I highly recommend Westfield Insurance; they have been nothing but helpful. From the moment that I called for information about car insurance, just shopping around, they sent me all sorts of information to help me decide if they were what I was looking for and see what they offered. When I decided to go with them, I went in and talked to Jane (who has been my car insurance agent for 3 years). No matter what the questions were, she made them feel like they were not silly questions. I was treated with respect and I liked that. The policies they offer are laid out and they will explain any and all of them in plain English (so normal people can understand). They are not pushy when it comes to “selling” the insurance and really listen to you and what you need. Even when I had a fender bender, Jane picked up the phone as soon as I called and got a jump start on all I needed to do. She went as far as to call me the next day to make sure I was ok (could be because I had a great relationship with her but still...what other insurance does that?!). The payments are also really great, they will work with you with anything you need.
My family has been a part of the OHCU family for years and would recommend them to anyone who is interested in them. But don't let their small size fool you. You will get full service here and never ever be disappointed! I got my first account there and was CLUELESS about the process or why credit unions were different than banks. I was explained EVERYTHING I could possibly need to know about credit unions and as I was filling out paper work I was being explained all the details of what each paper needed and why. The employees there really know how to take care of you and all of them even know me by name. They take the time to care about their customers, and I love that!
Awesome Credit Union and great place to get an account! The moment I stepped in, I saw nothing but nice people. They had always treated me really well no matter why I went in there and solved any problem I had fast and easy! Even calling the place is a pleasure. They are really friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that around lunchtime they get a little busy (what place doesn't?) and that was when I started my application process so I had to take some off for that. I ended up sitting at the desk for 10 minutes before anyone got to sit down and go over the process with me. That is not a big deal, but lunch time is the worst! One other drawback is that deposits don't automatically appear but take 2 days to be applied to the account. I never had an issue with that, but some people did. It's been a while since I was with them, so that may have changed. Otherwise, a great place to bank!
When I first got my Regions account, the teller who helped me set up the account was the best. He was nice, explained how much I needed to deposit and that I could use it after things cleared. Well, I was happy to have such great service. Too bad it only lasted that day. The next time I went in, the tellers were not friendly and just seemed like they were there to “do the job and go home.” I went to another location across town, same thing. Kind of “meh” tellers. Forget about it if you have a problem and have to call the customer service #! I set on hold for 30 minutes to talk to one, but the rep hung up on me. I called back again and explained that the rep hung up on me and was told “Something must be wrong with YOUR phone.” Uhm. No. A little while later, I did find a Regions bank that was helpful and all the tellers were really nice, but it was 30 minutes out of my way!! Eventually, I got my account closed (which was a hassle) and the teller turned on the charm then to get me to stay with them. I kept telling them I just wanted my account closed, sorry. An hour later, it was closed. Not the best customer service, but if you find a bank where the tellers are helpful and nice it might be worth banking there. For me, it is not.
Direct Auto has been my insurance company for the past year and I have no idea why I even waited to get this insurance! When I switched over, I had the pleasure of talking to Jane who was the nicest woman in the world. She really helped me understand what plan would be best for me all the while understanding that I wanted it to be as CHEAP as possible! Let me tell you, the girl hooked it up and I have never been happier! I have a great full coverage plan and all for a reasonable price. Anytime I have ever had a problem or needed to contact them, they were there and all very very helpful. If you don't have Direct Auto, you need to get it STAT! Best insurance in the world!
It is safe to say that I have NEVER had any issues with this bank! I had banked there for 7 years, started banking there by accident (small town, few banks to choose from) and I went into their bank instead of the one my family banks at. Needless to say, I love US Bank better and that was a happy accident! The staff is top notch. If there ever was a problem with my account, the clerks all made it their mission to find out what was wrong and go beyond their normal call of duty to solve the issue for me. One time my account was missing 200 dollars after my payroll check was direct deposited in, I had no idea about it until one of the clerks there called me up and asked me if something was wrong since I have never been overdrawn or anything. Turns out, while inputting my check, someone missed a couple of digits and didn't put the right amount. They apologized despite it being a silly mistake that was fixable (thank goodness I had my check stub to prove that the deposit was more than what was on the computer!). They will work with you no matter what your issue is. They also have no problem with exchanging large amounts of coins in wrappers for cash, at least they have always been extra happy about me bringing in those pesky coins. They always greet me like old family and have the best overall “customer banking attitude” that makes things right when they go wrong. They work with you on every aspect of banking. I would recommend it to ANYONE and EVERYONE!
