I have had Progressive Car insurance for the past 4 years. I have had no problem with them at all over the course of our relationship. I have had a fair rate that hasn't changed at all. They have a very easy billing system that was reliable (no "missed" payments that resulted in late fees/charges). I've never had to file a claim with them; knock on wood, so I'm not sure how that would actually go. I often receive offers from other companies asking me to switch and Progressive has always been willing to give me competitive rates with other companies because of my driving record.
I have a mortgage through BoA and the process itself went very smooth. Everyone was very friendly helpful through out the process. I had one loan officer who would call me from his cell phone and that was nice not to see a bunch of strange numbers coming up from my caller ID. It also made it nice to be able to get a hold of him almost at any time to answer all of my (sometimes silly) questions. The only complaint I would have is that there are not many physical brick and mortar branches in my particular area. I had to drive 1 hour round trip a few times to physically sign something, or have something faxed. Minor things really. Buying a second home was less stressful thanks to BoA.
I just switched to Bank of America after switching to a new job and my current employer uses BoA so I switched as well. Overall, I'd say that I'm very happy with the switch. They were very helpful in setting up all of my auto-billing information and I got a pretty good rate on the balance transfer from my credit cards. It's great since my employer uses them they are able to process my pay checks much faster. They also had a representative sit down with me, go over my credit score and pre-approve me for any sort of auto loans, and went over my options as far as a mortgages were concerned. It was nice to get some face time with a person at the bank.
Overall Wells Fargo is a very suitable bank. I feel as though they have never done anything great to foster loyalty, but they haven't done anything to drive me away. My only complaint is regarding my checking account. I had over drawn my account by a total of 4 dollars, I ended up being assessed about 70 dollars in fees. I felt this was a little much for an honest mistake. I called and complained and they eventually reimbursed me for the fees.
