I have been with CNA for my home insurance for several years now, and overall, I've been pretty satisfied. Anytime I've had to speak to someone regarding my rates or other issues, I've had a pleasant experience. The workers truly know what they are talking about; they have patience, and do their jobs well. Interest rates are pretty low compared to the other insurance companies around, and I never get the sense that they are trying to rip me off. I pay a monthly set amount for my insurance, and it’s never gone up. I feel as if this is a company that I can trust, and one that I would highly recommend to anyone.
Before Allstate, I was with Geico. They kept ripping me off and I got to the point where I couldn't even handle them anymore. I switched to Allstate, and it was the best decision I've made in a long time. Not only are my rates lower (honestly), but I always know why I'm getting charged the prices I am, and they don't try to take money from me unnecessarily. Whenever I've needed to speak to someone at Allstate about a concern, I get a live person in less than 5 minutes. This is something I haven't experienced with other car insurance companies. I am very happy that I decided to make the switch, and I'd recommend them to anyone.
Okay so, after my HORRIBLE experience with TD Bank, any bank looks good! Montauk was a credit union I decided to try out after. I was amazed by their customer service. People actually take time to listen to you and answer your questions and concerns. However, over time, Montauk credit union didn't live up to my expectations. They charge $15 to cash a certified check, which is completely unacceptable in my opinion. I don't appreciate the price gauging at all! On top of it, they charge me $10 a month for my checking account, when I can find banks that don't charge me anything due to being a student. I probably wouldn't recommend this credit union.
I belong to several credit unions, but the Municipal Credit Union has been great! Definitely one of my favorites. The Municipal Credit Union is one that I've been completely satisfied with. The only negative about it, which is why I dropped a star, is the lines you have to deal with when you go into the actual bank. I waited a half hour the other day just to make a deposit, which is unacceptable. Otherwise, I've never had a problem. I love that their savings offers an interest rate, that's enough to keep me banking with them for life! Highly recommend!
After having a lot of issues with a previous bank, I switched over to Citibank. It was honestly the best decision I've made in a long time. Citibank is very convenient for me, only 5 minutes away. I appreciate the drive up ATM, and the easy banking when you go to a teller. You can get your money from any ATM in a 7-11 store, which has been a life saver to me. Customer support is always available, and I feel good knowing that. When I've come close to overdrafting, they called me up to let me know. There are no fees since I have a student account, which works in my favor. I would highly recommend this bank.
American Eagle Federal Credit Union is great! I've had some minor issues in the past, and I've always been able to resolve them quickly through their customer service center. Unlike other credit unions, it's easy to get a hold of customer service and they've always been very helpful. Interest rates are low, and they always send me a bill and a text message reminder to let me know the bill is due. The bank itself has never given me any type of issue; if there is a change in my account, they let me know immediately. If they suspect suspicious activity, they always call me to double check it's really me making the purchases. I'd recommend this union to anyone!
I have been an unhappy TD Bank customer for the past 2 years and I am looking to switch banks. I have had several bad experiences with this bank. First of all, they have put a block on my checking account five times in the 2 years I've been with them. This has been due to suspicious activity on my account. What bothers me is, they don't even let me know! Instead, I had to be embarrassed in a store when I go to make a purchase and get told that my card has declined. Aside from that, they charge ridiculous overcharge fees. For each transaction, they charge $35; it doesn't matter if It's only a penny, you will get charged the $35. Aside from all of that, there are numerous times when their online banking system is down, their ATM's don't work, and their customer service isn't available. As soon as I pay off my overage charges, I will be switching. DON'T USE THIS BANK!
