I wasn't a fan of Wells Fargo. When I banked with them I was working a lot of different hours and it was never convenient to get there when the bank was open. I needed a bank that had more hours and more locations. It might be different now since that was some years ago. The customer service in person was fine, but again, nothing to write home about. Everyone that I dealt with just seemed either bored or didn't really want to be bothered. I really do like friendly service and it helps to have a connection with a bank. You want to feel comfortable in dealing with a company that has your money. It wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn't for me.
I have been with Mark Arens State Farm since I moved to Minnesota more than 28 years ago. OUTSTANDING service. I've needed to contact Mark several times over the years and the prompt service is wonderful. Mark and his staff actually know who you are when you call. What a treat! You aren't a number, you aren't a bother. You are someone that they want to help. I have never felt the need to shop around for insurance since not only do I feel I receive the best value from State Farm and from Mark, but it's nice to be able to pick up the phone when you are already stressed about an incident, and have them actually be compassionate and helpful. I have never hesitated to suggest Mark Arens State Farm agency to anyone looking to change Agents.
I have had the same insurance company since I began driving. That was a long time ago! State Farm was the company that my parents had and the company that I have. Now that I'm older, I use State Farm for my car, and my home, and all of my personal affects. I've always been amazed that when I call my agent Mark Arens office that they seem to know who I am even though I call maybe once every 2 years just to get a check-up on my policies. State Farm cannot be beat in terms of service, customer service, quality, or price. I'm always amazed to hear how many times people change insurance companies. Not only have I had the same company but the same agent for the past 25+ years. I guarantee that I wouldn't change even if someone paid ME to change. Keep up the great work State Farm. You have a customer for life!
I've been a customer of Bank of America for approximately 8 years, after they purchased my mortgage from a different mortgage company. I wasn't pleased when my loan was first sold to them as I spent a great deal of time being transferred from one department/person to another. Over the years I have requested many times to stop paper communication, and every time the representative states it will be taken care of, but last week I received a paper statement again. At the beginning of November 2012 I contacted Bank of America and spoke with two different people regarding an early payment I made, and was told there was no record of the payment and the confirmation number I had wouldn't help them. 3 days later I received a letter in the mail stating they attempted to contact me to confirm that I wanted to make an extra payment, but cancelled it because they couldn't reach me. It's frustrating dealing with a company that doesn't train their reps on where/how to look for information. I do enjoy their website though. It is user friendly. It is easy to find information and it appears to be up-to-date. Since I don’t want to refinance my mortgage I'll stick it out and hopefully continue to be able to communicate with Bank of America strictly on their website.
I have been a loyal customer of TCF National Bank for over 20 years. They have many locations and are open 7 days a week just like they advertise. Their customer service, whether it's on the phone, drive-thru or walk in has always been top notch! I consider TCF to be the working man’s bank as they are open when I need them to be. Great customer service is very important to me and no matter how I choose to do my banking with them, I've never had a complaint in all my 20+ years with them.
