Capital one bank has been one of the few choices I had to make when choosing the right bank for me. I opened up a free checking account to see how it was. Overall, their staff is friendly and very courteous. I enjoy having small chat with their employees when I drop in to deposit a check or two. Though I would have to say their application process isn't nearly as good as other banks. Its still solid but its slightly more of an annoyance than other top banks. Despite that, I am overall content with this bank, it has not done me wrong yet and the people are nice which is what I appreciate.
Wells Fargo caught my eye a few months back. I saw a promotion they were running at a school fair and was interested. I talked to a few people and they convinced me to sign up for a checking account. The people there really do care about you as they are willing to take the time to explain everything. I had all my questions answers and it's something I can really appreciate since nowadays a lot of places treat customers as nothing more than ways to make money. So upon signing up for my checking account, I also received a few perks due to the promotion. I am happy with the honesty and the level of care Wells Fargo provides and have had no issues as of yet. I would definitely recommend them to people who are looking for a place to open a checking account.
I checked out California Bear Credit Union because it was one of the few Southern California credit unions mentioned by a former classmate of mine when I asked about recommendations for a credit union. Turns out they were just “ok". Nothing really stood out and what made things worse was their lack of customer service, or at least that was the experience I received with one of the representatives a few years back. I wanted to get a car loan for my new car purchase but asking a few questions felt harder than it should be. I still signed up just to try it out. Needless to say I didn't stay for that long. Maybe it was just me, but California Bear Credit Union wasn't the credit union I was looking for.
Glendale Federal Credit Union was mentioned to me by a classmate a few years back. I checked them out and I have to say, they didn't really do anything to help me. I felt pressured to sign up and when I asked questions the person seemed to be dodgy and never really answered them. Outside of that experience (maybe it was a bad day), Glendale credit union was pretty solid. Nothing really amazing but nothing really bad to say. Their customer service could be worked on and improved, but otherwise it felt like I came to get business done and leave ASAP. I would recommend it to those in the area but maybe take note of their customer service in case they experience something similar.
If you are living in SoCal you want a decent home insurance to protect you from earthquakes and various other environmental damages. So I took a look around at various home insurance providers and finally decided to learn more about Allstate home insurance. The customer service is definitely top notch. I wasn't really knowledgeable about home insurance but they sure took the time to explain everything to me. They answered any question I had and treated me well at the same time. Since then I have signed up with Allstate home insurance and have had zero issues with them. Anytime I had a question they were polite and answer all of my questions over the phone. I would recommend Allstate insurance based on my experience with their agents/representatives.
I first took a look into Chase last year during their offer of $100 for signing up for a checking account. So, I walked into my local Chase branch and I have to say their customer service was top-notch. They treated me really well, gave me all the details I needed and answers to all the questions that I had. It was their customer service plus their bonus that sold me over, and since then I have enjoyed my decision with signing up with Chase banking. What I like most is their online banking features, where I can check my spending and gauge how much I have in my checking. I definitely recommend Chase for those that are looking for a great banking experience.
I was introduced to California Credit Union while I was attending a local university at CSUN by a friend. I decided to take a look and visit their website and found that their rates and services were pretty good. So I decided to check into the closest branch to learn more. They treated me very well and answered all my questions on the spot. I signed up through their application process, which was no hassle, and checked out their features. I personally enjoy the online features they have because as a student it made everything so convenient. I would have no issues recommending people to check out California Credit Union and learning more. It was a great experience and definitely one of the better hassle-free experiences that I have had.
A while back I was looking up different car insurances to see what was right for me. After awhile I stumbled upon GEICO and instantly remembered the commercials they used to do with the gecko. So I signed up and gave it a try after reading some of the reviews. The application process is really easy. They make sure to make it easy and stress free as much as possible. That is something I greatly appreciate because I’d rather not waste my time with just the application process. I also appreciate the amount of care their customer service provides. Anytime I had a question they were there to politely answer and didn't seem bothered at all. I would definitely recommend GEICO based on the fact that they treat their customers like humans compared to most business.
Bank of America has been nothing but great to me. I signed up as a college student a few years back and was given great customer service and was walked step by step through their application process. Every step was smooth from the beginning till the end, and every time I go to Bank of America to deposit money, the lines are short and the procedure is fast. I am in and out within a few minutes every time. To this day I still gladly use Bank of America due to their fantastic customer support. For instance, last year I lost my debit card late at night in the city and I called up Bank of America immediately and they reassured me that the card would be immediately canceled and they would send a replacement card ASAP. The whole entire process made me feel safe and secure. This is why I would gladly recommend Bank of America to all my friends and family.
