I have had a State Farm Homeowner's policy since 2011. The reason I went with this company was that I always carried a renter’s insurance policy with State Farm and was extremely happy with their service and coverage. I have rottweilers and State Farm was the only insurance company not to discriminate against me because of the type of breed I owned. If you have a large breed dog or one that has a bad reputation, you may not be insurable. My dogs have never attacked another animal or a human, but are considered high risk. Thank you State Farm for providing coverage for everyone.
I have been an Esurance policy holder for about five years. I could have purchased insurance with any other provider, as my record is spotless. I was able to quickly and easily get quotes using a few different parameters. I was able to easily check the pricing for low vs high deductibles. I was also happy to find quotes for higher and lower levels of coverage. Their prices were consistently lower than other providers. I periodically check my coverage against other companies and have found Esurance to be completely competitive. Now that Esurance is a division of Allstate, I feel even more secure knowing that I am protected by a company with a great reputation. I have never had to file a claim, so I can't speak to that, however, whenever I've had questions about my coverage, the answers have been prompt and courteous. I would have no qualms about referring clients to Esurance.
I began using US Bank about six years ago. I started using them because their locations were very convenient to my new home address and they offered free checking. Everyone working at US Bank is very friendly and helpful; however, my free checking account now has a monthly fee, which really bugs me. I hate monthly fees! My employer doesn't offer automatic deposits, so there is no way for me to avoid these fees unless I suddenly have the money to carry a minimum balance (not likely). I love that I can easily find a branch location or one located within a grocery store. The tellers are always anxious to help me find new ways to save money and I always get great customer service.
I didnât choose this bank, it was thrust upon me. I was a Washington Mutual customer with a checking account, savings account, car loan and credit card. When my bank was gobbled up by Chase, our economy was in the midst of a major meltdown. Chase was a solid name in the industry, so I didnât have too many worries when they took over. I didnât close my account like so many did. I stayed and was rewarded with a slow trickle of nickel & dime tactics. The ATM fees showed up, my checking account fee was raised and then, much to my horror, my credit card APR doubled! They just about killed me. When I called to try to get some relief, they said there was nothing they could do. Right.
