Do you need a Credit Union that understands and listens to its customers? Choose Navy Federal. I joined Navy Federal through with my husband who is in the service and it is by far the best credit union I ever joined. I have been a member of a few other credit unions and banks, since we move around. You need no minimum balance in their Checking account and there are no monthly fees. I love a bank or credit union that doesn't charge me for having my money in their hands. We had one problem with a transaction that went through twice and I called a customer service representative and I had an answer in minutes. They were very apologetic and the issue was fixed almost immediately. They don't beat around the bush or try to make up answers, they explain things so that you understand their answers. I have recommended this credit union to a few other service members and their wives and they keep thanking me. I told them not to thank me to thank Navy Federal! I cannot be more pleased with my experience. I plan to keep this as my main checking account for as long as they are around. If you want a credit union that is there for their service members and family, I wouldn't hesitate to sign up for Navy Federal. Thank you Navy Federal for offering the best services I have seen for a credit union.
I was only a member of American Heritage Federal Credit Union for a short time (2 years), but the time I had with them was nothing but positive! I should start off by saying that the reason I 'left' American Heritage was because of a move and it was no longer convenient to use this Credit Union. The branch that I was a member of is very well kept and is beautiful. I had a 'Totally Free Checking Plus' account with them, which I enjoyed. I am not one to like accounts where you need a certain balance or you get charged a fee, so this checking account was perfect for me. I also liked their 'Holiday Savings Account' option. I took part of that both years that I was a member, because it really helped come Christmas time! So if you need a place to put money away for the holidays definitely look into that option. Every time I needed to go to the credit union the service was quick and pleasant. The tellers were friendly and readily available to help me and made sure I had all answers to my questions. The application process was painless. As a customer, I look for quick and friendly service. American Heritage has all that plus some. The only negative aspect is their hours for service, both by phone and lobby. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday and most days only open to 5 or 6. Plus, if you need to use the Call Center you need to get all your questions in before 6 or 7pm, because then it just turns to an automated machine. So in that aspect it was frustrating, because sometimes I needed to deposit something over the weekend and just didn't have that access. If you don't mind depositing through ATM machines, then that wouldn't be a problem for you. I didn't have any official problems, as I wasn't there long enough, but any questions I was curious about were answered efficiently. If I didn't relocate, then I am sure I would still have my account here. I felt happy with American Heritage as a customer and would recommend them to a family or friend that were looking.
I have to say that I have been a member of PFFCU for over 4 years! I have family that been members for 3x longer than that and referred me. On the topic of referring, a couple of times a year they have an awesome referring program! It was the bonus money in the referral program that made me switch to this Credit Union. Who doesn't like "free&' money just for signing up or getting a debit card? The local branch that I go to here the tellers are so customer friendly and put your needs first. Another plus, that I want with a bank. Also, when I go in they usually have enough tellers operating that there is barely a wait. Nothing like going into a business and being served right away! My kind of business! The only downfall I have with PFFCU is the hours. However, they have "normal" hours, compared to my previous bank that had very customer friendly hours (which even included Sunday!) PFFCU doesn't have that perk, but that is the only thing I can say is a "con" Which really isn't a con anyway, if you are used to those type of hours from any other credit union or bank! PFFCU really sets an example on how a bank or credit union should be ran! If you have family members that are already a member, I highly recommend you get them to refer you so you can become a member of this fabulous credit union too!
I can not say enough good things about State Farm's home insurance! I started with AllState and it just felt like every time the policy renewed the price went up. I couldn't take it any longer and researched State Farm, because I heard good things from friends. Wow, they weren't wrong! I felt like AllState was WAY overcharging me. I have had Home Insurance with State Farm for over 7 years and don't have one complaint. That has to speak volumes for this company. We had a flood from a broken pipe and they sent out an adjuster and processed the claim in record speed. I couldn't believe how fast it was for me to get our check to do the repairs. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of in my home and with us. I am all about customer service! If you keep your customer happy, than you are doing an awesome job. State Farm is a very customer friendly company and are always there to answer any questions you need. I have not been steered wrong yet. I have to say I am proud I made the switch. I am thankful to have a company like State Farm covering my Home Insurance! If you are looking for a great home insurance company, please at least try and see what the rates are for State Farm in your area, because you won't be disappointed.
I had Geico before I met my husband and we switched to the company that he was currently with, because the rates were cheaper for the cars we were driving. I am trying to think about any issues that I had with Geico and honestly I can't think of any, so that is definitely a good thing. I never had any issues with this insurance company. I do have to say compared to other insurance companies I wasn't a fan of Geico's incentive programs. The company I am with now offers a huge discount for a clean record and good student, so we are saving a good bit of money compared to what I was paying with Geico. I am all about getting the same coverage or better coverage for less money, especially with the economy nowadays! When I called Geico to cancel my policy, my agent was very understanding which was a good thing, because usually you would get someone that is so pushy to keep the current policy. I am also all for friendly customer service, if you can be nice to me I will recommend you to my friends or family members. So, I do tell my friends when they ask, especially if they are in another area and have a different style car to check into Geico before going elsewhere since I had nothing but something positive to say about them. Go Geico!
My husband and I had Progressive for a short time. We were in the process of looking for a better insurance company than the one we had and after much research we found Progressive. The application process went smoothly and we got our coverage quick. At the time, they were the lowest in our area. I am all about getting the most for my money! Our agent was very friendly and a great people person. She was always there to answer questions and make sure things were running smoothly. Thankfully, we never had to make a claim, so I can't speak on that aspect, but I can gather if we had to it would have been taken care of quick due to the way the agent we were assigned handled all her business matters. I would definitely recommend Progressive if you are looking for a company that works for the best interest of their customers.
I want to start and say I been with TD Bank for over 7 years! That has to show how much I really value their services. My husband is also a value TD Bank user. I am from the PA area and go to a local branch that is conveniently located about a mile from my house. There are so many locations, which is a plus for me as a customer. The one reason I have stuck with this bank is their hours! What bank do you know has awesome hours on a SUNDAY? Plus, even on some holidays they have short hours, which is another convenience if you need to get money our. Every time I went into my local branch everyone is so friendly and ready to help with anything you need help with. The employees wear a smile on their face and make you feel welcomed. I had a problem where I accidentally over drafted my account and I admitted my issue and they out of their kindness waived my first overdraft fee! Also, I never seem to have to wait long when I am in there. My TD Bank is fully staffed and assisting to everyone in a timely matter. TD Bank really shows how a bank should be ran! I highly recommend TD Bank if you are looking for a bank that cares about their customers and has very convenient hour.
