My experience with Wells Fargo has been quite labored, but it was not their fault. I am the primary on an account for a relative who is currently living in a group home. My relative is mentally disabled and receives assistance from the state. Twice his identity has been compromised now. The first time is still unsolved, but the second time was as a result of a terrible care taker at his group home. At the time of the incidents, I was very upset and frustrated. The employees at Wells Fargo were more than helpful. They went very much out of their way to help me put this nightmare to an end. I am very thankful to the employees at Wells Fargo.
Having just recently bought a house, my experiences with purchasing home insurance are still pretty fresh. I have been a long time member with State Farm Insurance, having auto insurance with them for some time and also renter's insurance. One of my agents helped me find a really great agent to help me find the right home insurance. I thought it was going to be complicated because my partner and I weren't married but we did purchase the house together. My agent was really accommodating and thorough in explaining the different policies and what would be suitable for us. I was really appreciative this was all so new and I really didn't know what I was doing or even wanted. I was afraid I'd be taken advantage of, but really wanted to do this on my own, with my partner’s help. The agent was honest and very helpful. Fortunately, I haven't had to fill out a claim, but I am completely confident in State Farm in doing everything they can in the instance I need to.
After my bank was bought out and went "national" I decided to examine my options in terms of local credit unions. I've never had any experience with credit unions, but I knew I wanted to stay local. I don't know why I didn't switch sooner! I haven't been charged a single "hidden" fee that so many other banks nickel and dime you for, such as fees for ATMs, check charges, etc. The overall service is excellent. I really appreciate the feel of a "home" bank. Their assistance in planning my financial future has been fantastic. I don't feel like I'm being "sold" but rather advised. Those of you looking to switch-- DO IT!
When I decided to get my own car insurance (separate from my parents), I did a lot of research trying to find the best deal and coverage. I was really surprised to find that Liberty Mutual had the best rate. I was with them for almost nine years and the only reason I left was because I got a better rate for “bundled” insurance. Fortunately, I didn’t need to contact them, but the couple of times that I did, I received thorough and friendly customer service. My only “issue” with them is the time it took to get my Defensive Driving discount, but they prorated me after it was finally resolved. I would highly recommend that others look into their plans and rates while researching insurance options as they are very competitive, despite not being as well-known as other companies.
I have been with Bank of America for just a few years but I love them. I commute out of state for my job and love the convenience Bank of America offers. Their hours are flexible, their drive-up ATMs offer every service I need, and their branches are popping up everywhere. I only have a savings account and checking account with them at the moment, but am working with them to start the process for buying a house. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I’m glad they are on my side. I hope to continue doing business with Bank of America for a long time.
