Fraudulent billing practices - After a few months of using the Valero card for our truck fleet, I noticed that I was being charged late fees. I was sending in payment 10 days prior to the due date, so it struck me as odd. After calling Valero (WEX) I learned that on two occasions they were holding my payment until it was 1 day late, and then charging late fees. I canceled the account with a $0.00 balance. However, I continued to receive billing statements for monthly fees, and then an additional 32.99% interest for not paying the monthly fees on top of that. Even after calling and confirming the account was canceled, the bills keep coming. Now I am just waiting for a collection agent to call so I can try to deal with it that way.

This company is horrible please don't get a credit card with them. You can't talk to anyone on the phone about you credit card. I paid my bill somehow my bank denied the payment. I got a 200.00 late fee from Valero's when my payment was 58.00. I'm hiring a company to fight this charge. I hate Valero's!

I have been a card customer for over 6 months.. Haven't had any issues with service. But as for using in a Circle K In Kentucky or Indiana NOPE.. The card isn't good at any of them so far. And still haven't seen any mention on my credit that i even have a card with them. I got the card as part of credit building but if it wont report then i will be canceling it.

Thank you for excepting me into the Valero family and I know you approved me because my payments are on time even if my history is a little over 2 years old. I messed up while young and started over with a secure card that eventually approved a unsecure card with a balance increase. This was great to receive as I have to ask others to drive me anywhere due to a seizure disorder & now I can use this card then pay it off each month. My son does a lot of driving as a timber faller and this is great for him to fill up to and helping me get to stores with the extra bonus of helping my credit score get even better. I set my son up not to make credit mistakes as a young man of 20 and he is doing fantastic. So thank you I will be using it for the first time this week and my little town only has one station I can use this at but I'm not complaining. I am curious it says you can use at Circle K which we have one but it isn't a fuel station just a store so can it still be used there anyway? Thank you!!

Valero gave me a chance when others wouldn't. Yes, it has high intrest. But i have 4 or 5 Valeros in my town. So this card serves its purpose. I also travel back to see my children and grandchildren. This is a 7 hour drive and there are plenty of Valeros on my way. This is a absolute plus for me.

I applied for the card. They turned me down. They said my score was 500’s when it was really up in the 600’s. Don’t know where they got that from but I was offended. They could have made up a better reason.

I don't drive enough to get ANY discounts. The website to pay is absurd. Multiple questions, social security AND password-and none of them allows your computer to remember them! Just cut up my card. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!

I read all these reviews with IDIOTS trashing this card and comparing it to such things as Disney Chase Visa cards and such . . . Here it is in a nutshell. It is a basic gas card to purchase fuel at Valero allowing you to not load up your Visa or Mastercard credit cards. People complaining about APR 1) really have no business having credit cards anyway as they should not live off them or run balances and 2) you knew the APR when you signed up or should have . . . dear lord people are so moronic to trash a card because they have some sort absurd expectations. It's like leaving a bad review for a restaurant because you were put on a wait when you arrived. get over yourselves people.

Anyone trying to build or rebuild their credit should take heed here. Banks tend to shy away from those who appear to be living off their credit cards, even when they pay on time every month. This applies to credit limit increases as well as opening new accounts. Carrying large balances and maxing out gas cards is not a good practice for building or rebuilding credit. It's common behavior of those who are most likely to default.

I've been a Valero card holder for 2 years. It's my favorite gas card because the rewards are much better than BP, Texico, Chrevron, Marathon and Shell (IF) you can manage to meet the 50 gallon monthly requirement. If you spend less than that, I would recommend that you get a gas card from some other company. The other companies will more than likely give you 3 or 4 cents off per gallon with no purchase requirements.
