Ms. Brown's provides excellent customer service. She's quick to answer any questions, follow up when she promises and remembers your name and information without having to be prompted. Though she are associated with Allstate, her office has a small office/company feel, which does make me feel as if I'm truly cared about. She sends birthday and holiday cards, which is a nice touch, and is not too pushy with new services. She also sends weather related insurance information during the beginning of hurricane and snow season too, which is extremely helpful and needed. Ms. Brown is a very competent and helpful insurance agent.
I have nothing but good things to say about the Navy Federal credit union. You don't have to be physically in the military to obtain a membership. You do, however, need to have immediate family in the military. I fit into the immediate family category. I was originally skeptical of a credit union directly related to the military, as the commercials seem to project the credit union as a “one stop shop.” In all actuality, my skepticism didn’t last long, as I found that truly all my needs were met, and all questions were answered. The application process was extremely easy, and the customer service representatives were very knowledgeable. The loans are at a low interest rate, with some ability to refinance if necessary. They can also be deposited on to a debit card, which was particularly useful and helpful in my situation. I felt completely welcome, the staff projected themselves as subject matter experts and the membership benefits were fantastic. There are added bonuses that you wouldn’t initially expect: the credit union provides percentages off on vendors such as Turbo Tax, obtaining your credit report, Geico and car rentals. The online and mobile banking is a plus, and the website is extremely easy to navigate. I would highly recommend Navy Federal Credit Union for all your banking needs.
I have the Bank of America cash rewards credit card, and have nothing but positive things to say about the entire program. One outstanding perk is free checks, but the customer service benefits are amazing. I recently made a banking error by accidentally sending myself a check from my credit card account instead of paying the balance which was due. I logged into my account to find the error, and a $35 late fee had been deducted from my account. I called Bank of America service center, explained my error and they immediately deleted the late fee. They also checked to ensure that my payment had gone through, then asked if they could help with anything else. They most certainly did not have to cancel the late fee for my error, but it further proved what a good bank Bank of America is. The cash rewards program, which gives a percentage back into your checking for grocery and gas purchases, is one of the best banking programs around.
I've had only positive experiences with Bank of America, over my past 5 years of banking with them. My most recent experience involved the fact that I accidentally downloaded a computer virus, and I was concerned that my online banking information had been compromised. The customer service representative not only assisted in putting a watch on my account, but gave me further steps to ensure that my information was safe. She was 3 steps ahead of me, which truly enhanced my trust with the bank. My only complaint is that a fee exists if you choose to open a second checking account. There are ways around it (elect not to have money directly deposited), but it does seem a bit unfair to charge an already existing customer more money to open a second checking account. Otherwise, their customer service is impeccable and their online banking (and droid app) work wonderfully.
