I just spend an hour with the claims department. Great personal attention by the representative but the bank makes it impossible for him to get answers or assume responsibility. He was unable to accomplish the following: - Not able to explain why customer security held a check without informing us. - Not able to explain why a bill setup on line to be paid on March 3, using Capital One bill payer, was still not received by March 16. - Not able to get Capital One to send a note apologizing to the individual who has not received the payment. - Not able to track what went wrong with Bill Payer without having us make a claim and stop the payment. - We were informed that Capital One uses the US Mail and that bills may be paid 8-10 days after the due date and when the funds are deducted from our account. The advertising on the Bill Payer website is false. We also visited a Capital One branch and they said the only thing they could do was give us the number of the claims department.…read more
If I could give negative stars I would. Everyday I got a call to confirm my identity because I've been trying to put money on the cards. My bank and capital one said no payments were going through yet I have proof over over $700 going through, yet no money was ever being applied to my current available credit. They locked my card multiple times for trying to make payments and the last straw was when they closed every account I had because apparently trying to make payments on time or early or at all is fraudulent. F*** capital one they are the worst credit card company to ever even consider. Save all your money and don't let them steal your whole bank account because they will. Over $700 was stolen from me by them.…read more
I’m only disappointed that CapOne won’t increase my VentureOne limit beyond $5500. They indicated I don’t have enough monthly spend to necessitate more. Other than that, it’s a nice card to have with no annual fee and rewards back - I usually go for iTunes gift cards. They send me 0% balance transfer checks periodically. I’ve only ever used them once and paid it all back within 90 days. That helped finance my trip to Europe ahead of it and avoid paying interest.…read more
Horrible company. Not professional. Just a scam. Don't get involved with them. They harass you with advertisements, about 20 letters a month. Horrible. Then they hang up on you on the phone. It's the most difficult thing to get ahold of them. They are so unprofessional. Save your time, and do not apply. They are horrible. They don't even TRY to help you. Took me an HOUR to finally get things fixed because their employees SUCK. Especially Ben who hung up on me. Horrible man.…read more
Cap One is the WORST, WORST, WORST bank ever. Absolutely nobody knows what is going on. There is NO customer service. Nobody tells you the same story (they will lie just to get you off the line), the departments do not talk to each other, it is not possible to call anyone directly - EVEN A MANAGER!!! You are stuck having to explain your story over and over to a succession of idiots, none of which can help. YET.... they will do anything to make money off of you even if it goes against specific directions i.e. DO NOT take from my line of credit to cover overdrafts. Like others, I could go on and on about their incompetence but am just forging ahead in "trying" to close my accounts which is no easy feat with those people. Arrgghhh...........…read more
I applied for this card and was told to send a deposit of $300 so I could have a credit limit of $300. The information I was given explained the only way to increase the credit limit was by increasing my deposit. I was hesitant as I had a previous horrid experience with Capital One and their customer service confusion. I had an unsecured card with $300 limit that had not been activated and was in a car accident. It became part of the vehicle. To replace the card, they required the number - which I did not have as I no longer had the card. Okay, fair enough. They said they would send out a replacement card and it would be expedited. I waited and a month later, called again. Oh - you have to verify your identity. For a replacement card? Oh - ignore that. We sent you the card - it will be there any day. Another three weeks pass and I call again. I ask where the card is, when it was sent, why it hasn’t arrived. Oh - we didn’t send it. I ask to speak to a supervisor and an hour later, a nice lady in Nova Scotia explains my account was closed and the card cancelled. Would I like to reapply? Considering the number of different stories I had heard from the call centre reps, I passed on it.…read more
Worst costumer service ever! After always making payments on time and being a costumer for the past 5 years, I made my last payment by the end of the due date and got charged interest, When I called to discuss the case, they said the payment was made after 8 o'clock, so it's not consider same day. So I asked to be reimbursed because I made the payment and was unaware of this policy, not only they said they could not do it but they offered to cancel my credit card if I was not happy with it. Long story short I cancel ALL my 4 credit cards with them, NEVER GO WITH THEM EVER AGAIN!!!…read more
The fact that Capital One's Spark Business Account is no longer supporting Online BillPay is baffling to me. Basically makes the account pretty useless in my opinion and I question how long they intend to keep the banking service running...
The worst customer service I had ever had. Took a month just to get my new card and it was the biggest hassle ever just to activate it. Will NEVER again be a customer for this awful company. Spoke with a manager after speak with 4 different foreign customer agent. The manager, Jessica, didn't seem to care whatsoever about my situation or about trying to help me out.
