State Farm was my very first insurance for auto. I only had State Farm for about a year. The reason I switched was that I had my FIRST accident, and they cancelled me. No questions asked. This was prior to Uninsured Motorist and Mandatory Insurance laws. The accident was not my fault and I was not ticketed. Another driver rear-ended my vehicle. She stated to police that she had a sleeping disorder and fell asleep. I was sitting at a traffic light and she hit me at about 50 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. Luckily neither of use were seriously injured. We both had cuts and bruises. I filed my claim complete with Police Report Number and all details. Within three days I get a letting saying my insurance is cancelled. I thought it was an error, so I called the agent. My Dodge Charger was 100% toast with a twisted A-Frame and a trunk in the back seat. State Farm refused to pay out anything and advised I should sue her medical insurance since she should not have been driving with her known condition (Advanced Sleep Apnea). They said the other driver had no auto insurance. Tragically, my vehicle was only worth a few hundred dollars and they claimed it was worth $0.00. As I recall, they returned a pro-rated portion of my last month's premium and closed the incident. I would never use State Farm for any reason. Maybe today the laws have made them a little more customer friendly, but I am still very bitter over the incident since I had to scrape up another $3K to get transportation and new insurance.
I have been a happy Allstate customer since I started driving at age 16. I was working part-time and still in high school and needed transportation of my own. Allstate was the only provider at that time that would cover me at a rate that didn't drive my father's rates through the roof. When I got married in 1999 I added additional coverage for our new house. Fourteen years of total satisfaction is what I have received from Allstate. Yes, premiums have continued to go up, but my agents have always come up with ways to cut those costs back down to size. Allstate makes insurance premiums more manageable with their monthly payment plan. This has been a big help in hard times. There have been a few minor differences of opinion along the way, but when that has happened the agents and the customer service reps are always very upfront and knowledgeable in explaining the whys and wherefores of the deal, so I have remained a loyal customer for nearly 37 years. I recently went online and got rate quotes for auto, house, and combination insurance coverage. I did this for my own peace of mind. I wanted to be sure that my loyalty to Allstate wasn't costing me more than it was worth. Not one single quote came back lower than Allstate. Yes, even the guys who claim they can save you 15% or more came back higher. In fact, I work for an automotive finance company that claimed it could save me $600 per year. They were unable to beat Allstate. Since they have long-demonstrated to me that they have the best rates and the best customer service I am looking forward to another 37 or so years of Allstate bliss.
This is the card my business assistants use to make company purchases. I control the amount that is available at any given time, and this gives me peace of mind since a third party is handling the card. We have had only one incident requiring customer service and found them to be pleasant and professional. There are trade-offs, such as the $9.95/month fee, but the security and accounting peace of mind is far off-set by that small fee. Considering what legal fees are and the growing problems of credit card fraud and employee theft, it is well worth it to me and my small business, which by the way, I built with no help from the government.
I have used First Tennessee Bank for over 20 years and have never had a clerical issue in that time. I feel that they have cutting edge technologies in place to ensure accuracy; but they also have some of the finest banking staff in the south on board. Yes, they are friendly and helpful, and I like that, but most important to me is the peace of mind. I never have to worry about a process problem. I cannot say that for all my banking experiences. I have checking and savings with them, I have had CD's before, I have had car loans and one home mortgage. There have never been ANY issues whatsoever. Thanks, First Tennessee!
I have been a checking account customer since 2001. The customer service dept. has responded to the few questions that have arisen, and fortunately, I have not had any issues with them. Customer service keeps convenient hours and they are extremely professional and dedicated to answering my questions and solving my problems. I recently had a contractor bounce a check on me and it cost me $200 in returned fees. When I explained the situation they waived the fees. The bank manager at my branch has taken her own time to notarize paperwork for me. When I go into the branch I feel like a valued customer. When I call the toll-free customer service number I feel like a valued customer. I have never been treated poorly nor have I been dis-satisfied with SunTrust Bank. I rate then FIVE stars across the board because of the level of excellence I have witnessed first-hand as a customer.
