Wells Fargo Reflect Review Summary
The Wells Fargo Reflect® Card is a good credit card for people with good credit or better who want 0% introductory interest rates for purchases and balance transfers. Wells Fargo Reflect is worthwhile because it has a $0 annual fee and allows cardholders to avoid interest for 21 months from account opening. That could easily save you hundreds of dollars.
Upon reflection, however, the Wells Fargo Reflect Card does have some flaws. For one thing, cardholders won’t earn rewards on purchases. In addition, if you carry a balance from month to month after the 0% intro period, you will be charged interest at a fairly high rate. And if you do a balance transfer or make an international purchase, you’ll be charged a fee.

Wells Fargo Reflect Card Highlights
0% for 21 months from account opening on purchases
The Wells Fargo Reflect Card’s interest-free introductory period is nearly twice as long as you’d get from the average 0% intro APR credit card offer.
Intro APR of 0% for 21 months from account opening on qualifying balance transfers
Having nearly two years without interest accruing on qualifying transferred balances could save you a lot of money and help you get out of debt sooner. Just be sure to make on-time minimum payments (at least) along the way. Also, since the 0% clock starts when you open an account, it’s best to request your balance transfer when you apply.
$0 annual fee
The Wells Fargo Reflect Card has a $0 annual fee, so fixed costs will not detract from your savings on interest. The lack of an annual fee also saves cardholders $21.65 per year compared to the average credit card offer, though it doesn’t do much to distinguish Wells Fargo Reflect from other elite 0% APR credit cards, which hardly ever charge annual fees.
$600 in cell phone protection
If you use the Wells Fargo Reflect Card to pay your monthly cell phone bills, you’ll get up to $600 to repair or replace your phone should it get broken or stolen. You will have to file a claim and wait for it to be processed, though, in addition to paying a deductible of $25. You can use this benefit as many as two times per 12-month period.
Wells Fargo Reflect Card Lowlights
No rewards
The Wells Fargo Reflect Card does not reward cardholders with cash back, points or miles for making purchases. This isn’t too big of a deal, however, because the card is designed for saving money on interest, the best 0% APR credit cards often lack rewards, and you could always get a rewards card for everyday purchases.
17.99% - 29.99% Variable APR
The Wells Fargo Reflect Card’s regular APR, which takes effect when the 0% intro period ends, could be anywhere from 17.99% to 29.99% Variable depending on your overall creditworthiness when you apply. There’s a good chance you’ll be assigned a higher-than-average APR, however, considering that the average APR among new credit card offers right now is 22.15%.
Even if you get a rate near the low end of the Reflect Card’s range, it’s best not to leave much of a balance subject to the card’s regular APR for long. Doing so will quickly erase your intro-period savings.
3% foreign transaction fee
The Wells Fargo Reflect Card charges a 3% foreign fee on all purchases processed internationally, including purchases made while traveling abroad as well as purchases made through foreign merchants while you’re in the U.S. Given that Wells Fargo Reflect’s foreign fee is higher than average and many credit cards with no foreign fees are available, it’s best to choose a different card for international spending.
5% (min $5) balance transfer fee
Obviously, having no balance transfer fee would be preferable to paying 5% (min $5) per transfer. However, you won’t find any credit cards without balance transfer fees offering 0% intro APRs for nearly as long as Wells Fargo Reflect.
