I like Wells Fargo, and I think this is a great card to have. I like how you can earn points for money spent. I would recommend applying for this card, if you are looking for a new credit card to have.
I have had my JCPenney Store card for a few years now, but I don't use it much, unless I can pay off the balance within 2-3 billing cycles. The interest is a little steep, but average for store cards in general. I like getting the JCP Rewards a lot, and use them to buy items in the store. I like the fact that I can make a payment on my card at the store, and sometimes use my card to purchase items, and turn right around and pay off my balance. The more you use your card, the more rewards you can get. All in all, I am happy with my card, and would recommend it for anyone trying to build their credit.
I have had my Kohl's card for about 2 years now, and I love it! I love being able to buy items with my card, and get a 'discount' for using my card, and then just turning around and paying for the items I charged right there in the store. They have great sales for cardholders, so you can get really good deals when shopping and using your Kohl's card, as long as you pay off the balance before interest hits, since it is high, which is pretty typical with store credit cards. I recommend this for anyone that is trying to establish credit.
I have been a member of NC State Employees' Credit for about 10+ years now. The monthly fee is $1.00. I absolutely love them! I have had several different bank accounts over the years, and they are hands down, one of the best. The customer service is awesome, and they treat you like family. I have had two car loans with them, and it is simple as a phone call, and they have some of the lowest interest rates. I also have a savings account with NCSECU and they have the best (that I have seen) interest. If you are looking for a new bank, I highly recommend NCSECU!
I became a member of this credit union about 15 years ago, through a family member. This is a great credit union, and they treat you as an individual, not just a number. They take the time to find out what your needs are, and help you in achieve your goals, whether it be getting a loan, or saving money. They have low-interest loans as well. If you are eligible to join this credit union, I would highly recommend it. They have convenient locations all over town, including branches and ATM machines. There is a very low monthly fee to maintain your checking account, but it is worth it just for the 'personal' treatment you receive here over a traditional bank.
