I banked with Oswego County Federal Credit Union while living in Oswego when my partner was attending school. We were especially pleased with the friendly customer service and the useful online site. When we visited the office in person, employees worked together to make sure that we had a pleasant experience and that we were well informed. Online, we could easily transfer funds between our accounts and pay bills. We could also find out our account balance through the internet while out and about, and see if transactions had processed. I think the best thing was knowing that our finances were being handled locally. We always try to do business locally when possible and Oswego County FCU really fit the bill. No complaints from us!
I have had a State Farm home insurance policy, and although it wasn’t the cheapest policy around, the customer service was worth it. I enjoyed the personal attention that the agents gave me, and the prompt attention that any questions I had received. I had a claim once from a minor house fire. The agents who responded were quick and helped me fill out paperwork in record time. They were sensitive to my emotional state at the time, and that is very important to me. A settlement was promptly reached, and I was pretty happy with it. I was glad that I could get needed repairs as quickly as possible so that my home would be livable again.
I have been a long time customer at Summit FCU, and I have always appreciated their personable, friendly customer service. I have had a few problems, and the staff always bends over backwards to make sure that they are resolved to my satisfaction. I find this unusual in customer service nowadays, so I am glad to retain my membership here! Their financial products are all satisfactory too. I use my checking account somewhat regularly, and my savings account makes adequate interest. They have online access which is convenient to me, and their five convenient Syracuse locations are spread out enough so I can always find one when I need to.
I was a Progressive Insurance customer for 5 years. I switched to Progressive because of their low rates and the ease of doing business with this company. (I could sign up at their website and do all transactions online.) Unfortunately, they did not live up to my expectations. Every year, it seemed that their service got worse and it became more and more difficult to do business with them. First, whenever I had a question about our bill, it would take a really long time to get a response. First I tried asking online, but when there was no response after a week, I tried calling. I was usually on hold for over fifteen minutes and often the person I was talking to would have difficulties answering my question and would make me wait while she referred me to someone else. Second, my rates kept going up every term, even though I had not gotten any tickets, been in any accidents, or had made any changes to my policy. I was rather naive and assumed this was normal, until my friends and family told me it was odd. The end results were that I looked at the rates at other companies and decided to switch.
I first learned about GEICO auto insurance on the internet about 7 years ago, when I was trying to find a way to lower my car insurance payments. I saw an ad that they would save me money, and when I ran a quote, I was truly surprised at how much switching to GEICO would save me! I quickly switched policies, and I have not been sorry! Every time my policy comes up for renewal, I search around for lower prices, and I have not found any. The customer service is good too. I have had questions and needed to get extra copies of paperwork, and this has usually been a straightforward process. My only complaint is that sometimes I have been told one thing by a customer service operator by phone and another thing online. In these cases, I have had to been assertive in speaking to managers to get my needs met. It has taken a few extra moments, but in general, everyone I have spoken to is friendly and truly tries to help.
Alliance Bank is a great bank. I have been banking there for a few years now, and I would not consider switching banks. They have wonderful truly free checking accounts with no minimum balance. Their staff is always friendly and helpful. I have had a couple of problems, but there was always someone ready to help me quickly find a resolution whether I called on the phone or stopped by one of my local branches. Alliance Bank is a local bank with that neighborhood bank feel, while still being large enough to have plenty of branches not only in my community but also in nearby cities where I frequently travel. They also have an excellent website with many online banking services offered free with their accounts.
