I have been with Nationwide for a year and a half. I went to a local agent to sign up because I wanted a company that was in my area. The agent was friendly and very helpful. Although, I believe if I had not done my research before going in, I think I would have been taken. I have an older car and knew I did not need the same coverage I would need if it was a newer vehicle. I have only had to file one claim due to a cracked windshield and things went smoothly. They had someone out in a couple of days. Nationwide has been okay so far. I’m about to purchase a new vehicle and hopefully things will run smoothly. I inquired with my agent about changes in my policy with my upcoming purchase and he has been very helpful.
I have been with State Farm for 6 years. I have never had any major complaints with this company. I have gone through three windshields since being under this policy. Every time I had to file a claim the process went quickly and the agent called back and double checked that everything ran smoothly. I never had to pay anything. My insurance covered everything. Customer service has been outstanding. I did have an issue with a change in policy due to some NC issue that made my payments go up. I called customer service and they explained but I still did not agree. However, no complaints with the agents service and willingness to help.
BB&T has been a bank I could rely on for years. Recently, I wanted to find a card I could use for my gym membership. I do not like using my personal bank accounts because some gyms like to close unexpectedly. Many other prepaid cards I found charge fees to load money onto your card. Some 4.95 per load. However, with BB&T, the bank allows you to load money at their financial institution for free. There is a monthly charge of 10.00, which is one downside. You can transfer funds to and from other BB&T accounts. Furthermore, you can load funds where you shop by using the Visa ReadyLink reload network. If you don't have a checking account you can use the card for direct deposit of your check. BB&T has been very reliable over the years and I will continue to bank with them as long as service continues along the same path.
Recently, I have started saving for my future. I want to feel secure the older I get. My regular bank offers savings accounts and checking accounts. However, I felt I wasn't seeing my money grow. Therefore, I started searching for ways to grow my money. I searched the internet, and i came upon ING Bank. They offerred an incentive to sign up. Plus ,the interest rate for there savings account was .80%. I signed up instantly and I have not looked back. They encourage saving. One feature i love is that they have a blog where other account holders share ways that they save. It is a community of savers. I feel like ING Bank is putting me on the right track to saving for my future.
