I have nothing bad to say about my experience with Wells Fargo. I have been with them for about 2 years and everything has been pretty smooth sailing and hassle free. I haven't really had to deal with their problem resolution because I have not had a bad experience with this bank thus far. I joined this bank for the reason that it’s a large sized bank that I visit when traveling for business and for the ease of their online banking and drive-up ATM services. Concerning their customer service, my particular branch is pretty consistent and provides overall a pleasant experience. However, I have been at several other branches and they are a little disorganized, scatter minded and unhelpful.
I have been a Bank of America customer for years (around 8 or so). I never had a problem with them until about 2-3 years ago. The customer service has become horrendous. They will not give you any answers about anything and they have the most “roundabout” disclosures I ever heard. Numerous times, after depositing my monthly check, they hold the money for a specific amount of time (like most banks). However, they would then add on days and days. Sometimes weeks pass before I can have my money that is in my bank account and I have to go borrow money from a friend for food. Even though my money is in my bank account I can't access it. Also, the lady I tried resolving this issue with at my branch is horrible. Again, unclear disclosures, unhelpful....to the point I reported her because she would actually play some games. I know that sounds a little insane but I think she knew my husband and I reported her and she was playing little games at the teller trying to confuse us with our deposits. My husband believes she was doing so as well, so we now have a bank account at a different bank. It’s going fine so far! BOA has some issues.
My family is protected by State Farm Liability and home owners insurance. We switched to them about a year ago and we are really enjoying their service thus far. The customer service is solid. They are always attentive towards our family’s needs and very thorough in explaining all parts of their coverage. They were pretty clear in explaining the disclosures. To me fine print is fine print and it’s always difficult to fully process the information right then and there. I haven't had any problems with State Farm's home insurance so I have no experience with their problem resolution skills However, from the impression I have from their service....I can only argue it must rock!
I have been dealing with USAA since I received my driver’s license and I would never change insurance companies. They have the best rates (unmatched by any other insurance company) and they always provide the best customer service. There was a period where I was concerned with how much I was spending on my car insurance, so I decided to shot around a little bit. Well, every time I spoke with another insurance company the first thing they asked is who I was currently insured by. When I told them I was with USAA they quickly replied with “We can't do any better”. There, just that great.
