
Even when we did hear from the company about fault, we've received incompetence every step of the way. They messed up the reservation for the rental car, they had a lack of communication with the body shop we dropped the car off at to get inspected for the damages, they messed up the contract for the rental car, and they've typed information into their system incorrectly which has cost us countless hours of frustrating back-and-forths with their automated system and representatives until we finally reach who we apparently can only talk to. Everything is automated rather than having a specific claim handler to be in contact with the entire time. This has created nothing but confusion on State Farm's end and hassle for us. I have literally had to be on the phone with them for an hour or more every other day just to get all these kinks worked out and to ensure this claim even keeps moving forward - it's been over 2 months and still no settlement!
I cannot warn you, and anyone you may involve in an accident, to leave State Farm alone and find a company that has better service, systems, and standards. Having to deal with the drawbacks of accidents is bad enough without having to constantly hound them to do their job.
