I had the pleasure and the honor of working with Tanzy & Borrego when I had to file for bankruptcy on behalf of my father. They were exceptionally patient with me and took the time to explain every possible detail and how it would affect my father and his finances, and what I would have to do as his agent in regards to his bankruptcy. The staff even made it their goal to make my father and I as comfortable as possible and were also ready to answer any questions we might have had while we had waited. It would be an incredible understatement to say that Tanzy & Borrego were thorough when it came to our paperwork. They made certain to cover everything. I definitely recommend them for anyone in need of quality bankruptcy lawyers in the El Paso area.
When I was living in San Diego, I had one of my first experiences with a credit union with Mission Federal. I had experience with banks, both good and bad, but I decided that it was time to try joining a credit union. At the time I was still building my credit up, and they were absolutely wonderful with both customer service and advice on exactly what I would need to do. In addition to the kindness and care they showed me, they were also very personable, and I honestly was surprised as I never expected that kind of treatment. I am genuinely glad that I had joined, and even happier to have left on very good terms.
These days it is absolutely important to make sure you are insured with comprehensive coverage to safeguard against those incidents that life likes to throw your way. My mother has, for a long time, had several providers that have ranged from decent to terrible. Having taken over the responsibility of her finances, I have had to deal with several. But JDW has been incredible. Not only are the rates competitive, but they also have very extensive coverage plans. If I ever have a question or an issue that needs to be addressed, the agent is always prompt to return phone calls and answers those questions. We have both been very happy with the service provided by JDW.
My grandparents have lived in El Paso for the majority of their lives. I thought that having a local provider would increase the level of trust and courtesy we would experience as customers. But when I moved back and took over handling their finances and such, I found that the opposite was true. In my dealings with Loya Insurance, I have always come away unsatisfied and insulted. The premium was beyond inadequate, and their customer service was appalling. They have been irresponsible and worst of all has been the blatant refusal to own up to the mistakes they have made on several occasions. Thankfully, I was recently able to switch providers, and they are all the better for it.
In handling the finances for my grandparents, I had dealt with their previous home insurance provider a number of times and was disappointed with the quality of their service each time. It took some doing, but I managed to find the Home Insurance Agency and got them better service and more reasonable payment terms. So far they have done an exceptional job, the agent that I speak to regularly has proven to be courteous and has been willing to go the extra mile for us. So far it is definitely a decision none of us regrets, and now I can rest easier knowing their home is protected.
When my wife and I got our house we wanted to make sure we had the right insurance for it, but were left severely dissatisfied with our last insurance provider. A friend of ours had mentioned Casa to us one night while at a friend's house. We liked what we had heard and went in the next day. We were both surprised by the level of service that they showed us. We both also found the pricing on the premium to be exactly in the range we had hoped for. The agent that helped us was incredibly professional and courteous and took the time to explain every possible detail. Needless to say, we're happy with our choice, and now owe our friend a big thanks.
I only had a brief experience with Coronado First, but that one experience was horrible enough. I had only barely opened an account with them when I had an unforeseeable incident of fraudulent charges on my account. Rather than help me resolve the issue, I was instead offered no help by the tellers or staff, and none from customer service when I called in. After weeks of discussions and reviews and waiting for a resolution, I finally got one. But by that time, I had already made the conscious decision to close my account and try elsewhere. I sincerely hope that since that time, they have gotten their act together for the sake of their customers.
I had nothing less than a very positive experience with this bank. The service was beyond exceptional, the tellers worked quickly while still maintaining a good rapport with the customers that went in. I had applied for a personal loan with them, and I can say the rates they have are very competitive and it also made my decision to apply for a loan with them that much easier. There are so many good things I can say about the staff, from the customer service to the bank manager, they were all amazingly friendly. One of the better decisions I'd made was deciding to bank with Borrego Springs.
During my brief stay in San Antonio I remember this bank being one among a select few that were the epitome of the word quality. When I opened the account, at the time I didn't really need much and wasn't really expecting much. It was a small savings account and I was ready to just deal with a bank with tellers who didn't treat you like anything more than customers. I was wrong, and they were so willing to work with me and treated me with the utmost courtesy. In all honesty I really couldn't have asked for a better bank to work with and deal with my money.
When I was living in San Diego I had an account with the Bank of Southern California. With every visit the employees seemed to get friendlier, taking the time to really make me feel welcome. They always had incredible rates and made sure to keep you apprised of any changes to the account or to their policies. It was that extra mile that always impressed me, most banks these days don't really do that. I can't even really comment on the downsides because they were few and far between, and even then they were so minor they should only really be considered nitpicks and not major drawbacks. The only reason I closed the account was the move to another city and state that had no branch, but otherwise I really felt great banking with them.
My wife and I have done our absolute best to ensure that our debt is always kept at a minimum. We pay our balances on time, keeping them low, there are no outstanding loans, and our credit score is good. So, why then did we have to literally jump through hoops when all we were trying to do was get a loan for our home with Bank 1st? We went through several months of paperwork, e-mails, discussions with employees and managers at Bank 1st, and still nothing was accomplished. They had approved us several times, just to ask us for more paperwork. It was beyond ridiculous. Finally we were both just fed up and decided not to even bother with them anymore.
My mother had an account with a different bank prior to opening one with First Citizens bank & Trust, but then fees were being charged to her account without any real explanation. Once the initial headache with that was over, she decided to close the account and open one with First Citizens Bank & Trust, keeping it her small independent account, which she enjoyed having as they treated her very well there. When I took over handling her finances, I also took note of how great the service was. Each teller knew her on a first name basis, and made the same effort with me, and were more than ready to help me out. Every transaction that was made with them up until the account was closed was painless and wonderful. They really know how to treat people.
The experiences I have had with Swantner & Gordon have been exceptionally positive. My grandmother wanted to be certain that her family, her loved ones, wouldn't be hit with unnecessary and expensive costs in the event of her passing. So together we both got in contact with Swantner & Gordon to find a suitable life insurance policy that she would be comfortable with. We were both satisfied with how kind and patient they were, it was abundantly clear that they were knowledgeable and they took the time to explain things well. It is one less thing that either of us has to worry about now and she is free to enjoy her remaining time. All of which is thanks to Swantner & Gordon.
My mother was referred to Town & Country Insurance by a family friend a while back; they had a great coverage plan and were generally happy. It was convenient and the liability rates were the cheapest either of us had seen. But when I took over as her primary agent, the transition wasn't smooth at all. Normally their customer service had been great, but during this period they were mostly rude and a tad on the unfriendly side. Before then there were no problems to really speak of, so I'm not quite sure why they cropped up after I took over, but the experience was definitely soured as a result.
During our brief time with the United Bank of El Paso del Norte, we discovered that it was a genuinely wonderful place to do our banking. Their staff is phenomenal at what they do and were ready to assist my wife and I with any situation. We chose to do our banking with them initially because a few of my family members had accounts with them as well and they came highly recommended. Our overall experience was very positive and we were so happy. The one downside was the location of their branches. At the time it wasn't convenient for us, so we decided to close our accounts and bank elsewhere. Regardless, for their amazing service I recommend them.
My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about Rocky Mountain Mortgage. Since we decided to settle in El Paso, they were instrumental in making that transition as easy and comfortable as possible. Getting our home loan with them was one of the best decisions we've made. The representative who helped us was absolutely great, even going above and beyond by answering any questions we had regardless of whether it was a weekend or a weekday. The whole process was smooth and there were absolutely no issues. The whole entire staff was understanding and helpful through the process, and we have never been happier.
Western Alliance Bank was a good short term commitment for my wife and I during our time in Arizona. We had a relatively unimportant savings account with them and that was about it. The bank itself was decent, nothing really stood out as separating it from the countless other banks in the Phoenix area. One thing I will say is that at times their staff and their ATM machines were very undependable. On several occasions I had tried to withdraw money from the ATM, only to find that the money was depleted. I'm not sure how frequently ATM's are checked, but it definitely seemed like something the staff should have been aware of. It wasn't a bad experience banking with them, but it wasn't really that good either.
During our time in Arizona, my wife and I had an account with Arizona Bank & Trust, and we both honestly remember them fondly as we were both genuinely satisfied with the overall quality of service that we received. When we were first opening the account, the employee that helped us explained everything clearly and detailed exactly what we could expect from them. Unlike some other banks and even credit unions that we had experience with, they never once tried to hit us with any unexpected fees or charges. The rates on loans were relatively low, and as a result we wanted to take out an auto loan, but ultimately decided it wasn't right for us at the time. The only real gripe I had with them was at the time the ATM machines they had seemed a bit outdated and a little finicky. But this was definitely one of the better banking experiences we had.
I had nothing but good experiences with U.S. Bank when I had my account with them. The employees are always friendly and they have some pretty decent rates on loans. I had opened the account with them long ago, but honestly can't recall a single negative experience with them that wasn't solved rapidly. The employees are some of the friendliest and very cheerful representatives I have ever had the pleasure of talking to, very helpful and courteous individuals who always seemed to have my very best interest in mind. I can safely say that it is definitely a wonderful place to bank.
When my wife and I lived in Las Cruces, we had everything planned out. The one thing that we couldn't plan for or even expect was the immeasurable level of incompetence that we experience with this bank. We honestly should have seen it coming based on how quickly the sign up and application process went. Most people would say that speedy application processes are a good thing, well not when they don't give you all the details and their follow up is beyond lacking. The tellers there were almost always, consecutively rude to both of us. The bank manager was rude with us when we tried to explain that the tellers were rude with us. We decided to not waste any more time and just close the account and take out business elsewhere.
I had an account with Chevron Federal Credit Union for a while and it was surprisingly good experience. One of the main reasons that I was pleasantly surprised was how good the interest rate was. I had no problems with any of the staff as they had all been really great and had taken the time to really make me feel like I was genuinely welcome. Another thing I found wonderful was how simple the online payment procedure was, a feature that I really haven't found with any other bank or credit union. All in all it was an excellent credit union with fantastic service, and you can't go wrong with that.
Wirtz Insurance provided my wife and I one of the most pleasant experiences we will probably ever have with an insurance agency. The customer service was always fantastic, we didn't really have need to contact them often, but when we did we were treated well and whatever issue we may have had was usually dealt with. Although it wasn't always done in the timeliest manner, our issues were still resolved just the same. After a while we did feel that the insurance policy we had with them was a tad on the expensive side. So we decided to try and find a more affordable policy with another insurance provider.
We had a vehicle insured through Mission Duncan for a while, and through a few minor accidents. Each time they have responded quickly and in a genuinely caring manner. Whenever we had questions and they couldn't respond right away, they would get back to us as soon as possible showing how punctual and polite they were. It was amazing customer service. The rates on the other hand were a little high, and possibly the principle reason my wife and I decided not to continue insuring our vehicles with them. Still, if pricing isn't an issue for you, they are among the best and nicest to deal with.
My grandfather has had his cars insured with USAA for years now. To him, they were a great insurance provider that he had built a rapport with. When I took over as his agent, I began dealing with them personally. I can say without a doubt he was right. They have had surprisingly low rates for the longest time, and impeccable customer service. During the transition they assisted me as much as possible and in a very friendly way. Needless to say I was quite pleased with the overall service they have provided both us. He has had a few accidents in his time, and each time the claims were handled in a very timely manner. I will happily say with no hesitation USAA is among the best around.
When we had initially signed on with CNA, we had just come out rather dissatisfied with our previous insurance company. A friend of ours had actually told us a great deal about CNA, and that was one of the reasons we decided to try our luck with them. When we called, were impressed with the level of professionalism and courtesy the agent we spoke to displayed. WE stayed with CNA for a while, and while they are a good provider, we became somewhat dissatisfied with the yearly increase in our health insurance premium; it was quickly getting too expensive. The service, and the knowledgeable and friendly representatives were good, but the price was too much. But if you find it to be within your price range, I do recommend them if for nothing else than the service.
We had initially chosen TWFG Insurance because the rates seemed good, and they handled claims quickly. But that changed quickly when we had a bit of a rough spot financially. We had asked for an extension of a few days in order to make a payment and were quickly denied. The agent we spoke to was rude and treated us as if had asked him to fore-go all payments and give us free coverage. I also have to mention that the original quote was relatively low, but when we actually started with our policy, there were a couple of new charges to the premium that were never mentioned and glossed over when we inquired about them. Needless to say we were happy to get out of our business with TWFG.
These days, and in most states, almost everything needs to be insured. While it is understandable and reasonable, it can be a pain as you're constantly shopping around and at times switching. Good and courteous customer service is usually lacking during these times but on occasion you will find a company that will have a balance between service and customer satisfaction. Avalon Insurance is one such company. The rates were good, and remained competitive while we were with them. When we had an issue that needed addressing, we always managed to speak to a person instead of a machine, and our issues were almost always resolved. Avalon was a great provider, and I highly recommend them.
Cielo Vista Insurance has offered my mother incredibly flexible healthcare coverage. As her appointed agent, she trusted me to handle affairs such as these. The many representatives at Cielo Vista that I have spoken with have been amazingly kind and surprisingly attentive to the needs healthcare coverage should satisfy, They offer a wide variety of plans, and have also been extremely helpful in breaking down the various aspects of each coverage plan for me so I could better understand and help my mother make a better and informed choice. Cielo Vista understands the needs of their customers and for me that makes them a tremendous provider that I will gladly and happily recommend to anyone in the greater El Paso area.
When my father asked me for help in finding a life insurance provider it took me by surprise. Needless to say at first I was a little shaken, but then I realized that he just wanted to ensure we would be taken care of in the event of anything unfortunate happening. My wife and I tried a number of places in conjunction with my father. Finally we managed to find our way to Stateline Insurance. The representative we spoke to was incredibly helpful in helping me help my father understand all the little odds and ends of life insurance coverage. It was refreshing to have someone be that courteous and understanding, and even a little compassionate. With their help we were able to choose a suitable term life policy to cover any foreseeable expenses that could arise with his passing. I can honestly say I would have been lost through the process if it wasn't for the kind and informative representative.
We had a terrible customer service experience with Valley Insurance, in our opinion they are solid providers, but they definitely need to train their representatives and agents better. We had an issue that we need to address regarding the premium of our coverage for our car at the time. We were placed on hold for nearly half an hour, and finally after that long wait we briefly spoke to a representative who had instructed us to call back. We explained the situation and stated that we wanted to get the situation sorted out now, but to no avail. The call was ended with nothing being resolved. Our only option was to call back, and after another lengthy wait we managed to speak with a rep and finally a supervisor. But as if they were trained to act rudely, we were given the cold shoulder and the supervisor refused to say anything other than the usual platitudes. At that point we had enough. We have no doubt that Valley Insurance is a good provider with good rates, but their customer service is beyond laughable and frustrating.
My wife and I briefly had an account with Arizona Federal Credit Union and it was an unbelievably terrible experience. We had a serious issue with them allowing unauthorized transactions on our account. When we had called to have them addressed, the customer service representative was beyond rude. He had taken his time, never gave us his name, and instructed us to call back before ending the call. So our account sat overdraft and collecting more fees as items we had authorized before the incident had begun clearing. It took them a lot more time than it should have to resolve the issue forcing us to pay to fix mistakes that weren't ours. This is definitely a credit union that does not know how to conduct itself. We promptly closed our accounts and took our business elsewhere after that fiasco.
During our time in Arizona, my wife and I had an account with Desert Schools. We stayed with them for a while because of how incredible they had made the experience of personal banking. The service was amazing, and the products and benefits to having an account with them were beyond words and varied. Loans were significantly easier to get, they offered the means to assist and educate members, and their interest rates were far more reasonable than we expected. It was the very definition of a credit union that put its members first. For anyone in the greater Phoenix area and Scottsdale, I recommend Desert Schools.
When my wife and I used to live in Arizona we had a checking account with BBVA and were beyond satisfied. At the time we had just switched from an accredited credit union to this bank and we weren't quite sure if it would meet our expectations. But my wife and I were proven wrong. BBVA was a great financial institution that knew how to treat its customers with courtesy, care, and respect. In those rare occurrences when we would have an issue, BBVA's staff was completely forthcoming with regards to information, and that made reconciling so much easier and faster. Although we no longer have an account with them, we highly recommend them as bank people can trust.
My grandparents used to have coverage with IBC Insurance. But after a particularly bad experience we decided it would be best for all parties if we sought insurance elsewhere. During one call I had kindly requested to speak to the representative's supervisor because they were giving me nothing but the same circular explanation as to why my grandmother's prescription costs weren't being covered. I was then informed that I wouldn't be able to talk to his supervisor because of my attitude, which I found to be ridiculous because up to that point I had been as courteous as possible. The whole ordeal left a sour taste in our mouths and we decided to find coverage elsewhere. If you are thinking of getting coverage through IBC, I would advise you to be careful with their CS representatives.
You can't ever truly predict how good or how bad your insurance is until it's needed. There are always general ideas and opinions, but it's rare that insurance companies are ever what they say they are. Progressive, at one point, was really good to my wife and I. They had managed to save us a couple hundred dollars annually. But unfortunately, we had an unfortunate accident. Our vehicle was completely totaled. They put us through the ringer, making the claim process needlessly long and drawn out. The customer service representative that we were in contact with was treating us as if we were inconveniencing her. It was enough to frustrate us to the point that we decided to cancel with them. We are happier now with our current provider and will never look back.
My family had been with White Sands for a good while, and then when I became the agent for my grandparents, I decided it was time to close up shop with them. For about six years my grandparents had an account with White Sands with no problems at all. It was actually preferable to dealing with most banks and other financial institutions. They had offered so much, from mortgages and credit cards to incredibly low rates. Their customer service was always impeccable as well. Every time I had gone in, I was treated well; they were both polite and well-trained. Their website had always been easy to use and convenient for online banking. So why didn't I continue with them? A matter of convenience, the branch that was nearest to where my wife and I live wasn't really that close. But I do highly recommend them all the same.
Golden Key was a quality credit union, and locally based here in El Paso. There were never any problems with them that weren't resolved quickly, thanks to how well-trained and polite their staff was. We had financed a vehicle through them, and we were pleasantly surprised with how responsible and personable they genuinely seemed during the entirety of that time. They took the time to go over every possible detail while we were there and made sure that every thing was covered and understood. They were truly as great credit union, however, there were times we had a few messy issues with them, but as I said it was always worked out in the end for us.
Deciding on a credit union is a process that you would want to take seriously, as no two credit unions are the same. Some are good, others are downright terrible, and the rest are just mediocre. Mountain Star isn't a bad credit union by any means, but they don't really stand out as a good one either. Their customer service isn't what it should be for a small, local credit union. The staff is at times unfriendly, but mostly just distant. You are treated as a just customer and they make no extra effort to make you feel like anything more. For being local, they have several features that are on par with most other credit unions and banks, ranging from free checking to online account access, but the difference there is that most other credit unions and banks make you feel like part of the family. If you're looking for a decent credit union, Mountain Star will fulfill that need, but don't expect to be anymore than a face in the crowd.
The unique thing about this particular credit union is that the tellers and the staff make it a point to know you as more than just a checking or a savings account. They're all friendly and take the time to greet you by name when you go in. Everyone there is ready and capable to answer any and all account related questions and handle your money quickly and efficiently. I have had an auto loan with them, savings accounts, and a checking account. When I had issues, I would call in and have the problem resolved in no time at all. It genuinely felt like all the employees enjoyed their jobs and enjoyed helping customers with their respective issues. While I am no longer with them, I highly recommend them.
My grandfather has been a member of this credit union for years. When I took over the managing of his accounts and finances through power of attorney, I thought I would have a hard time dealing with the credit union and the staff, but it was quite the contrary. The staff has been friendly and welcoming, and always does their best to ensure your experience with them is as stress free as possible, there are times though that customer service can be a bit slow. There was one incident with an unauthorized withdrawal, but it was resolved quickly and the fees were returned without negatively impacting the account. Thankfully most of your banking needs can be handled without really needing to set foot in a branch location thanks to their easy to navigate and easy to use online banking. All in all the experience has been a pleasant one and all signs point to it remaining that way.
