While the 5% bonus might seem minimal at first, it seriously adds up if you frequent Target like I do. Buying some groceries and clothing here seriously pays off and makes Target such a value. Their customer service is great as well. The security issue does worry me a bit since Target had a problem with that recently, but I trust the company to fix everything in case that does happen, and doubt another breach would occur soon.
This card is a lifesaver. Victoria's Secret already has amazing deals and coupons, so it may surprise you to know that this card brings almost twice as many rewards. But it seriously does. Of all the credit cards I've had, this is the one most worth the sign-up and the bills. You get free gifts, discounts, coupons, and news of all their sales. This is one of those stores that's necessary to shop at for a lot of women, and so it just makes sense to take out the card. There are no penalties at all (unless you make a late payment) and it helps build easy credit.
The Express Store card is a great option for those who already frequent Express. The rewards are earned fast if you shop there often, the fees are minimal (only if you miss payments, which hello! you really shouldn't on any card!), and it therefore gives you more incentive to shop often. My statements were not mailed to me which was somewhat of an issue, but the customer service surrounding this card was reliable and cooperative, they helped me resolve my problems.
Unfortunately this card is not all it's cracked up to be. They tell you all the perks up front to get you to apply and then fail to deliver everything they spoke of all while concealing the less appealing parts of the card like the extremely high interest rate. Having limited experience with credit cards before this one, I was expecting it to be the best so far considering its title and rank. This was a pretty terrible introduction to "gold" ranked credit cards. Maybe the card would be better suited for others, but I was disappointed and remain unsatisfied by my experiences with it.
