Nationwide was one of my first car insurance policies. When I first started driving they were the cheapest for me given my age and lack of experience on the roads. I was assigned a wonderful agent, Jennifer, who helped me get set up without a hitch and made sure I received top notch customer service. The sign-up was no headache at all. My time with them was just what I was looking for in an insurance agency. I can't say that I have any complaints. They offer several discounts that can be applied to your account and who doesn't like saving money? If you are looking for friendly customer service and low rates I would gladly recommended Nationwide. Unfortunately, I did have to cancel my policy, because I switched over to the company my husband was on when I got married, but the cancellation process was smooth. They didn't try to hassle me into staying and were very friendly. I did let them know that if our rates went up with the company we are with now that I would be a returning customer of theirs because of the service they have given me.
I love the service that I have had with State Farm's Home Insurance. After researching for the best price in my area, State Farm won hands down! I found an agent, Tom, and I couldn't be happier. He is very friendly, cares about our well-being and makes sure his customers are number one. We had one issue of flooding in our house, and the claim went smooth and quick. I had an adjustment check within a short time period. I couldn't get over how quick they were working with me so I could get my repairs done on my home from the damage of the flood. That shows me their customers are number one. That is what I call service and dedication. I have had Home Insurance with State Farm for over 5 years and have never had an issue and that has to speak volumes. If you want an insurance company with low rates, friendly agents, and quick service then you are definitely looking at the right insurance company! State Farm is there for their customers. I wasn't disappointed and you won't be either.
TD Bank was the first bank I opened an account with when I needed a checking and savings account. I was a TD Bank member for 5 years. I liked that in my city there were numerous locations, so it was very convenient if I needed money or needed to deposit. Convenience was one thing I was looking for when I was deciding which bank to open an account in. The other thing that caught my attention was their availability to their customers. They have hours at their branches that I’ve never seen for a bank. They are even open on Sundays! I had no issues with their customer service, I had an issue with a check not getting cashed and obviously lost and they were very kind to stop the missing check and even waived the fee, because it was my first one. I was floored and thanked the service rep numerous times. Even the tellers at the bank cared about you as a person and made sure to greet you with a warm smile and send you on your way with sentiments. The only thing I didn't like with TD Bank is when they started charging fees for keeping my money with them, and switched what type of ATMs we could use without fees. I just don't like when a bank charges me for keeping my money. Other than that issue, I had no problems with TD and if you are looking for a bank that is convenient in the hours and location department, has friendly customer service representatives and tellers, then by all means I do recommend TD Bank!
I was a member of FedChoice Federal Credit Union for two years. I state 'was' because I had to close my accounts there, because I took on a new job and relocated therefore out of convenience the location of this Credit Union was no good for my needs. However, my time as a member with FedChoice made me feel like I made a "GREAT" choice and I'm disappointed I don't have a FedChoice around my new area! Every time I had a question I never once walked away from a conversation feeling still confused. I was helped until I was 100% satisfied. Satisfaction is their priority and it shows! I absolutely loved that they have a "Free Checking Account" - that means NO fees and NO minimum balance. I hate when I have to pay fees on my money. Their Savings Accounts is just as good. I only had to pay $50 up front and keep $50 in that account, so I could earn dividends and have no maintenance fees. That was not a problem. Like I said, when I was looking for a new bank two years ago I didn't think twice. I look for excellent customer service, friendliness, and something simple. I don't want to have to argue or jump through hoops to get my money in or our of my accounts and I never had this problem with FedChoice. It was a winner in my eyes and still is a winner in my eyes. If I ever have one around me again, I will be transferring right back. I recommend my friends who hold federal jobs to go there if they are in the general area! If you have to make a choice for a credit union, make your choice FedChoice! You won't be disappointed.
I have to start this review with saying how much I enjoy Philadelphia Federal Credit Union (PFCU). I was a "fan" of them right from the moment I walked into the local branch here and inquired about a Holiday Savings Account. As, I was talking to an accountant to get me set-up, I also decided to just open a Checking and Regular Savings account, too. I am so glad I did! I love their "PFCU Checking" because it has No Monthly Fees & you don't need a minimum balance! So many banks make you keep a certain amount of money in your accounts or you are charged. Not PFCU! So that was a bonus! The Savings account is very similar, except you need to keep $5 in there, which was no problem! I leave the $5 in there that I deposited in there when I signed up. The whole process and transition was so smooth. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. That was definitely something I look for when I am transferring and opening accounts. I haven't had any problems, so I can't "review" that, but when I do have questions all it took was a quick phone call and I had my answer. That is what I call service! The only downfall is with the "Check Card/ATM" make sure you do read the fees, because you are only allowed 10 ATM Withdrawals in a month or else there is a small fee after 10. However, I barely withdraw money so that wasn't a "problem" for me. Just keeping my review honest. Other than that, I have been a very happy PFCU customer! I have even recommended them to a good friend. Great service!
I am going to be against the minority here probably with my opinion on Sovereign Bank. They were one of my first banks and I have to say, I am so glad I closed my account with them. I never felt valued as a customer there. There was a time when I had to go to the local branch and dispute a charge on my account, so I waited for my turn and explained my situation to the teller, who referred me to another worker at the branch. Let me just say, she was very rude about the situation and made me seem like I was such an inconvenience to her. I felt my nerves rattled the moment I walked out of there. Not only that, their hours are less than stellar for any individual that works regular 8-5 hours or so. Plus, they have a long hold on checks. I also was not happy with the fees they implement on the accounts compared to other branches around here they were very high! I just felt my money was better off in another location and since my experience with Sovereign Bank, I have not recommended them to any of my friends.
I just recently started with ING within 2 years. I joined when they had a special deal going on to open a checking account. The deal of getting an extra $50 after using the debit card attached to my account made me do the jump. I am so glad I decided to go ahead with it! Their interest rates for Savings account is very deal worthy, too! I love that I can access my account at any time of the day. It is also a bonus for me to have no monthly service fees or ATM charges. You don't need a monthly balance and we all know sometimes it is hard to keep a $100 in an account when bills come around, so other banks charge a service fee. NOT ING! I also like their new acceptance of scanning checks. No waiting in line, driving and using gasoline to deposit a check. All you have to do is clearly scan the check and you are on your way right from the convenience of your own home. I have had no issues when I had to call a customer service representative. The prompt is clearly laid out on the phone and every representative was there to help me and answer any questions I had. I am all about a bank that has friendly service, easy customer service representatives, and can answer my questions. If you ever want an online bank, I recommend ING 105%! You won't be disappointed!
