, and the website explains everything else. It’s so easy to pay it off online and the customer service line if there’s a problem is the best. I just got this card when I started college to establish credit, and I haven’t gone back since. They just make it so easy. I had a US Bank on campus when I first got my card, and this made it much easier when I needed to pay in person. They protect your identity and want to keep you as a customer, they want to make you happy.

I initially signed up for this card to ensure I had overdraft protection on my student checking account with US Bank. I didn't really use it until I had to pay over $400 for books one month. I didn't have the money and had no idea where I was going to get it from. I Forgot about my credit card and used it, knowing I was getting a tax refund withing a couple weeks. I was so happy I had this card, it really saved me. Also, there is an amazing 24 day grace period before interest starts accruing. I paid my balance in full when I received my tax refund and didn't get charged a penny in interest. This card is great for any student who has limited or no credit because the limit is manageable and US Bank's customer service is amazing. Would definitely recommend to any friend!

Starting out as a young, poor college student can certainly be frightening. I was really lucky to have a U.S. Bank on campus that was ready to help me figure out how to pay for books, food, and loans. The U.S. Bank College Visa® Card is perfect for helping beginners navigate the world of credit by helping students to establish a solid credit rating. I've always enjoyed the convenience of U.S. Bank, as well as their Zero Fraud Liability advantage. I had my card stolen once and as soon as I called, the customer care representative took care of everything right away! Definitely a solid choice.
