Christine was an amazing person to work with. She really took the time to help me understand the loan process and all the options available to me. She explained how credit score impacts the interest rate and if I wanted to get a better interest rate, how to go about doing so. She walked me through the process step by step and was always patient with me. Even when I felt completely overwhelmed and not sure what to do. She was always pleasant with a smile on her face. If i ever need another mortgage loan, or loan in general, I will definitely be using her again!
What I really like about the Fred Meyer credit card is the rewards you get. 1 point per $1 spent is pretty great but getting 2 points on every dollar spent at Fred Meyer stores is even better. I currently have a Best Buy Capital One card that offers 2% cash back anywhere and 5% cash back on all Best Buy purchases which seems pretty equivalent to the Fred Meyer card. What I am not thrilled about is the $35 late fee. I have actually been charged a $35 late fee on one of my credit cards when I was "late" and I was pretty livid. I had actually paid the bill but their system didn't recognize it until 2 days later!
I have used American 1 Credit Union 4 times for personal loans. My credit is not perfect and they always seem to work with me and make sure I get the help that I need. The rates are pretty decent and the application process is simple and fast. I have never had to wait more than 3 days for a response on my loan and have always gotten approved. There is no penalty for paying your loan off early, which is really important to me. The customer service has always been outstanding. Any time I need a personal loan I call them up and get what I need.
When I bought my very first house, I chose State Farm insurance as my home insurance provider. I had heard a lot of good things about them. They had actually the cheapest premium for me too. Customer service was extremely helpful considering this was my first time getting insurance on a house. They went through every step, in detail, and gave me a wonderful price. I was with them for over 5 years and never had an issue. Luckily, I never had to file a claim with them, but I can only imagine that the customer service would have been excellent. I am currently renting so I have no need for home owners insurance, but once I do, I will go back to them again.
A few years ago, I used Jackson Community Federal Credit Union to get a home equity loan. I have had nothing but a great experience with them. They have wonderful staff, helpful and knowledgeable. I was nervous about getting the loan but they took the time to sit me down and walk me through each detail and step that I would go through to be sure it was within my budget and that I could always make my payments. I felt like their customers mean something to them. They take the time to really make the customer feel at ease and comfortable. I really appreciated that. I will use them again if needed.
I got my car insurance online through 21st century. My mom had used them for quite some time and they were great to her. I was in an accident about 3 weeks after getting my insurance and when I went to file a claim, they said they had NO RECORD of me in their system. They looked up my name, social security number and my cars VIN and still nothing. I had to have my bank fax them records showing they took money out of my account and I had to fax them the confirmation email I received from them. After 5 weeks, they finally approved my claim. It then took another 3 weeks to get them to pay to have my car fixed!! 21st Century will never come into my mind again when I am looking for insurance.
I was a sophomore in college and I had fallen on some tough times. I was working 2 jobs and going to school full time and had a car issue. I went to PNC for a personal loan to help get my car fixed and they were great, genuine people. They helped me every step of the way, explained everything to me and never acted bothered or annoyed when I asked a question. I was approved for my loan almost instantly and I had a check in 2 days to get my car fixed. If it wasn't for them, I would have lost my jobs and not been able to pay for my schooling. I paid the loan off quickly, as there was no penalty for early pay off. PNC is an outstanding bank and I would use them again in a heartbeat.
Progressive was my very first car insurance company over 10 years ago. They have the best rates around for new drivers. It was the cheapest price for the most coverage. When you are a new driver, companies have a tendency to charge a bit more since you really have no driving record. Progressive seems to be a lot more fair in terms of pricing. As I got older, I found a better policy elsewhere so I have since switched, but they were a wonderful company while I had them. I never had to wait on hold for more than a minute. I was able to make my payment in a few different ways and if I was late, they didn't hassle me. Great company to do business with.
When I first moved to Jackson, I opened up a checking account with EECU because every person at my job used them. I came to find out, they have impeccable customer service and they are quick to get you an answer when you have a question. I was never charged a fee for my checking account and nowadays, that's hard to find. Opening the account was easy and I had my direct deposit in there right at midnight on Thursday nights / Friday mornings. The ONLY reason I gave them an overall score of 4 stars is because they don't have a lot of locations to choose from. It's hard to find an ATM when I need cash quickly and I get tired of paying the ATM fee to use another banks ATM. Other than that, they are wonderful!!!
I recently purchased a new car and went through CP Federal Credit Union to get my loan. The customer service reps were extremely helpful in the way they laid out the loan for me. They made sure to explain to me how the interest rate worked, how much was being paid on the principle, etc. The one and only thing I didn't like was the fact that it took a long time to get the approval. I thought maybe it was just me, but apparently it is like that for everyone. It was fine though because their interest rates were the best around. Overall, I am very pleased and would do business with them again.
I have been with TLC Federal Credit Union for over 5 years. The main thing I absolutely love about it is FREE checking. Completely free with no stipulations. I have never had any problems that customer service didn't handle right away and were generous and respectful while helping me. The only thing I wish is that they had more offices throughout the US, but I don't really travel enough to want to switch. My direct deposit is always available at midnight of my payday which is really nice. I am quite pleased with the customer service and the checking account itself. I don't see switching any time in the near future.
This card is great. I have always had a Citibank card, but I think I like this one the best because it was the first card I have had that offered a reward for spending money I was already going to spend. They actually gave me the $100 pretty quickly. I would assume that it would not come until after the 3 month period. I got it after a month. I also love the customer service I have with Citibank. They are always so polite and professional. I never have to ask a question more than once, which is nice. This is probably the best card and company out there. My mother even switched and she loves it too. Great company, great card, great service.
I had started traveling a LOT for work. I wanted a credit card that would give me miles so I could take my family to the places I have been traveling too and the cost not be so high. What I likes was the 2 miles to 1 dollar ratio AND for the first 2 years you get 1000 miles just for using your card! I was pretty stoked when I was able to use 25000 miles that I didn't actually have to do anything for. I always use my credit card so it was like an added bonus. Customer service is pretty outstanding, too. I had an issue with my card being declined once and when I called to find out why, they were prompt, honest and said it was an error in their system and would be fixed right away. Pretty amazing company! Glad I went with them.
I own my house now, but when I was renting, I used Geico to get my renters insurance. What actually made me call Geico to begin with was the commercials (believe it or not haha). After doing a few comparisons, they were the best option. There were a couple of insurance companies that were actually lower in premium price BUT Geico had better coverage and made the extra cost worth it. The customer service is outstanding. I have never had to wait more than a minute or two when calling, which is pretty amazing these days. Rates are reasonable, coverage is better than average and customer service is out of this world. I would recommend them to anyone for rental insurance.
I have had pretty terrible credit for awhile and someone told me to try this card to rebuild it. I was shocked that the deposit was so low and they still gave me their own "line of credit" on top of it. 2 months after making my payments, it had already upped my credit score. The only issue I have run into is I had to verify my bank account twice since my husband got the same card and we used our joint checking account to sign up. It really wasn't a big deal, but I wanted to be sure that people know to expect that if you and your spouse use the same account to get the card. Very happy that I chose this card and glad to see it is doing what it is supposed to do so quickly.
Allstate has been one of the best insurance companies I have ever worked with. The customer service is at the top of my list. I have never been on hold for more than a minute or two when calling. Whenever I have an issue or a question, they have an answer or solution for me right away. I have been with them for about 6 years. They have amazing rates and no one could even come close to beating their premiums. They come out once a year and take pictures of the property to make sure nothing has changed and they actually call me once every few months to make sure I am still satisfied. I honestly have nothing bad to say about them. My experience has been great.
I have been with Benefit Quest car insurance for a long time and have been very happy with my service. The insurance agents are always so nice. I got into an accident last year and my car was totaled. Benefit Quest got me a check for a new car in under a week and gave me a rental car so I could get around. I have nothing bad to say about them and would tell everyone to get a quote from them and see how much they could save on insurance. They are a top notch insurance company and I would never switch.
I went to Univest Bank and Trust Co. to get a personal loan to fix up my house a little bit. I was able to apply for a loan real quick and easy. I heard back from them the next day and they approved my loan! I am so happy that I am going to be able to do what I wanted to my house. It is hard to believe it only took one day to check my credit and everything but I am happy with their speed. I am supposed to get my money within a week which is great news for me.
I had been searching around banks looking for a good car loan. It was my first time ever needing a loan for a car so I was a complete amateur. I went to Bank of America and honestly, I was shocked they had the best rates in my area. I have pretty good credit so I did have some pretty awesome interest rates at most places but Bank of America's staff was what made my decision easy. They were so eager to help me and continued to be that way until now. I only have a few payments left on my car and whenever I go make a payment they reassure me that I can always come back for another loan if needed. I had an issue ONE time where I was a couple of days late on a payment and they didn't even hassle me. I went in to make the payment and commented on the fact they weren't harassing me yet and they said they knew I'd be in eventually. Great experience with them and will go back again if the need arises.
I was looking for a personal loan for a few home improvements that I needed to make. My bank has a terrible interest rate on personal loans so I did some shopping around and Bank of America was the best in my area. It was only a $5,000 loan so it was going to be paid off quickly and Bank of America was the only bank that would even consider loaning me such a small amount. The only issues I had were with the application and some issues I had when I made my first payment. The application was a bit confusing and I actually had to talk to the bank manager about a few things on the app that didn't make sense. I think of myself as rather competent so this irritated me a bit. The only other issue was when I made my first payment, it didn't post to the account until over a month after I made it. They charged me a late fee which they DID remove after I showed them proof of payment made and the date it was made on. Customer service was really attentive and always there to answer my questions. Overall, a solid 4.
I have had a savings account with KeyBank for over 20 years. My mom started it for me as a kid and I just kept it going. I have never encountered any problems with them. The tellers have always been so nice and helpful if I had a question. I have considered changing my checking account to them too, but I get a nice little incentive for keeping it at my current bank. I would recommend KeyBank to anyone who wanted to start a savings account for themselves or their children. They are reliable, honest and do everything they can to keep their customers happy. At least in my experience!
I have been with Comerica bank for nearly 2 years now. The customer service has ALMOST always been satisfactory. They are kind, listen to your issues and try to figure out a solution promptly. My biggest concern with Comerica is not getting my direct deposits in a timely manner and when I deposit cash, it isn't always available right away. This can be crucial when I need to pay something online immediately and only have cash in my pocket. Everything else about this bank is pretty on point. They constantly change their disclosures which is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with their service and will continue banking with them.
