I went to Park Community for a car loan. When I went to apply the guy who helped me was very friendly. He told me every detail about the loan and then some. Naturally I had tons of questions and he very patiently answered them all for me. I was actually very surprised how long it took to get a response. 3 days. I think it was the longest three days I had to wait for my first car though. When he called me back with my approval, I think he was just as excited as I was! All in all I don't think I will go to any other place for a loan. Next step - house.
I borrowed money for a car loan through centra. The application process was very simple and I was in and out of the branch in less than an hour. They explained everything in such great detail. What my interest rate was, how much I would pay for monthly payments, how long it would take to pay back, and how much I would ultimately end up paying in interest alone. They also have a system where if you pay more than your monthly payment, it comes straight off the principle. That's always nice because my payments ended up being $95 a month and I paid $150 a month so my loan ended up taking 3 years instead of 4. That was more money for me in the end. It also boosts your credit since Centra reports to the credit bureau.
Geico is one of the best insurance companies I have ever used. They are always courteous and kind. Their policies are some of the best in the country. I got in an accident a few years back and the claims process was so easy, it was unbelievable. The amount of money I paid for the amount of insurance was very reasonable. I paid for a full six months and saved even more money. After I got in my wreck, I was very happy to see my rate didn't sky rocket. That's one of the best things they offered me. The thing that hooked me, if I can be completely honest, is the little gecko in the commercial. He is just so cute!
I switched from this bank to another after several years because my account had been hacked twice. Not once, twice. When I tried to ask them when they were going to recover my money, they just waived me off. I finally had to go into the main office and demand my money be turned over at once since I had bills to pay. The clerk at the front desk assured me that it would be in my account within ten days. A couple days later I was credited with the money. A few months after that, I was hacked again and I decided it was time to switch banks.
I have never had any problems with Fifth Third. They have always been a bank I can count on. I have banked with them for years. Make sure you sign up for over draft protection though because if you don't they have fees that just keep adding and adding until you put money into your account. Every day tacks on another fee until it is all paid off. However sometimes, they can waive a fee if it is under $5. They have done this for me twice now. The staff is always nice and smiling when you walk in the front doors. They are always friendly and do what they can to help you out. I once brought in tons of change and the girl helped me sort and roll it.
I have had Chase since I was 17. They are nice and have a speedy response time. I have had some problems with overdraft fees that they charged me but I didn't overdraw my account. They took care of it for me and credited my account. The application process is so long though.
