Terrible bank doenst care if u leave will steal your money out of the atm if u make a cash deposit and will give u checks with wrong account numbers and wont remberss u for bounce checks. Id give them a negitive 5 star if i could this bank is garbage. Thats just the tip of the iceberg for me. F COMERICA BANK LEAVE THEM.
I had an account with Comerica for several years as a student but was disappointed when I was charged without notification an annual fee once I was no longer a student. The customer service is good and they generally will help with late fees but they will only do so once per year. If you deposit a check in the ATM, there is a few day waiting period for your money to become available. I would choose a different bank.…show more
Recently I ran into a little problem with an online payment that I had set up to be recurring at one point, but no longer needed. So I contacted the bank and the customer service rep, I think her name was Monica, helped me take care of getting new bank cards issued to me to prevent any future unwanted transactions from taking place by discontinuing the cards I was using. The whole process while a little upsetting in general, was handled very well and I felt like the bank was really on top of helping me protect my assets. The new cards arrived within the week and I was back up and operating as usual. Thanks Comerica.…show more
I was referred to this bank by a family member who works there. I was previously with another bank and was getting charged every month for checking and for checks even when I had direct deposit. I went in to Comerica and they couldn't be more friendly. I got everything that I wanted in my checking account. I have the rich rewards checking which I would recommend to everybody. I live in the Detroit area, so I should have known to check with them sooner. They have tons of locations everywhere and I can always find a nearby atm. They are a big bank, but it has a more small home town feel. They are a great bank for anybody in the area and if I had a question or problem with anything they are always available and can fix it quickly. Love this bank.…show more
I've been banking at Comerica for the last 28 years, starting when they were known as Detroit Bank and Trust. Other banks may have lower fees or longer hours, but Comerica has been dependable and reliable year after year and has never caused me any problems. And when I miscalculated years ago and incurred several overdraft fees in the course of one day, they waived three of them, saving me $100. I no longer have a checking account of my own with them, but my elderly house-bound mother does, and since I'm on the same account I still make deposits for her. The tellers have always been courteous and helpful no matter what branch I go to. All in all, I would recommend Comerica to anyone interested in switching banks.…show more
Comerica bank has been a relatively good bank for me. The application process was very basic and simple to fill out, only taking around ~10 minutes. I did encounter a few problems with customer service, they were friendly and everything but it took them a little bit longer than expected to fix my issue. On another note, I still very much enjoyed this bank and would go back here rather than start somewhere else. The customer service issue could have just been a mishap that one time, and that issue never occurred after that one time. I would recommend this bank to anyone that wants a decently friendly, easy application bank.…show more
Comerica is what most large banks are. Convenient, ever-present, with physical banking locations seemingly everywhere, ATMs in good, logical places and branch employees who are very friendly with big smiles. My biggest issues with them has nothing to do with the physical locations, actually, and mostly to do with the online banking aspect. For some reason they are not really on par with other major banks' websites, because while other unnamed major banks have websites that work with every browser with no problem, I find I am unable to easily navigate the website in some instances. Maybe it is just my version of firefox, but I have to switch to chrome to more easily navigate the site. This is a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things as I have had no problems with them otherwise, just a heads up that you might want to check the website out yourself thoroughly before opening an account if you do a lot of online banking.…show more
Comerica was the first bank I had ever used. My parents set up an account for me when I was a kid with Standard Federal Bank actually, and then Comerica eventually took it over and my account got converted over to them. I never once had a single issue with Comerica. Good interest rate and great customer service. They even had some branches in weird places like grocery stores that were open until 9pm and on Saturdays and Sundays too which was great for banking at non regular hours. For years with them I had legitimately free checking too without the need to set up a direct deposit, and they had online bill pay as well. The only reason I left Comerica bank was because they are only located in 5 different states, and I moved to a state where there are no branches. Without a physical branch, I couldn't deposit checks and I couldn't use the ATM regularly without getting fees. So I ended up switching after many many years with them. If I ever move back to Michigan, I'd definitely consider switching back to Comerica though!…show more
I've had a checking account with Comerica for about 15 years, and I have had few problems. Of course now I rarely WRITE a check!! The web bill pay feature is quite good, and it is quite secure. I made a mistake and Comerica did their best to help me out. I deposited a check from an investment account that did not have sufficient funds. It bounced. I had made several payments based on that money, but Comerica cancelled all but one of the overage charges. Then they helped me get my account back in the black and I appreciated that. I would recommend Comerica bank.…show more
I have been banking with Comerica for eight years. I have been a very satisfied customer. Customer service has usually been great. Out of the entire time I've been with Comerica, I can only recall a couple of phone calls I made to them where I was not really satisfied with my service. During one call the representative was unable to provide me with the information I needed and I ended up having to call again. On another occasion, it took a very long time to find out something I needed to know urgently and I needed something done that the bank was just unable to help me with. But other than that I have no complaints about them. I used to have a completely free checking account, but about a year or so ago that changed. Now I have to make a certain amount of transactions with my debit card or have direct deposit for my account to be free. It's fine though because I prefer to use my debit card than carry cash. Also, when it comes to problem resolution, they are quite reasonable. I had overdrawn on my account because I wasn't aware in the beginning that my account was no longer free because I hadn't been using the account much for about a year. So a service fee caused an overdraft, causing additional fees on fees. When I noticed this, the bank rep. reviewed my account, saw that I had been a long time customer that hadn't had this type of issue before, and she immediately removed all the fees. After that I began using the Comerica account frequently again. So I do recommend that you pay attention to statements because that is how they make you aware of any upcoming changes that are being made.…show more
