I joined Green River Basin Credit Union when I moved to Green River Wyoming 3 years ago. I had a very positive experience when opening my account because they were able to waive a fee that I had accrued because I didn’t quite understand how the credit union worked yet. I know if I had been at a bank that this would never have happened. I was treated very nicely by the staff and made quite welcome, they easily explained the benefits of joining a credit union over a bank and I was instantly sold. They have been nothing but helpful ever since, I have only positive things to say about Green River Basin Credit Union.
I’ve had my home insured under State Farm for 25 years. In all those years I’ve never once considered changing companies. I have had two roofs replaced because of hail damage and both times they have sent competent staff members, sometimes from as far away as Texas (I live in Wisconsin). Their quotes have always been enough to cover a well reviewed construction company. They have always been helpful and once you find an agent that you can really relate to and come to know as a person, they are incomparable in the insurance world from what I’ve heard about other insurance companies.
I had opened my first bank account ever with Associated Bank and had been a loyal customer for 5 years. But once they started changing their policies I knew I had to get out of that institution as fast as possible. They tried to slyly change their user agreements so that you had to pay to have your accounts closed and they would hit you with hidden fees if you tried to withdraw everything and switch banks. I was convinced to change banks after my brother ran into several problems while banking with them and I decided I needed to get out before I experienced those same things. I switched to a credit union and have been so much happier since then. Heck they even paid me 100 dollars to open up an account with them, something a bank would never do since they solely want your business to increase their own profits.
I have a pretty good relationship with my car insurance provider, Geico. I have had my insurance with them for about 7 months and they have by far the lowest price. I'm a 23 year old male and have no accidents and they beat the competitor’s prices by a couple hundred dollars over a 6 month period. My customer service experience has been great too. They've always responded quickly to any concerns I have. I have not yet had to resolve a problem with them and hope I never will. I'm confident that when I do though they will be helpful and trustworthy. I look forward to being a Geico customer for a long time.
