I would recommend this lender to anyone interested in a conventional mortgage.

Locked in my refi interest rate once they told me we were clear to proceed and would be able to accommodate my loan with no problem. Then a couple days later the Fed bumps up interest rates and they start saying I don’t qualify due to Federal regulations, yet two other Banks have told me that isn’t true and I qualify. But of course now I’m stuck at a higher rate because of the interest rate hike Republic wanted to avoid. Save yourself time and frustration and go somewhere else.

The loan officers here are very rude, unhelpful and condescending. They take forever to respond to you, I had to play phone tag with ones that were assigned to me. If you ever attempt to get a mortgage through them and get the loan officer Brian Hawkins please take my advice and just walk away.
This guy has no interest in getting your business and will end up making you feel very dumb if you ask ANY questions.

This was the worst refi transaction ever! Had to pay our insurance bill and escrow because they didn't transfer to the new mortgage. Can't get a reply for a reimbursement . Twice no one showed up for closing. To top it off my mortgage was sold to Wells Fargo in less than a week. Stay away from this company. They had no problem ringing my phone, now only crickets.

I have had a mortgage with this bank for 19 years. I have consistently received poor customer service. The rates and fees are higher than what I’ve seen with other mortgage companies yet I believe the poor customer service has been the biggest issue. In 19 years I have had 1 late payment yet have been not only harassed but accidentally received an email, not meant for me but meant for a coworker of the sender, that spoke about me as a “problem”. When called out the sender apologized but then stated that that was not what was meant. I understand this is a business but feel that the lack of any human interaction besides negative is important. I feel that refinancing is my best option at this point. I’d prefer to keep my high rate if I dealt with real people that treated me as such over even saving a few dollars....but it seems saving will be relatively easy. Don’t enter into any long term contract with this bank.
