Have a heloc using there virtual wallet made 3 payments which were send back no one that I spoke with had any clue why. 2 weeks later they tell me they are sorry. I asked to close my accounts since I do not want to have to worry about them making more mistakes that could result in multiple issues. 72 hours of my time 2 weeks of worry and I get I am sorry. When I ask to pay of my loan thus closing my account they want to charge me 3 thousand dollars the executive response team is worthless. May have to file a law suit to resolve will also look for attorney to request my account be audited and to apex to there legal department as they may be doing this to other customers
The customer service is horrible, The online system is always changing and is down. I have uncovered multiple errors that have resulted in extensive wasted time on the phone with a promise of call back after you get transferred 3 times I called the executive office and they told me that no courtesy credit for customer due to their mistakes my time on the phone could have been avoided with a call back which is interesting since how would they know something was wrong if I did not have to waste 1 hour of my time to explain. The sad part the executive office has no clue I told them I would close my accounts they said ok amazing
I should start by saying we've been with PNC since they acquired National City Bank many years ago. We've had several car loans, a mortgage, and most recently a HELOC and Line of Credit. For the first time ever, someone from PNC called and said that they might have a way for us to get a better interest rate while extending our line of credit. I was open to the conversation and went through the process with the expectation of getting a .75% rate reduction, even though I'd have to set this and that up on my end to get the rate that low. All I can say is this was a total bait-n-switch experience. The first rep sells you while the other internal and less people friendly rep breaks the news that their underwriters can't get the rate I was told. Both my wife and I have scores in the 800's, good incomes, and equity already existed in the home. When I mentioned that I wasn't interested in extending the line at a higher rate the rep was dismissive and had an "I don't care" attitude, as if I was wasting her time. Really? PNC has gotten too big to understand customer service, which is just a total shame. We're now looking to move our funds to another institution, not that I expect PNC to care much about that either.
I have been a happy PNC bank customer for about 10 years. The service at the local branch is second to none! Any time I have a question they go the extra mile to answer it as completely as possible. The branch manager even clued me in on some changes the bank was starting the next month and she suggested how I should change my accounts to take best advantage of the new policies. She did all this without me even asking about it too! That blew me away! I never had a bank do anything like that for me before. Funny thing is that before I became a PNC customer I did not even know they existed. I had an old Riggs bank loan that PNC bought when Riggs got into trouble for money laundering years ago. I highly recommend PNC if you have a branch near you.

Before submitting an application, always verify with the issuing institution (i.e. bank, credit union, other lender) the rates, fees, and all terms and conditions accompanying the application.
