I recently bought a house and used Laurie as my mortgage loan officer. She works for Bank of America and is stationed in Aiken, South Carolina. Laurie was kind and very professional throughout the entire process, got me great rates, and also made me feel like I was someone she had known for a lot longer. She helped me as a friend, not just as a loan officer. Im truly happy with the rates I got as well when compared to other banks. I would definitely recommend Laurie for anyone looking to purchase a home, she is a true professional, and can also get your great interest rates on your mortgage.
Overall I am very happy to be a customer with SCFCU. I have had no major problems since I've been a customer and any questions I've had they have been more than happy to work with me to answer them. The people here are also extremely knowledgeable and friendly. However, recently they have been changing some things around that I'm not the biggest fan of. I'm still a few years off, but they are now charging large fees for having under the minimum account balance, and I just never really feel comfortable with a bank that has a minimum account balance, let alone charges exorbitant fees for going under. They say that is only for people over 26 but I’ll be there in a couple years and will probably pull my money out before then if that’s still the case. However, still a great bank with great customer service. They've been nothing but great to me so far.
I was a previous account holder of an Electric Orange Checking Account through ING before they became part of Capital One. I was unsure at first about how things would be when they changed over, was everything going to be as simple? As easy? ING was great in my opinion but Capital One has answered the call and everything has been kept almost identical to when they had Electric Orange Checking, including the website and even the mobile application. The customer service representatives are also top notch, as they have easily (and nicely) taken me through even the slightest of problems or questions I've had. The interest rates are also about as good as you're going to get on a checking account. So if you're looking to open up an all online account or were a fan of the ING electric orange, the Capital One 360 is for you. It's simple, convenient, and not to mention free.
I first got this card when I got into college.I used it simply to try and get my credit score up buy using this card to buy certain things that I knew I would be able to easily pay off. Overall I have to say I am pleased with it, as far as what I wanted to do with it. I was able to buy several items and pay them off within 6 months to avoid all interest charges, which was nice. So I was able to improve my credit score and not have any problems with the card. However, if you want a credit card to do anything else with, such as get cash back, transfer money, or literally anything else under the sea besides buy things and pay them off, this is not the card for you. I'm aware it's a student credit card but the interest rates for everything besides purchases are very extravagant, and are not worth the trouble. So if you are a student looking to improve your credit score this is a good card for you, just be sure to pay off anything within 6 months and not use this card for anything other than that purpose.
I have been a Founders customer for several years now as it is my hometown credit union. The best part of Founders is the small town feel as it is a small town credit union. Their motto is “the member comes first” which is very consistent with their customer service and their approach towards customers. They truly seem to care about your satisfaction with the bank. I don’t particularly like paying to have a checking amount, or the fact that I can’t take anything out of the ATM smaller than a 20, but overall this is a great credit union with great checking and savings services. There is only a 5.00 minimum to open a savings account, which is nice as most banks have a much smaller minimum. The best part about the checking is the lack of monthly fee, similar to Wells Fargo, which is fantastic, as well as a free debit card. Overall a great bank with a home town feel.
I have had very good experiences since switching my insurance from State Farm to Geico. When I switched and saved a good bit of money, I was also expecting slightly lesser service. But, this was not the case at all with Geico. I had a car that hit me in a parking lot while I wasn't there and did not know what to do. So, I called one of their agents and they talked me through what to do step by step and the only thing I had to pay for was my deductible that was only $250. Which I might add was much less than what I had with State Farm. Within a week, my car was fixed and back to new thanks to Geico and their great pricing and customer service.
Citibank is a great bank with fantastic customer service. I have used Citibank for over 2 years now and am very pleased with their checking accounts. I have never had any major problems, and only 1 to 2 minor problems, which were easily resolved. The 24 hour call service is a great feature, its nice to know that whenever you need your bank there is always someone there ready to help you with anything at any time. They also have a great thank you and rewards program, they have a point system that lets you earn points for the purchases you make and then redeem them for anything from electronics to free travel and flight options. Overall, I great bank that I am very pleased with so far.
I have recently opened up an account at Bank of America, since my account is linked to my parents, and they recently switched banks from Wells Fargo to Bank of America. Overall, I would have to say I am very pleased so far. But, although the interest rates are better than Wells Fargo at .40% APY for 12 month CD's and IRA's, the rates are also only about half the rate of my other bank account with ING. Although, they make up for it with great customer service, and also the simplicity. They have great website as well as a great app, making transferring money from within your account or to another account a breeze. They also have over 17,000 ATM's throughout the United States, and their headquarters is in Charlotte, which is very convenient for me as I live in South Carolina and their ATM's are literally everywhere. Overall, a very solid bank.
I have recently opened up a new checking account online with ING, and I have to say, that so far I am more than pleased. The interest rates aren't great, but .25% for checking and .80% for savings are about the best rates you will find anywhere right now. The customer service is also top notch, as every time I have had even the slightest problem with my account or any question whatsoever, they have always been very personable and solved and answered anything I have asked. They also will give you a 50$ bonus just for making 3 purchases with your card within the first 45 days of opening your account, and I actually just recently had that money deposited into my account. Overall, I am very pleased with ING as an online bank, and would definately reccomend them to anyone looking to open an online checking or savings account. The only drawback is having to use Allpoint ATM's, but their system makes it very easy to find the closet one to you.
Overall, I would have to say that I am very pleased with my Wells Fargo account. They have great customer service that not only is friendly but they are also great at solving problems. Any time I have ever had the slightest problem with my account, no matter how small, they are always more than willing to help. The only thing that is not very satisfying with wells fargo is the interest rates. I currently have a checking and saving account with them, and the checking account accrues no interest while the savings only .25% APY. Even though I am pleased with them overall, I have also been notified that they are about to start charging for having a debit card through them, which I don't think is a very good idea or deal, since many other banks offer that service completely free of charge. But, overall, a very good, warm and friendly bank.
