Huntington Bank Home Equity Loans Reviews
What's Your Rating?
Always friendly on the phone when needed to make online payments to make things easier.
The GOOD:
--Excellent % rate.
--Easy paperwork and competent people set up the HELOC.
--Rate discount for taking 40k at closing.
The BAD:
--Very few customer service folks available when you call (they will call you back at certain time).
--Bank website is stuck in 1990's. Can't configure automatic payments on their website -- have to call, give them the account number from where you are going to be paying, then they mail you a form (with your exposed checking account number) for you to sign, write the value you want to pay monthly on that form, and then mail it back. Sometime later your automatic payments will be turned on. What happens if you want to change the amount paid every month? I'm glad you asked!! REPEAT ABOVE BLOODY PAPERWORK.
--If you want to submit a single one-time payment you can on their site you have to enter checking account number, routing number and a CHECK NUMBER. There is some BS about only being able to process a maximum of 3k as a single payment every 30 days... WTF?
--I took out a line of credit so I can use the total value of the line whenever I need it and pay it back quickly (sometimes as early as the next month). Huntington needs to be able to electronically link accounts so money can be easily moved around.
